Chris P Bacon I just discovered them a couple months ago. Everything about them is prime. My mind is blown over how deep they are lyrically (I see multiple meanings in this song). Sooo amazing ❤
They have some songs that are good and some that are fantastic.
I haven't really seen one that's bad yet. Which is rare.
I've never been very into hard/grind/deathcore style metal, but I'm having a serious appetite for this.
They may just be the band that wedded growl/scream and melodic in such a perfect way their music might even end up on radio sometimes.

You took the words right out of my mouth, except that I was already a fan of this band because my neighbor loves them & she introduced me. Lol
What's unique is how good her clean vocals are too. and it's often lost how great the musicians in this band are since everyone is amazed at her vocal talents, rightly so. Do I Speak Astronomy next, as others have suggested, but must see the official video.

There are plenty of really talented women in metal, can afford to be choosy in who gets support.
I love Frantic Amber, as a fantastic example. Elizabeth Andrews has a great voice. As does Skurmring from Malsain.

Saw them in a tiny bar in Seattle on Thursday. Fucking epic. Got to meet them and there were super cool. Eugene, the bassist was really friendly and talked with us for a while.

Very similar but simultaneously the exact opposite as it represents two identical beings as one whole instead of the whole represented by two separate and polar opposite entities.
They do have quite a few things in common tho.

VinAnd Sori I am glad you guys watched the video instead of a studio version. I have found a new drummer who uses 2 ride cymbals. Whoever the drummer is can use right or left hand to lead in his rhythms. That style of drumming is a whole other level in complexity. I use my left hand to lead although I am a natural right hand lead. That style of drumming is referred to as "open handed drumming". Most drummers are chickens when it comes to ambidexterity. It is always a never ending journey just like life. I am glad I have a new drummer to study. He has incredible control. I get the feeling he is very versatile in his style. Keep up the awesome work.

I love Jinjer, tatiana has such a great voice. Next Jinjer song you should react to is I Speak Astronomy. It seems to the unanimous choice for further introduction into Jinjer's sound.

ok, most videos stop after the song, this is the first time I've seen someone go over the lyrics. And you do a great job in my opinion in analyzing it!
she does the same vocals on live concerts. This video is in studio, you can hear background voice of her on play-back, but alive she doesn't use it and still makes smooth and growl voices.

To me it's a fatalistic look at naivety in relationships. The Pisces in the song is actually LOOKING for the hook just to see the sun momentarily even though what happens after only leads to great pain. I just thought that last verse was really poetic if a bit grim.
I think this video interprets it quite well. It sounds like she is consistently seeking some attachment figure (which we had discovered through interpretation in this video that she lost her father so it makes sense) that will love her unconditionally but she consistently finds herself in relationships that destroy the innocence of her and her beauty as a person (the emeralds). Yet, the allure of what she desires from an attachment figure lures her in (I see this as a cycle).

I think we get so caught up in the surprise that we miss how good the musicians are. That drumming! And the bass and guitar are phenomenal.
The song Pisces was actually co-written lyrically by Tatiana and one of the other band members (I believe Eugene) there's an interview talking to them about the album. Under the question "What is your favorite song on the album?" there's a bit about the song.

Great reaction to Jinjer. Watch the Retrospective video. The song is a tribute to their parents and everything they sacrificed for each and everyone of the band members. They came from very loving families.

He does come up with some good ones. It's strange that things like morals, principals, laws, beleifs will change from person to person, area to area and culture to culture but basic right and wrong is pretty universal. That story from the bible is a great example of that

Yeah Tatiana is amazing. My favorite Jinjer Tracks are "I Speak Astronomy" for vocals and "Under the Dome" for the brutal Music.
She has also said in an interview about how she bares her soul in the lyrics. Some people overlook it and don't even know what she's saying and it frustrates her.

oh absolutely. haven't seen channels really dig into the lyrics before. usually just analyze the music and talk about her voice for a bit and how they'd love to see them live. just casting aside the lyrics. great stuff!

The song is about the fact that there's two side of a same personality.
Its represented by the two different tone of singing, the clean vocals are the soft, shy and non combative side of a personality.
The Growls is the aggresive, overbearing and unyielding personality.
After everything you have to admit, she has a beautiful and talented voice.
Saw Jinjer last month opening for Cradle of Filth. I do believe half or over half of the crowd was there for Jinjer. They were awesome. Met them after the show. Tatiana was amazing, a true rock star.

" I speak astronomy" is a song that shows off her vocal range. If you want a good headbanging video check out " Just Another". There is also a good live video for the song "Outlander" which is a more groove orientated song

Ahahahaha, holy cow. I had recently been thinking about suggesting you guys react to this very video even though it's one that damn near every reaction channel does. I haven't yet worked my way through all the videos you had done before I stumbled upon your channel and this is the first thing that popped up when I hopped on youtube after getting home from work. This is the perfect birthday gift! Your faces at the first chorus were GOLD! I really, really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the song and how intricate it really is.
Jinjer are absolutely amazing. Every single member is a genius at their trade. If you haven't already, I highly recommend listening to all of King of Everything. Tatiana's lyricism is utterly incredible all throughout that album and her range is just mindblowing. I am not ashamed to say that I totally have a metal crush on her haha! They all seem like really super chill people in the few interviews I've watched. And now I'm practically drooling at the thought of you guys getting the chance to interview them! Who do I need to throw money at to make that happen? ;)

God! Finally someone who gets this song. I have seen other reactions and reviews to this song and some of the people couldn t even figure out the fish symbolism or the duality. They didn t have a clue what it s about and they were just brushing they lyrics off like: meh, ehatever, cool growling voice.
