John never fails to hit the mark in these types of interviews. His frankness is refreshing.

John Oliver is such a witty/brilliant/quick thinking guy. Seems like a coolguy in general.
I saw him riff for five minutes on stage at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center about the Big Chicken in Atlanta, completely off the cuff, and it was the funniest thing I've ever experienced in person. He was asking people in the audience about what is Atlanta's 'weird kitschy landmark' and he heard "Big Chicken" from the crowd, pulled out his phone, did a quick google and said, "Oh, holy fuck, Atlanta." Hilarity ensued.

The coolest thing about John Olly is that he elevates everyone else around him in the bit. Jimmy Fally actually gets funnier in proximity to him.

He’s on one of few TV shows that doesn’t have outside sponsors so he hasn’t had to train himself in censorship the same way hosts like jimmy Fallon has
