    Wow, straight haired girl here. I’m so amazed how much time and effort and products curly hair requires. Props to you for sharing and empowering curly hairstyles. I think curly hair is beautiful. Keep up the good work. My girls have curly hair and your videos are so helpful.

    I also noticed a significant difference with the thickening lotion!

    This was such a helpful video, especially to see you style in real time! I find that if my balance of moisture vs protein is off that can also make my curls fall flat (too much moisture). Thanks for the share!

    Hi Gena! Thank you for this video! Lately my curls haven’t been lasting as well and needing a refresh sooner. This was a good reminder of what to do! My husband just bought me the Curlsmith diffuser. I can’t wait for it to arrive! I am thinking that the larger diameter will be a game changer in getting dry before my hair has a chance to move too much.

    Virtue Labs curl line makes your hair 23% thicker and does a bunch of other repairing stuff. My hair has been coming in thicker or denser...i haven't tried the curl stylers because the $$, but the S&C are Worth it ..(some of their other lines are not CG)

    Hey Gena 👋 I just got the tangle teaser brush yesterday on your recommendation. Can't wait to try it and the gel after micro plopping on my next wash day. Thanks for another great video 🥰

    I love your videos Gena, they’ve helped me learn more about hair and taking care of mine specific to my needs. Thank you!
    The Curlsmith products, especially the scalp & strength lines have made such a difference to the health of my hair. I am really struggling to get lasting definition at the crown but that is probably because that section of my head is a much looser pattern than the rest. I was hoping it would curl up more like the rest of my hair after I stopped 30 years of straightening, however I’m trying to embrace what it is and just reduce the fluffiness/frizz going on back there 😂❤

    Hi, do you know why the shine gel 9 & full body thickening lotion is not available online. Have they been discontinued or replaced with a different product?

    Hi Gena! I always learn something new from your videos. I am going to try microplopping and adding additional gel afterwards-something I’ve never tried. Also, I always see you using the Tangle Teaser for brush styling. Do you prefer this over the Denman and the Behairful brush? Thanks!

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  Рік тому +2

      Yes because it seems to cause the least amount of breakage and shedding. The Denman is good too much the Tangle Teezer seems healthier

    Hi Gena! I just have to say how much your hair is curlier, especially the ends, since you are no layering so much of it, just like Marisa's Curls & Jannelle O'Shaughnessy. After a couple of years debating to layer or not to layer, that is the question (just a play on words. Lol), decided not to layer, just light layers on top.

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  Рік тому +2

      Yeah I like to so much more without layers!

    I have short (ear length) hair, would the bonnet you use work for short hair where there would be no hair to put up?

    Beautiful results! I just got the Ouidad strong hold gel and I was wondering which curl cream would be best with it? Have you tried any of the Curlsmith creams with it?

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  Рік тому +1

      No, I haven’t! There are several I like with it such as Bounce Curl clump & Define Cream, Ouidad Take Shape Cream, Design Me Bounce Me Curl a balm

    I have a problem with my hair at night time. I find satin bonnets uncomfortable. I don't like wearing anything on my head at night as it makes my head itchy. I also find putting them on hard as I have long hair and pushing it all in a bonnet , messes it up. If I put it up in a pineapple, the next day when I take out my satin scrunchie, my hair it all stuck together. It tangles very easily. I do use a satin pillowcase . Is there anything else I can try to protect my waves and loose curls ?

    Less is More...the less I do to my hair after washing, the more it curls NATURALLY. I wrap in towel to dry damp, with hair UP to keep scalp curls. Hair clip upwards to not stretch out curls. Let it air dry. When almost dry, I add products to prevent frizz and support natural curls. Why waste time curling NATURAL curls???

    I’ve tried all of these, but I came to realise that I just need a protein treatment

    OMG!!!! This is just way, way, way too much work and far too many products!!!! You must have to have a separate suitcase just to fit all those products in for travel. I love your hair, but there’s GOT to be another way!!

      I'm not sure what you mean. I used 2 main products (cream+ gel) to style. The volumizer is a bonus and not required. I even style with just 1 product, a gel, a lot of the time. Curly hair is going to take effort but it doesn't have to be complicated.
