- The "GONE WRONG" part was supposed to be at 6:59 when the tarantula freaked out a bit. This freaked me out while filming, even though it wasn't anything serious, but you aren't able to feel what I felt at that point by just watching the video so I apolagize for that. ALSO, I got a shipment of 11 tarantulas in a couple days before I filmed this video so thats why I say I got this tarantula "a couple of days ago" so many times but I've owned 108 tarantulas in total and I just recently sold most of them so I had to get more.

UPDATE: Please don't let this be the only video you see of mine. I have MUCH better videos on my channel and I am very sorry for tapping so hard on the enclosures during this video, as the years have gone by since this video, I can assure you I don't tap on the spiders cages anymore. I don't even remember tapping them during the filming of this video. I was doing it subconsciously! Give my channel a chance! :)

Yeah haha the most tarantulas I had was 108 but then I sold everything and only kept 20 of them. And then I bought 11 more off my friend and I was so excited that I made this video of my feeding them all haha

I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually kind of starting to become less afraid of spiders after watching videos like this. Learning more about somehow helps me to be less afraid of them.

While I do have a big fear of spiders(in this case, Tarantulas) if I see them in real life, I will freak out and do whatever it takes to kill it (get someone else to do it for me).
I haven't seen a lot of tarantulas though. Either way, I think it would rather be interesting for a wild spider to get use to being fed by a human. Eventually becoming aware that you're like a friend and doesn't want to escape. Of course that seems terrifying and probably will not happen, but it's an interesting concept that popped in my head while I clicked this video from a recommendations.
It's pretty interesting to see you feed them.
I think you should try and conquer your fear of spiders! You should start by feeding wild spiders! Check out my Backyard Bugs Episode 1 for more info on that! :)
tomaspasie Well time is one issue for me.
I've always admired spider powers(that's really why sometimes I search up spiders) but if I see a spider myself, it's a different story. Kind of like animals such as lions from the zoo. See it in video, looks cool. See one in real life face to face, different story.
While I do think it is a good idea to conquer my fear of spiders, it's not a top priority.
True, but maybe just have it in mind! The next time you come across a spider, this is what you can do. If its on a web, try and find a smaller bug or moth and simply drop it on the web. If the spider is walking around (not on a web) try and capture it in a cup (I understand this may be intimidating for some), leave it alone for a while so that it calms down and then drop a small bug or moth near it and just observe how it eats and them just simply let it go on its way :)

I'm more of a millipede and tailless whip scorpion person myself but really love looking at the critters other people keep. They're so pretty.

All spiders are venomous, it's just that even the most venomous tarantulas are like a bee sting. The fangs hurt more than the venom

what tarantula do you love? what tarantula would be a good spider for a starter? is it venomous or not?
All tarantulas are venomous. Some species (a lot of New Worlds for example) have bites comparable to a bee sting, whilst arboreals and Old Worlds can pack more of a punch. That is just a general comparison with exceptions.
For beginner species, B albopilosum is a great choice, don't tend to kick too much and aren't aggressive/defensive/skittish. Euathlus sp red and yellow (adult, not spiderlings) are a good choice too. G pulchripes can be a good one, B smithi, but I would stay away from G roseas as they have a bad habit of fasting a lot and stressing newbies out! :)
