- Meat and Cheese Forne serves up tasty Italian food in Tokyo. They also offer up some crazy creations! On this visit, we tried the Volcano Red Meat Sauce Spaghetti, The Roast Beef Carbonara and the Shrimp Chicago Pizza (when available).

Honestly this seems like a great place to eat in a group so you can try everything bit by bit. That carbonara dish loved amazing, I’d love to share it with someone!
These are innovative dishes I'd _love_ to sample if I ate meat. They're hearty and accessible, not "precious" with too many obscure ingredients. Thanks for sharing them with us, and bravo Meat and Cheese Forne! Love to you both. 💜💜
All three dishes look great but I think I'd easily put together the volcano spaghetti at home and serve one to everyone at the table.

All looked good but I would really enjoy the last dish. I agree, "Meat, cheese, pasta are best friends". Good point about needs to be good in flavor, not just "wow!".

Wow! Impressive. Mahalo for sharing this place. We are planning to visit the Starbucks Roastery (I was in the fence about this place until til I saw your video) and happy to see that Meat &Cheese Forno is near by so we are planning to put it on our itinerary next time we visit Tokyo. You guys are always giving us ideas on eating places even in my own city. You guys are awesome!

The noodles are crazy. But in pizza with a crust? I had a pizza with shrimp in Norway. I was pretty disappointed. Where’s the pepperoni? Thanks for showing such novel dishes.

The Volcano Spathetti remind of ot that thing where you put someone's glass in a little wooden tray and intentionally overfill it with sake. It's like they're saying "Oh, you wanted cheese on your pasta?" and the pot just erupts with it.

As a Chicagoan, I will judge this!
Edit: you will have to come to Chicago. Deep dish pizza is a thick, stodgy dough with a ton of mozzarella cheese and crushed tomatoes on top. Toppings may be under the sauce.
We also do thin crust (tavern style) that is relatively unique to the Midwest. This is pasta shaped like deep dish! It's not uncommon for countries to really change the recipe on these things.
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago is Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company. They have those yummy pizza pot pies. They're so good. Hope I get to go there again someday.

I'm also a Chicagoan. As @helvetiqa said, this may use Chicago-style pizza as an inspiration, but it is really not close to being Chicago deep-dish pizza. We got back from Japan about a month ago, and I saw at least two different pizza places that had "Chicago-style" pizza on their menus. I didn't go in to try because I had other things that I wanted to eat. :) - Z.

Not sure about noodles ON/IN pizza. Not disgusting in any way, but odd. I think I’d prefer the volcano one.
Never seen anything like this! But I also have to say that Chicago-style pizza's are not available here reallly. Let alone with pasta in it. I like the concept of the restaurant and I think my husband and daughter would definitely like it, but for me it's too much cheese and tomato sauce.
Italians triggered when saw carbonara 😂😂
Real carbonara is so easy, all it is is a raw egg person, lots of parmesan reggiano and some pepper mixed in a bowl. When noods are done add them to the big bowl of the eggs and parmesan, and some salted water (pasta water needs to be very salty to season the pasta) and mix to make creamy. Carbonara doesn't have cream.
Very odd dishes but they look really good.
Those options are so much more original than actual Chicago-style Pizza.

I think maybe this should have been labeled Chicago deep dish inspired “pizza”. It looks amazing, but not even remotely authentic Chicago deep dish. Can you ship some to me???
