One of the most ridiculous and outrageous quotation in whole my life was Sharps Wardrobe in Newcastle upon Tyne for 4 doors wardrobe £ 7560 but the man said we give you a 50% discount as well as £150 off for the Welcome to Sharps Wardrobes Package. I don’t know how that man could say anything like that looking to my eyes and think that I was born yesterday, I asked Hammonds wardrobes and they came and did the survey, their quotation was reasonable for the same wardrobe £ 2120 now I am just waiting for instalation in a few days time.
A two day fit in the real world ? absolutely no chance.. he looked like he hardly cut or scribed anything and had virtually no tools...dont be fooled by this exercise in a studio which is perfectly square and ready to take the wardrobe..
spoiler allert he didnt i work in the place that makes this stuff and yes its flat pack we put together all the panels shelves doors and everything they need to build this including drilling holes now ..... that being said this isnt your typical ikea one size fits all flat pack furniture the desighner takes meticulous measurements of the room and custom fits everything to fit the space perfectly this then goes onto the production facility who then pass the job order onto a sawmen who will cut all the panels custom to that job whilst this happens your doors will be custom made to fit including any special angle doors meanwhile your frame is being sent onto edge banding and packing where any hardware or accesory kits like vanitys get added to the pallet finally its packeged together and the flat pack kit gets sent off to a installer who does just that he installs it not flatpack no expensive yes high quality reasonably so i would say custom oh absolutley ive seen doors be ordered with stupid tollerances like requesting 1999mm when 2000 would have done just fine and other things where you could standerdize or round out the sizes for simplicity but they dont
Anyone that you know who needs wardrobe go with Hammonds you get great service better material quality and you can chose to hqve full carcass witch i will recomend full carcas so you dont need to deal with wall dust or future decoration. Sharps charge few grand more but its just front frame its bs.

I suppose you would go to a Mercedes garage and expect to pay the same price as a Skoda, sharp and Hammond are like chalk and cheese.

Full carcass is awful if you want to maximise space.
What does full carcass mean?
You lose 5mm max which is nothing @
Sally- means you get box wardrobe no walls exposed.
