20 HKD for ONE egg tart??? What a rip off in disney! Thanks for looking at HK my home in such a positive light. Sinichi is too kind.. that Hainan chicken looks dry and the fried chicken batter is horrendous.. looks soggy and soft. HK food is really a hit and miss and I am a local... Sinichi's "not bad" is our " very average" .. he is so kind
Well it is a Disney park and most theme parks inflate prices. Though I noticed when I was at HK Disneyland, the prices were not as inflated as the food in Disneyland OC. Still the pricing is expected, and hey it's the experience everyone is paying for, not the food.

That was Darth Vader. Disney bought Star Wars for $4 billion USD. Currently, they are building Star Wars Land in Disneyland, California's main park. Thank you for this wonderful video. It is fantastic to see the other Disney parks. Amazing how the meals closely replicated Japanese meals, such as the satay/yakitori. Dr. Weil, a well-known American M.D., notes people should eat at least one of every color (purple through red) of the visible light spectrum in fruits and vegetables. Tell Laurence to make smoothies or stir fry fruit in sauces.

Disney and Macy's are like amazing with designing firework displays. I miss Statoshi. Give Lawrence a frozen banana with nuts. It's like the Epcot Center thing to do. Great video :)

FUN video. Lawrence is cool but he does need to eat fruit I guess. A few months ago (at 53) I decided to eat 2 pieces of fruit a day almost every day. I feel exactly the same as before but I guess I am healthier! LOL! If I can do it he can too. I thought the prices there were high then I looked up an exchange rate calculator, for the quality of the food I thought it looked about right for a theme park. I wanted the pork puffs near the end the most.

I looove any kind of fruits (as long it's not too sour). As a tropical country residents, we got many kinds of fruits around. And they're pretty cheap here.
Too bad my love for them only one sided. I'm allergic to some. While the other makes me do a lot of precaution before eating.
As for Laurence, as long as he eat a lot of veggies (roots, greens, tomatoes, etc) I guess he can stay healthy, without eating fruits.
There's nothing better going on an eating spree in a happy place. Seems like the food there has some quality to it!

I went to Disney HK, I ate at the explorer place and I was at the same spot! XD
But I ate the New year festival special for 2 and it was amazing!
There are a lot more food choices in HK Disneyland than the 2 in the USA. They look delicious also. It is a little expensive if compare with restaurants outside of the Park (obviously) but for Disneyland, it's is reasonable.

Do you go on many rides? I love Disney parks and the rides but with all of that delicious food I think I would spend my whole day eating 😁
I hate to tell you this but that bakery is probably operates by Maxim's, one of the ordinary bakery chains in HK (i.e. that egg tart is probably the same quality as what you can get in 5/6 HK dollars in thier branches all over HK). The price there is indeed inflated.

I'm not a big fan of fruit, either. I love vegetables and eat them all the time, but I have to be in the right mood for fruit. And I don't like fruit mixed with a lot of other foods, especially meat. I like to eat it by itself or maybe in a smoothie.

Not liking fruit isnt a big deal. I was the the strange child that prefered spinich to apples, and still generally dislike fruit to this day with a couple exceptions (bananas, strawberries, orange juice). As long as you eat alot of different veggies your fine.
I noticed Lawrence used chopsticks to eat his bone-in chicken and shrimp, so I'm just curious, is it considered impolite to use your hands in Hong Kong, or is that just something he personally does? Americans would just dig in and get our hands messy lol

No, it's not impolite to use your hands in most restaurants, maybe except those very high class ones. On the other side, most food was cut into small pieces, you just can eat it in one bite. But I think most people just don't want to get their hands dirty.

Nicole Rusli thanks I was hoping it was vanilla flavoured and not lemon. Now I really have to try some. I'll probably have to make them myself but that's ok I was a baker for a few years when I was able to work.
agreed! Or you can always try and find a Portuguese bakery near you. Portuguese egg tarts (famous in Macau as well) taste very similar to the ones they sell in HK!
There's no vanilla flavour to it, it's just a sweet, steamed egg in a flaky or cookie tart crust. Just think of it like custard pudding.
Sometimes it has a little bit of caramel flavour from the cooked sugar, but it has no extra flavour added.

But what's this thing about Lawrence having to eat fruit in the comments?
He certainly does not have to and maybe he even should not eat fruit. Fruit contains a lot of fructose (a type of sugar). It is rare but there are people intolerant to fructose like there is lactose intolerance (more common). Maybe his body is telling him something and Lawrence is wise enough to listen?!
Veggies contain plenty of vitamins and minerals plus healthy bitter agents which most of the fruits definitely do not have.
And everyone can see him eat vegetables, can't they?
Another thing: Lawrence does not strike me as an unhealthy sickly individual suffering from malnutrition - maybe a sign he is doing perfectly fine in that regard? :-P
Maybe if respect for another human being's choices and their right to make them does not teach you more years of life experience eventually will: There is no "one size fits all" in nutrition, (lifestyle, occupation, personality spirituality/religion, talents etc.)

As long as Lawrence is okay and is healthy, then he doesn't have to eat fruit. Sure, they say fruit and veg is good. But I don't eat veg, though I do eat fruit. XD lol I eat like maybe one or two veggies, but the rest I dislike. XD But, at the same time I can understand why people would want Lawrence to eat fruit.
