People who shouldn’t be parents need to stop having unprotected sex. There should be rigid mental testing and evaluation for those who are expecting to make sure they won’t fuck their kid up. Parenting should absolutely not be a god-given right.

I was abuse by a sibling, it started at 6yrs old, and it FUCKED me up! I was lucky, my mom believed me and took action immediately. They went to a week long program, like rehab, and we both went to counseling. But back then in the Midwest the help sucked. One counselor took both us back in the same room and asked me questions in front of the sibling. I didn’t go back. After years of drug abuse, toxic relationships, and self hate, I’m in a much better place now. My husband has helped me so much. Made me realize a lot of things about a lot of different situations that I had no control over. I have 3 beautiful girls and I watch over them like a hawk if we’re around this person. Cuz even tho he hasn’t done anything to anyone else I still dont trust them. If you’re child comes to you and tells you there’s abuse going on, listen! Most kids dont lie about that shit

I find these videos very healing for me. I suffered from emotional, mental, and sexual abuse from the ages of 6 to 8. I didn't speak about these things until I was in my 20s. Long story short, the people who committed these things against me can no longer be held accountable. Because of this I found myself being full of anger and rage, wanting to commit harm against any sexual predator out there. But watching these videos makes me realize that a lot of these people were them themselves abused, and they're just continuing the cycle because of their trauma. I'm not saying this gives them a pass or that their actions shoul be excused, just that for me this helps me put things in better perspective, and that I can have empathy for them. I have to disagree with you. There is no excusing profiles ,predators, rapists etc etc. They groom which is premeditated. They're only concern is their own self gratification and therefore they are selfish and could care less about who they hurt or destroy. NO EXCUSES can be made for selfish desires self gratification. They know it's wrong yet place their sick desires first. Can't blame drugs or alcohol..I'm not buying those as excuses either. This guy talks a great talk. This channel is a step towards solutions, instead of making the issue taboo to talk about. More important than what people do, is WHY they do it. If you dont care about the why then you will never really understand or learn anything. Why do evil people do what they do? There has to be reasons right? If they don’t care about other humans or they hate humans…well…why? Let’s figure out why, thischannel seems to be about figuring out the why. This gets us closer to better understanding and solutions. If all we do is kill or silence preadators, we will never be able to find ways to prevent more of them and our understanding will stay primitive.

I was the special ed services coordinator for a foster care agency. I would estimate that 85% of the children I worked with were the admitted victims of molestations. When I hear people feeling sorry for pedos and thinkng its amazing how they've changed, I feel sick to my stomach at the thought they might be responsible for protecting some child. The one thing everyone needs to factor in assessing these situations is pedophillic grooming. Abusers first hunt for vulnerable children. They target children who are poor, neglected, have low self-esteem, are rejected by their peers, are soft or scared of conflict. Second, they then groom the children by twisting their reality, by exploiting their desperate circumstances, by pretending to love them, by isolating them from friends and family and anybody who might protect them. Third, they avoid arrest and imprisonment for their lifelong careers as child molesters by calculated concealment. More often than not pedos will destroy the reputations of the very children they are abusing, they'll smear them as liars, spread stories about them, do everything to paint them as not credible, they will beat/torture/do sadistic or violent things in front of the children to plant fear in them, they will drug the children and introduce them to hard drugs. Molesting a child Its not something that just "happens" and its never a mistake. The mistake is picking the wrong kid. The mistake is doing it in the wrong place. The mistake is getting caught. Twice, almost a decade apart. Think about all of the 365 days worth of children between the mistakes.

We want to mythologize them because it makes it easier for us to feel safe if we can separate from someone like this. Which doesn’t mean what they do isn’t monstrous or evil. But to throw them away without any questions is foolish and emotion based. We’re more likely to perpetuate harm by not investigating why some people become this way, and how to mitigate it. I remember another Prof stating that he didn't believe in the death penalty, except in two cases: 1. Psychopaths, and 2. Pedophiles. Why? Because generally speaking, we can't effectively treat them (and despite what this guy says, I don't believe he's the exception). Psychopaths are be extremely good at adapting to situations. I would love to believe he has changed, but when someone boasts about scoring off the charts for psychopathy, you have to pause and question his agenda and who he is trying to convince, or his rehabilitation. Many people who are psychopaths navigate in this world without doing jail time, but most end up abusing/manipulating those around them for personal gain/power/career/sexual gratification and leave a trail of destruction in most cases.

      @@DuckiesDad08 Hi how are you?
So it's this really interesting test and it was invented by a psychologist called Robert Hare who specialises in studying psychopaths. He was frustrated that there wasn't a test to measure the level of psychopathy in a person so he made this scale. You answer questions and the higher your score the more psychopathic you are. It goes from 1 to 40. Normal people get a score of between 1 and 10. To be a full blown psychopath it's from 30 up but from 10 up its psychopathic tendencies. So you can watch cool UA-cam videos on it or look up robert hare and it'll explain it well.

    Amazing interview.
What I took away from it is, it's okay to distance yourself from toxic family and never look back if you acknowledge it's for your better growth.
Even if you have to physically still see them as an adult; to soul-distance a little for your own well being.
I do this today when I visit my family.
I also took away from this interview that this man's rehabilitation experience was a success, good for him, I hope there are more.
Mark mentioned reparenting, cool that is a term I'm hearing recently too.

But yeah we still have free will, but i think that can be inpaired because of trauma in some sense. Also some scientist say we dont even have free will, that everything is predetermined by history... I dont think its so easy to say it like "he wanted to inflict it on others"... but yeah some truly evil people do exist also. Thanks Mark@Soft White Underbelly! I really enjoy your videos as they are very provocative and thought provoking.
I am an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse and hate all pedophiles. I feel as though My pedophiles KILLED the loving, trusting little girl that I was and changed the whole projectors of my life. I actually feel like he killed the person I was destined to be. I was supposed to be something! I was supposed to do big things with my life. From the moment I was abused I went downhill drastically. Like a chain reaction…I ran away from home, made bad decision, got in trouble with the law (mostly due to my anger issues). Got involved with prescription pain killers to numb the terrible feelings inside me. That trauma messed me up my mind, heart and soul big time! I became very promiscuous very early in life. I had my first child at 15 and my second child at 16. The father was a 24 year old man. Needless to say, I was diagnosed with PTSD and had no idea how to parent properly. I have 5 children and 2 of them (22 and 34 years old) overdosed on fentanyl in 2015 and 2021. My parents were also robbed because they did everything right to give me a good life. Unfortunately their only mistake was trusting a long term friend who was not trustworthy around lil girls. I hate this for myself and I hate this for my parents. I eventually got big and strong and charged my main sexual abuser. He only received6 months in jail which is nothing to all the years and hurt I have suffered. IMO I did not get justice from the law system. What did give me justice is when I saw “him” at a coffee shop one day and beat the fuck out of him! After that all my anger issues (misdirected at other people) instantly vanished and I felt empowered. Today I am a 50 year old woman who can now take full responsibility and accountability for my own life and actions but only because I confronted (hurt) my abuser and spent years in counselling.
I always believed they are just hardwired that way and will never change. After listening to this man speak and tell his story, I can tell that he is genuinely sorry for what he’s done and he’s done a shit load of work to change and understand his sickening behaviour.
Wtg ped! You have opened my eyes and heart just a lil bit. Thanks

don't understand why there are so many people clicking on this video, knowing damn well the whole point of this channel is to show the stories of people who are otherwise judged, this is a platform for viewers to understand what makes people act the way they do. and yet, every single time, there are people judging the interviewee for how they have been affected by trauma, as if people choose how trauma will affect them. no-one chooses to be good nor bad, people only do what they can and know. you are not here to understand, you are here to judge so you can feel better about yourself. the same people who would also call themselves ''empaths'', yet are incapable of understanding a person, when they don't like what they've done, because their actions don't instill emotions of pity in you to make you feel like you're such a good person for feeling sorry for a victim. that is not empathy, that is ego.

Obviously there’s always going to be monsters that will never change and it’ll never be perfect but this is one thing that we need to figure out how to fix as a community and what mark is doing I feel like is helping a lot of people and honestly realize how important being a healthy and good parent.

This video has been the best I've seen as far as Sex Offenders go. Bill's insight is exactly what I hope for with rehabilitating a sex offender. my ex husband sexually abused his sisters as a young child (no one ever told anyone) and then sexually abused our daughter. He has been in a sex offender prison that is HIGHLY rehabilitating in NJ. He's been in there since 2002 and is still there. What Bill says about how offenders are especially with empathy and how the center is ....is very true. Being the abused and being the abuser is both horrible and I'm so very sorry for both sides.

I was abused as well as a child and I am interested in psychology but I've noticed I tend to stay away from sexual abuser style things because I notice myself feeling like I will never understand as I know what it is like to be invaded personally, but I will say that this man "seems" to express remorse and is apologetic, and I use the quotes not out of disrespect but honestly out of respect for the victims of the situation because even if he is better(which is amazing if so) he may not be as well and I want to speak on respect in relation to victims of sexual abuse. Very serious topic which I feel was spoken very well and respectfully in this video. Lots of love and light to all people and wishing everyone safety and happiness 🙌

He seems to be a master of the lingo, but I noticed him contradict himself throughout this interview. Psychopathy is not treatable, not at least in a way that could be considered a cure, it is a condition which must be managed carefully or there will be severe consequences. I'm glad he is able to at least feign humility and introspection, but I would not trust him, sorry. The way he glossed over his crimes and described them in such simple clinical terms indicates a lack of accountability to me. Pedophilia is not an addiction, it is a symptom of a deviant pathology.
