Add a 30 day impound of the vehicle. That would be about $3500 in towing and storage, plus they'd have to deal with not having the car. Make the punishment severe enough and people will learn.
THE KIDS ON TV ANDHE'S LOOKING AROUND ALL BORED WAITING TO GET HOME AND EAT JUNK FOOD AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES KIDS ARE SO OUT OF SHAPE TODAY ITS NOTHINGG LIKE THE 50'S AND 60'S 70'S
How can you claim ignorance of the school bus laws if you have a driver's license. You went threw drivers ed. And took the exam. It's on the test in all 50 states.
Sure it does. The criminal drivers don’t get caught until they kill some kid. Hell we have them murdered in the crosswalks bear our high school. One guy got 2 years for murdering a kid and was out in 12 months. We have a small community. He was never seen around town again and a few months later mommie and daddie moved away too.
Here in NJ, on occasion I have seen this: A bus driver coming the other way will put the yellow lights on while clearly still moving, and I have had the driver in front of me slam on the brakes and just stop, instead of slowing down and preparing to stop if the reds come on. On a different note I have seen bus drivers put the yellows on and keep them on till all nearby cars have passed, which is very considerate of them. Oh, and another anecdote: At least once I saw a driver stop for a stopped school bus that didn't have any flashing lights running at all, and of course the stop arm was not out. Just some of my experiences.
How do you not see a huge yellow school bus with red flashing lights? If you can't see a huge yellow school bus with red flashing lights then you shouldn't be driving. The bus driver puts their yellow lights on 150 ft prior to the stop so there is no excuse for not stopping
The driver did not look until it was too late probably doing something illegal like cell phone use. Stupid stupid stupid. When they pull the car over someone needs to ask if it was your child that almost got hit what would you do or if you didn',y and hit your child what would be your stupid excuse know.
It’s funny how most commenters on videos about school bus traffic safety support strict enforcement while most commenters on other traffic safety enforcement videos just gripe about how the police are supposedly just “grabbing revenue” when they write tickets. All traffic safety rules need to be strictly enforced.
So there is a guy driving his car and he saw the bus stopped and he said he didn't have enough time to stop are you kidding me so this guy is saying what he is doing with more important than stopping for a school bus no it's not it takes a few seconds or a few minutes to stop for school bus it didn't take three hours for a school bus to drop off kids in one stop so wait at least takes a you seconds for school buses to drop your students just a few seconds come on dude what's your problem thinking oh I don't have enough time to stop for a school bus yeah yes you do what you're doing might be important but stopping for school bus it's more important than what you're trying to do come on guys all the people who don't stop for school bus it's illegal and dangerous it's also like a traffic light on a traffic light yellow means cautious slow down red means stop do not pass however a bus does not have green lights then you can go if the red lights in the yellow lights are not flashing then you can pass the school bus but if those two lights are flashing slow down use caution stop come on it's not that hard
Ahman Millener the problem is that they costs a fortune for the company to buy an official cam. I use my own but it isn't "official" so all i can do is bring it to the station and hope that they validate it enough to do something. It sucks and it is very frustrating. I get at least one person passing a day on my route :(
@@JessWoods2245 Yes, but they'd recoup the costs in a DAY! No disrespect meant to you when I say this, but I hear this point being made all the time that it'd cost a fortune, yet people seem to forget that the entire point of installing a license plate cam (more specific than a typical dashcam) on a school bus in the first place is to send tickets with big fines to violators. In CA, the fine for passing a school bus with its stop arm out is *$1,000*! They could probably _literally_ recover those costs in a day! xD
Even people walk also have to stop even bicycles have to stop even at four way stop you have to stop and you see a bus turn don’t pull up to the stop sign because they do need space to turn. I live in Indiana?
@@hankbridges5055 Bus drivers are smarter than that, and they remove the key from the ignition. Plus in this case there may well be an aide to help out on the bus.
I got a solution for all School bus and United States install on the bus video cameras to detect the driver and a plate and for each citation thousand dollar and if you're the driver don't have $1,000 for the ticket it will be 3 months driver license suspended the vehicle be towed and three points on the record in the money will be shared between the police station and the school done deal
I find that hard to believe. School bus drivers are held to a higher standard of driving than most, and many jurisdictions have GPS on school buses to monitor drivers habits AND speed. If you actually witnessed either of the allegations you posted, you should have reported them immediately!
This is solved by a 60 day impound and the 2nd offense loses their license. Just like a cell
She even puts her hazards on while decelerating, that should give plenty warning.
It's the safety of children that's so important. (Other family members are included, of course.) Blowing that stop sign from the bus is a major error.
Why would youtube turn off comments on many videos of this same current situation?
Add a 30 day impound of the vehicle.

Stopping for busses is so annoying
People can spot children selling lemonade and stop to call the cops but can't stop for
if you can stop at a stop sign on the road then you can obey a stop sign on a bus
If you pull this stunt with a school bus in Virginia, it's a reckless driving charge.
Ooooh scary. A misdemeanor !!!!
Take their license and see things change
@Troy Stewart there are insurance consequences with that, just one and your insurance goes up, and so on
What would happened if we get rib of the cars that we wouldn't have this type of problems in usa at all...

How do you not see a huge ass yellow school bus? They put their yellow lights on 150 ft prior to the stop so there is no reason not to stop
Make drivers lose their car for a week the first time. Next time, they lose their car PERMANENTLY!
I've messed up my ex truck making him stop for a bus arm by flipping his gears in reverse then slammed on his e break he never ran an arm again
How can you claim ignorance of the school bus laws if you have a driver's license. You went threw drivers ed. And took the exam. It's on the test in all 50 states.
Have automatic spike strips deploy from the bus when the arm is out !!
10 tickets in TWO years? Bus driver sees it happen 3-4x a week? Math isn’t adding up here.
I see it happen 3-4 times a day.

School bus drives. DASH CAMS! They are your friend. You catches would double, maybe even triple!

My schools solution was that the bus driver got off the bus and physically held a stop sign.

my friend almost got hit when my bus has its lights out the number
Everything Gamer103 I had gotten hit by a car before
Add flashing blue light with the red one
I guess that would get them to stop, but it'd make it look like a police bus(prisoner transport bus)(and thus look like an emergency vehicle.)

Well school busses are just as bad as drivers anyway. school busses blow signs and lights speed down a road.

So you're just mad you ran 12 school bus stops and got a $35,000 fine.
