In the wild you'd be surprised at how skinny some T's abdomens can be. I'm not saying imitate this in your home but when the abdomen looks like a ping pong ball....Cut back XD.

It really depends if the tarantulas are active hunters or are ambushers. Stalkers love large spaces, but I believe many of the species he showed are all ambushers. They just hide in a cramped area and wait for anything to come by.
