Every new bike needs this service before it's ridden!!! They ship them without sufficient grease and overtightened. Most shops don't bother to even adjust them properly.
I feel like it might be important to track where the axel is before working on the hub, you could move your wheel too far to the left or right, making the handling worse and ruining your chain line.
Don’t undo the locknut and cone on one side. Put it back together with the same orientation as when you took it apart, and the spacing will be the same.
Only undo the non drive side. And you should have about 5mm extend past the lock nut( for a QR axle). The only way you could ruin the chain line would be to mix up your spacers
Try firs tighten the side (cone and nut) with the longer spacing, once mounted it will be underneth the kazette/freewheel and trhen the non drive side finding/feeling the proper tension on the bearing
Wo kann ich passende konen bestellen? Bei ebay habe ich welche mit metalldichtung bekommen die nicht passen, andere habe ich nicht gefunden. Fahrradhändler hatte mich letzt direkt wieder raus geschickt als ich mit einer Kleinigkeit kam (zu beschäftigt)...
Die metalldichtung kann man entfernen, dann sollte es passen. CNC bike hat manchmal welche im Angebot als set mit achse & Kugeln, die sind für shimano, sollten aber auch hier passen.
@@Jacksparrow4986 brauchst unbedingt Konus Schlüssel, die sind deutlich dünner als normale Maul Schlüssel, ohne ist echt mies. Schau am besten, ob es in deiner Gegend eine fahrradselbsthilfewerkstatt gibt. Die meisten größeren Städte haben eine! Ansonsten findest du auf UA-cam genug Anleitungen dazu :)
@@Jacksparrow4986 ich lege den Konus meistens einfach do in Schraubstock, dass die Dichtung aufliegt und klopfe leicht mit Hammer gegen. Wenn es kein vollintegrierter metallflansch wie an alten DDR Rädern ist, sondern nur so ein aufgesteckter Metallring geht das super.

I'm No mechanic, but have built a few of my own bikes just wondering if it would have been best to take off that brake rotor? To avoid contamination.

Bro, you need to gently finesse that inner seal out. NEVER aggressively rip it out with the screwdriver like that!!! 😎

Except the problem is usually that the cups are pitted.
Never take them lower seals out of the Hub, they buckle up and then never go back in properly

Never re-use hub bearing balls. Throw them away and put in new ones.

В Москве не такие богатые люди, чтобы полотенцем смазку вытирать. Мы русские используем бумажные салфетки или туалетную бумагу.

Полотенце можно потом постирать,выходит даже дешевле.
