- What is the first thing you look at when you get a new tank? Probably its main armament. There are long-barrel and short-barreled guns, of all sorts of calibers, as well as howitzers and whatnot. With that many different big guns it’s easy to forget about secondary armaments -- and that’s a shame, because machine guns, autocannons and rockets often prove to be invaluable assets… sometimes even more dangerous than all those howitzers. Today we’ll be talking about vehicles with the very best secondaries out there!

I prefer the Leopard 2K with it's 20mm Rheinmetall cannon
Helicopters don't really like it
Same for me, but with the KPz-70s RH202, same gun, but with more elevation, and its at 9.3, not 9.7, meaning I dont have to face top tier tanks
Maus has a secondary gun, it was cool. Spent years grinding the German tree for the maus, never got to use it.

M6A1 secondary 37mm gun and a bunch of 50.cals really come in handy
and the chi-ri-2 has a nice hull mounted 47mm
First time using the M6A1 my 76mm was killed by an ASU-57. He had no fun when a 37mm and 3x .50cals came his direction.

My favorite secondary is the ammunition rack exploding and killing the friendly next to me.

that one has the best impact on the game as if you leave the game after dying that way, crew lock kicks in even if that was your last respawn

How in the world did they forget the Calliope, I was wondering. I've pounded several tanks to oblivion within seconds with the Calliope. For my money, easily the best "secondary" armament, if you want to call it that. To me, the main gun is the secondary armament.

E-100 is an event vehicle added a while ago before the maus ceased to exist on this dimensional plane.

My Story with the M3 Lee
I was playing on Ash River and I was at C point, for some reason till now no one attacked Charlie, only Alpha and Bravo, so I saw it as Free EXP so I went there alone, just letting a little message out that C is in captured, I was behind a rock just chilling there, until in 3rd person view I saw a group of enemies, I panicked and asked for help on the chat but no one replied, I though this was gonna be it so I just stayed there and prepared for the worse, I had my 75mm at one side and my 37 at my rear, so I had my flanks covered, a T-34 got in front of my 75 instantly going down in the first shot, I had a Italian Armored Car at my rear, but my 37mm was just enough to take it down in 1-2 shots
I was expecting more enemies, when I looked up at their spawn I saw a few waiting there for the right moment to shoot, but I didn't budge, I stayed there and stayed till backup came.
A few minutes later they unleashed a Artillery barrage, my Tank was fine but my L Track was destroyed and a few internals were severly damaged but I was mostly okay, after that, had a few Aircraft shoot MG's and Cannons, maybe some Rockets, but the fact that I still survived surprised me the most, that's when I knew the Lee was a GOOD Tank
Backup finally came after I went through hell, my Tank was repaired and when I saw them I was honestly so excited I got out of my cover, killed a Panzer Tank and then get killed by another Panzer on a different corner
I honestly didn't get mad because me and my Lee went through hell all alone and survived.
And I am proud of this Battle, still am.

Really? 100? I bought only cobra king with 50% discount. And i will never buy anything in this game. They changing specs, br and ammo penetration after your money spending. F..ck them

And speaking of french tanks, why uptier the loraine ? The amx30 super ? Why ? The amx30 will now fight against japanese Type90 ?! And the loraine, 7.7, 22k repair cost, just because of the 8 4s shells ? Guys really, is it worth the price to play the loraine ? I don’t think so, anyway, many other tanks shouldn’t be uptier(i took french as example because i play frenchi)

the 75mm Howitzer on the Churchill mk1 is really fun to use, especially when you're facing the italian light vehicles, combined with quick-firing 40mm and a thick armor, that thing is basically a moving fortress
I will never forget that time when I shoot down a plane with the secondary machine guns of a really low tech (1,3 BR if I am not mistaken , which probably am) medium German tank.I was gonna just press it for a second ,for fun.
It shredded the plane (fighter or a dive bomber) like flak.I just pressed it maybe more than a second.

I really love the b1 bis at his tier! Huge armour and once you know how to use it, the big gun oneshot all the time!
i find the AMX 30 and 40's 30mm auto cannon to be the best secondary gun in the game. so many 2a5s have fallen to it >:D

The m18, m10, m4 sherman, as well as the m8 (both of them) can carry a 12.7 m2hb that can even go through proper tanks at their br, it's also really fun to shoot down biplane with it !
My highest rank tank is now the T34 mentioned above. I had 3 italian speedy boiz, 1 was comeing forward me, and 1 was to me with it's back. Than a shot my main for something, and while it was reloading, i took down the third one, also with my mgs, with a short burst.
An other time, while my main was reloading, and i was on fire, also and italian came to my back, and i had time to turn my turret, and while it was going i took it down, with my mgs as well.
7:12 right here is the killing of crew by blast from artillery. Just reminder of why we dont still have AI infantry in the game since we could play as heli or tank transport.

Why exactly don’t the 20 on the Leopard 2K and the 7mm on the Tiger II Sla. elevate over 30 degrees anymore? I don’t remember when exactly but some patches ago the leopard’s gun became limited to the 120mm’s elevation when it supposedly can go to 45.

Can we get something similar to the cockpit view on planes and helicopters, but for ships and tank's?
I'm personally partial to the 30mm on the M6A1. The main caliber gun has a tendency to overpenetrate lightly- or non-armored vehicles, so I keep the secondary loaded with HE. It's *very* effective.
You guys should add the ability to choose which belts the AA guns use, for example using Aircraft/AP belt on a Sherman 12.7mm
We need version of the panzer 1 with the panzer 3/4 turret with the ability to call in a V1

I main the RBT-5, many times I kill people by shooting around corners with the rockets. They think they're safe behind cover, but that splash damage is no joke.
The IS-7 usually fights first generation MBTs? What are you talking about? It's above the BR of most second generation MBTs like the Leopard I, M60, and AMX-30. In uptier battles, it even has to face the XM-1, a prototype third generation MBT. It almost never has to deal with Centurions and M47 tanks.

would you say the SMK has a secondary or two primary guns, they are both just as devastating.
Funny how they mention the E-100 even though it's presently unobtainable (currently sold out on the Gaijin Marketplace, the only place it can be found). There is another German super-heavy in the game with the same armament profile though, if they care to acknowledge its existence...
Why i cant use ALL mgs in Panzer 4 ?
close to none of hull mounted machine guns works in the game.
You need to aim in the exact direction where these mgs are looking, than they will fire too :D
The only tanks I can think of that have working hull machine guns are the M2 medium, the M6A1, and the Jagdtiger. Fix it gayjiggles.
チェンMichael But very few out of the hundreds of tanks in game. Not a game breaking issue, but hull mg functionality should be availabe for all tanks with bow guns.

I would like to mention the Amx-30 serie.... These tanks are amongst my best AA....
AMX-30/40 20mm coaxial is kinda better than the MBT/KPZ-70 & Leo 2K roof mounted one
Reason being you're ALWAYS able to use it as it act as coaxial MG and only need the gunner to be operated, as the other vehicle you loose acces to it as you loose crew members due to the commander being its operator
And despite being coaxial thanks to independent elevation system you still can aim +45° upwards with ease, less than the roof mounted one but still well enough to act as AA cannon
Its a trade of target acquisition speed for permanent usability, also it doesn't make you stick out as much as the roof mounted one wich adds a 1m tall conspicuous tower to your tank so bonus point for stealth

Honestly Germany at 8.7 is like the Tiger E at 5.7 that gets uptiered to 6.7 but in my case it's 9.7 that I have to face and sometimes I just login in hope to probably get the 1M SL because I'm not gonna even try and lose more SL

I own an SMK heavy tank and boy does the secondary 45mm turret hurt. I can even get kills without even using the main 76mm gun, I love it!

I GOT ONE QUESTION ABOUT TANKS JUST NEED TO KNOW: how come when I test drive a tank out on the range before I buy it sometimes it takes two or three hits to penetrate or even catch an enemy tank on fire but when I go out in a online game I can move three inches and get destroyed with one hit from miles away🤔 then how come I can take another tank I just bought and on the range its a one hit wonder meaning one shot one kill it can destroy anything in front of it but once I put it in battle it still take two or three shots to kill an enemy tank AND THESE ARE HEAVY TANKS WITH ARMOR ALL AROUND IT. I bought the Macintosh and the Chrysler both for 60bucks a piece because they looked impenetrable i test drove them on the range it did not matter where I hit the enemy tanks it was a one shot one kill, but after I spent my money I couldn't kill a tank with one shot to save my life

The Caliope has one big weakness - Exposed ammo rack held up like a sign at a sporting event.

B1 Bis is the only one I've gotten that I like since I missed the Maus' availability
About a week after I started playing, they removed the Maus and the others. It really was sad, because they were the main reason I started in the first place
That's the whole reason why I started playing too but now its gone and I really have no reason to keep playing. The allure of the biggest of the steel beasts is gone without her, and so what if it isnt realistic having that many Maus', maybe it is just that fun.
I really hope Gaijin realize their mistake. The stupid tank that replaced the Maus on the research tree isnt a good enough replacement for the beautiful Maus.

i have the smk which has 2 guns one 45 mm and one 76 mm gun. The 45 mm gun is good for light tanks while the 76 deals with medium tanks. its soooooo op. why? because u can fire a bombardment of firepower

Hope gaijin brings the old brs back for the M4A1 76, M4A3 76, and T25. There was no reason to uptier these vehicles.
