I love how you love your dogs. Says alot about your personality.
Yeah I think those evaporator coils come with an adjustable txv, they don't set the superheat right at the manufacturer, that's why you had low subcooling and low superheat. What I do is to turn the stem clockwise to get the superheat right and then usually the subcooling will get normal levels too.
Thanks for the info!
or the sense bulb needs moved, I didn't catch where it was on the new unit.
I like how your bringing daniel up Mike keep it up love the content
Nice supervising Mikey, good work brothers!
Thanks 👍
Mike, @ 13:58 did you mean "if you spend more than you make" ? Getting it done.
Real service tech doc, we don’t have time to come to complete stops either.
Facts
Very clean work.
Thank you!
Mike trust me. Order a VIM VHC77 kit. It's a half height bit kit for tight spaces. It's the best one out there and has all the bits. It's a lifesaver.
I ❤ that extremely unusual ratcheting screwdriver that would be really sweet and tight blind areas!!! The Boys did a nice job!! An of course the Boss did good “”1”” handed😂😂
if they did the left one first, they could have had them facing the same way, but I guess service would have been impossible in the future,. so good call by the boys
They are facing the same way.
@14:43 LMAO As the only Asian in a HVAC company, I got that joke from time to time~~Well again Mikey made my day, and from the bottom of a Chinese fan heart hope this comment finds you guys all safe and doing well💯💯
Mikey, my cousin is on a fixed income and is suffering with a grossly undersized system that another contractor stuck her with about 10 years ago. She lives in a 3rd floor condo and the AC doesn't keep up on 90 degree days in Maryland. Also, she has very expensive resistance heating. Can your non-profit help her here in Maryland or is that out of your range of service?
what brand of filter driers do you use ? I have only used sporlan or emerson...cant tell what brand those are
No issues with properly installed Goodmans
Fingers crossed 🤞
I sell Amana / Daikin and several other brands. I play no favorites and we can buy an Amana model matching a Goodman model for the same price. Goodman in fact has some quite nice higher end model numbers to match. It is all in what you bought, quoted and installed. Install being the most important. Goodman is also one of the most sold brands in the States as you know. They even recently upgraded their warranty to match the Amana line. So, I haven't installed a Goodman in quite a while with Amana for the same price, just buy changing the G to an A in the part number, but CoolCloud and using Copeland Scroll compressors has changed everything. It just gets a bad reputation because of hacks out there and I know your guys are certainly not that. So I bet the finished product looks and runs amazing.
You are exactly right, goodman are very good units, all about the install. Most guys don't like goodman because they sell to the public. That's the only reason they bash them.
@@MrJujubean Definitely about install and yearly maintenance to keep it clean. The distributors here won’t sell to the public but all the websites do. But Goodman being the most sold brand will also have more issues by percentage especially with a poor install and maintenance. But with Daikin technology in them, or regular units, they can last for a very long time. I can buy the Amana models for the same price and sell lots of the S-series side discharge units. But service and repairs many. Easy to keep going!
Mikey was Goodman all their budget allowed ?
Are you going to switch the Goodman badging so they are both facing the same way?
There are several different styles of that tight space driver like the Klein you were using … Milwaukee and DeWalt also have one that goes into your quarter inch impact driver
If only that deck was closer to those outdoor units.
Just a tad
i know my opinion don't matter but i would of put Unistrut cross wise so the units would not be hanging on the edges
I would put end on unistrut vertical a 6 inch pice so it would move it would lock in place against the back wall.I would double up the unistrut horizontal where it sits put the unistrut clamps to AC .You would be surprised how strong those unistrut I work in a building that they had to unistrut in the data closet hanging all the cables electrical cables due to a fire wall which they couldn’t penetrate the walls.
Exactly, this was a hack job.
I was yelling at my screen .. just some selftappers in that unistrut brrr . Here in Europe we use rubber isolation feets for mounting A/C units ..
So the vibrations are not so much passed true the wall/mount .
Seems this was a budget job. 1/3 th of the price explains the selftappers 🙂
@@kittsdiy After seeing the corners that he cuts I would never allow this guy to touch anything of mine. I've seen way too many sketchy things just to save some time.
I was thinking the same thing. One in the front and one in the back with some iso-pad. Such a hack job he did
Talk about a half assed mounting job on those condensing units.
That heat exchanger looks good to me,i see no problem
Good for your house, right?
Absolutely
I had same problem before and I will said is the copper
(Using the same benders)
looked like an overly hard section, if it's supposed to be soft line, then it must not have been annealed well.
What’s the part number for that little Racheting wrench?
klein tools 65200. $16 on amazon or home depot
Mike, you should do a video on your thoughts on the r454 nonsense.
Not an issue with it blowing up on the deck?
You rolled right through that stop sign
STOP. Slightly Tap On Pedal. Stop signs are overrated. Yield signs are plenty sufficient in 99% of cases.
That's how he rolls...
Love it !
Wait what... Mikey Pipes installs Goodman?
I think the other contractors price was the I don't want to do it price.
Just curious why you said Payne is bottom of the barrel. It's made by carrier, so supposed to be brand name. I also had my share of issues with them as well, so i cannot agree more
It’s the cheapest “carrier” what does that tell you?
I do sell Bryant and ICP ION systems and I would never sell a Payne because that and Carrier Sentry are builder grade. Their highest system are two stages with VCT blowers as high as they go. I would sell any other ICP product or Goodman before a Payne. They are truly the bottom basement on those units.
@@PipeDoctor I agree. Only thing I can say is most companies are using same parts, just slapping a different label on the machine
Mike any hats with snap backs? Unfortunately I am not a one size fits all lol
Big or small?
@@PipeDoctor big lol
2:55 Need to stencil the name SAUL above the GOODMAN label.
Ha!
You operating out of a shop or house in Orlando area?
Out of a house on Google
glad you kept christian
Is it standard for people to partner or buy into other business to get into new markets or are you changing the game?
Why not use pyle wood sheet cut to size and unistrut spring nut and bolts to secure it. Just saying.
A thought
diamond-plate 🤣
hard to stop a goodman
Except leaks
Make the trades great again Mikey Pipes. #LoveBosch Smash that like button. Smash it for Gigi's Birthday!!!
why raise them? not enough clearance. place them on the floor and even then its not great..
It’s called a flood zone your waterfront there buddy use your noggin please before commenting. Thanks.
@@PipeDoctor i was thinking that would be the only reason, glad i asked. thanks for explaining
Boy you don’t stop at stop signs in New Jersey.
No
I've heard all kind of negative regarding Goodman units - but the thing is, AC condensers 'generally' are pretty simple. Essentially, coil, compressor, fan, contactor and capacitor (some, like the Bosch IDS are a 'tad' more complicated). And the compressor, which is the heart of it, is the same one used by other manufacturers. It's like car batteries. how many 'brands' are out there? Napa. WalMart. Autozone. Duracell. Orielleys. And I'm sure a bunch that I'm not thinking of. But there are only three or four (if that) actual manufacturers of automotive batteries, which are then labeled and sold as other brands. AC components are largely the same. The reason Goodman tends to get a bad rap is ANYONE can buy them, including morons that don't have the slightest clue. So when morons that don't know that you need to purge it, vacuum it down, etc and just slap it in, open the valves and go, it may 'work' for a while, but it won't be great, and it'll eventually end up having issues. It's not really Goodmans fault, it's the moron that installed it. but it still ends up a black mark on Goodman.
That’s right my guy. I always tell people to get a Goodman. I think Trane is like a Kleenex brand
Goodman? NO Good, Man.
lol 😆

Can’t stop a goodman unlike a trane.
Can't start a Goodman either. :)
@@scotts4125can’t start a Trane either. Brand don’t matter installation quality does.
how many guys does it take to set a condenser.... lmfao rookies
