- Опубліковано 7 вер 2022
- The Jetson ONE flies effortlessly over our 800-meter airstrip at our new R&D and limited production facility in Arezzo, Tuscany. The airport will also be home to a client experience centre and pilot school. We will welcome guests with an assigned chassis number to test-fly the Jetson ONE in April 2023.
We are proud and humbled to say our great news continues. We have secured a +$8M investment and look to secure $10M in the coming month.
The lead investors in the $10M seed round are global tech icons. Luca Spada, Nik Robinson and Rikard Steiber. They all share a passion for flight and are pioneers in their respective fields.
With this investment, we will continue to invest in R&D, recruitment and mass production and will be opening operations in the US in 2023. Jetson ONE is the perfect EVTOL for the US market and is built to comply with existing FAA regulations.
Please share and subscribe. With your support the future of personal aviation begins now!

I would love to hear it fly instead of listening to the music drowning out the motors
It sounds like fvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
In every video they obfuscate the sound, probably because you could work out that the off-the-shelf motors and propellers are absolutely maxed out, and are only borderline capable of maneuvering with weight of a person onboard
@@thatyoudliketoknow1628 More like Rehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, lol
Well, it doesn’t actually make the Jetson flying briefcase sound anyway. So… disappointed.
It flies a maximum of 40 ft off the ground
The Jetson ONE is the most exciting aircraft I've ever seen! I've been a pilot for over 40 years and an Airline Pilot for more than 30 years; if I could fly only one more aircraft before I die, it would be this.
What did you fly during your career?
No doubt some people will fly this aircraft immediately before they die..
It’s just an enlarged drone with a seat
Unless you have flown a Harrier or F/A-18E, F-16, A-10 or SR-71 you are setting your bucket list pretty low. But to each their own.
My bet is this: If there was an A-10 fully fueled on the ramp and this multirotor on the ramp and you were cleared through and into a MOA, low level route or gun range outside of Tuscon(Davis Mothan AFB), my bet is, unless one flew attack/CAS fighter-bombers, almost every swinging dick that still has some lead in their pencil would jump into the Warthog.
Now maybe you have flown fast-movers or the like and this may be a bucket list deal.
@@johnbasiglone1219 You want the A-10 for the love of the kill while he wants the Jetson for the love of the thrill.
Superb achievement. Congrats to every people involved in that project. Really!
I see this as the future of ATV's but UAV's and having licenses to fly. I totally can see it within 5 years! So cool!
Can we just take a breath and enjoy the beauty of this machine, and the intestinal fortitude of the pilot? Every negative comment here was likely also said in some way about the Wright Flyer, the Model T Ford, Apollo 11, electrc blenders and electricity. They're all probably correct, but.... your point? DaVinci would love this. My hat's off to the pilot, and Bravo to Jetson One! Now, must revise letter to Santa Claus. 🎅
All those things you mention were ground breaking new inventions, this is just a big quadcopter. It’s cool i guess but it’ll only ever fly on private property, so don’t really see the point to it.
AGREED.
@@Yosser70 pretty sure because this has a pilot it falls under FAA ultralight regulations not drone regulations. I don't think there's any regs stating private property only.
@@Yosser70 as far as the rest of it. The 20min flight time is a battery limitation not a limitation of the airframe. If someone cracks the battery problem this thing could be really impressive
@@orange3203My point was that it’s not really that innovative, regardless of regulations, it’s just using existing technology and upscaling it. If it does come under the FAA, you’ll need a pilots licence, which further reduces their use.
I love that this is actually flying around and not just parked showing images.
I estimate it will fly for about 1 minute on a full charge.

Get a Quicksilver MX like this quad did. No legs required.
This will never be used for travel in a residential or business area. It's an expensive toy to be used over open terrain with no other toys in the same space. The person referring to a Quicksilver MX is talking about Ford car discontinued in 2019 but still out on the road that has options like thumb pedals on the steering wheel for gas and brake that also is wheel chair accessible for the driver. There are other model cars that do this as well. Much cheaper than the toy in the video.

@@Nio-Neo Great for you. I fully understand because I'm a C5, C6 Quadriplegic myself. After my injury I finished my engineering, served my time for my AME license. Got a job as a civil aviation safety inspector. Started flying ultralights and worked my way up to owning my own Skymaster 337. I can imagine you can do anything, like I have. Some times we have to be creative and think outside the box. There a lots of aircraft that are compatible for people with physical limitations. Maybe these large drone like craft are the way but, right now they are not proven. Just a concept. Take a lesson in a MX. I've taught paras to fly them with no special requirements or modifications. Total freedom and independence and that is important to folks like us. 👍
Amazing work, a beautiful piece of craftsmanship mixed with a young boys dream.
I would never be able to afford that, but I've been watching for 2 years. If you ever need a test pilot in the US I would be gracious enough to do it simply because I believe in your technology and I know that you got a great product. The ability to travel that much faster outweighs the risk of accident. And those that can drive/fly properly will be less likely to encounter issues just like with driving. Out of all the new personal flying recreational machines, the Jetson has definitely proved it self my absolute favorite. Plus I’m sure it’d make the local papers!! Jetson, if you’re out there, Santa has my list. Thanks!!!
You can't legally fly in B airspace around Manhattan in this Ultra Light vehicle. And FAA fines are very hefty, tens of thousands easily for violating very congested airspace
@@maximlg253 Is it because it's an "Ultra Light Vehicle"? I know helicopters are allowed to fly around Manhattan, do you think the Jetson One could get the same type of permit as a helicopter? I'm just curious.
@@craigchatterton4164 The whole point of ultralight classification is that ultralight pilots don't need to have real pilot's license. Anyone can fly ultralight. Flying cars have been around since 1947.

I think propeller guards is needed. We need cinewhoop version :). now it looks ohhhh very dangerous with this huge props. dangerous for outside things and for pilot.
Agreed, these fanatics are drinking their own koolaid bigtime, I don't want to wish doom on them but the passive safety for the pilot is for a race car not an aircraft. It's like they have no idea what height and gravity can do. Stupid is often mistaken for brave.
Ive gotta admit I am concerned about the way those props are positioned and where they would go if the prop clipped something solid and shattered. On a paramotor when prop strikes happen (which happens all the time) the shards spray randomly in a vertical circle behind the pilot, sometimes hitting the paraglider above but not hitting the pilot himself.
yeah I don't understand the lack of guards
Yes, ducted props with some kind of grill protecting the top.
@@WarmProp I heard they originally had them but there was oscillation/vibration issues. Could also be a weight thing too. I imagine they will revisit the guards with time. I do believe this single seat quad format has a future but like electric PPG its held back by battery density. We all fly 2 stroke PPG (4hr+)and would switch to elec if they can just offer 1or 2hr + flight times but until then ICE engines are the way to go.
Can’t wait to get one!!!
Awesome video! Thanks!
Its a great toy that I'd definitely fly. The problem is that companies like this think they are trying to solve an urban flying transport system problem. Thats misguided because product liability, airspace constraints, tricky weather conditions and the fundamental problem of battery energy density. Batteries will never suddenly get 10x capacity and flying with rotors is very inefficient if you have a wing its 3x more efficient but even then its not viable. So I'd concentrate on making it an extreme sport toy first and then go from there.

These will really benefit from vortex propeller innovation.
Excellent craft but it definitely needs a cage around each of those propeller sections.
I can see your aspect for safety, but that would impede the lift needed for flight by restricting airflow. The same reason there are no safety cages around helicopter blades. Unless it was a ring around the outer portion, such as a kort nozzle around a boat prop.
This is awesome. I do wonder what the limits are to reducing the noise level. And also, as watts/Kg continues to rise, how will range be improved.
Look at helicopters or propeller planes. I think there's not much room to decrease noise without decreasing also the flow rate. The physical limits of fans/ propellers/ pumps are already pretty well researched. Propeller planes or drones are using their propeller designs for good reason.
Displacing the air is what creates the noise.

People can hardly drive on the road much less flying these things around. The fatality rate would skyrocket! They'd have to implement some sort of safety device so that if you were approaching ANY object while in the air, the craft would automatically stay at least 5 feet from it. For example, if you tried your hardest to fly into a tree, the terrain warning system would not allow you to do so. If manufacturers like Boeing wanted to create something like this, they could do wonders with it. It would cost $1M or more though....

Celebrate with me, Mr Richard has done a wonderful job in my life. I have received my payment this evening. His company is so good for investment, i don't even care much about bullish or bearish market anymore because Richard got me cover as I am comfortably making 1.5B T C monthly...

The future is ours to create, nice video.
Wow.That's awesome!
If there's one thing I would say that is needed, if only for the general public's peace-of-mind, it is light-weight (perforated?) propeller guards of some kind. They would protect against accidental damage to the propellers on landing as well as add an obvious safety margin for the pilot. I'd love to fly this one day soon!
I’m in the us, would I need a license to fly one or is it like the paramotors and don’t need any license?
The FAA is going to come out down on this like 10 tons of bricks.
If a drone the size of a football needs a license in today's world I will assume that this will certainly need one.
@EVOVIISWE If it stays that way after these become commercially available I will be very surprised. I hope I’m wrong though.
Absolutely breathtaking heartwarming real cutie pie time music
Ohhh geez. I really need one of these.
Can’t wait for the hobby channels to build stuff like this
