I live in New Zealand and I visited Chongqing in March for 10 days, I agree with all your comments and I too think it is a wonderful city to visit.
So cyberpunk!
hahahah what is cyberpunk?
@@BlondieinChina science fiction concept, a futuristic city setting.

I have never been to those places in your videos but I really enjoy discovering it through your point of view, it’s very informative, lively and funny. Thanks for sharing ! Keep up the good work ! :D

i am so proud of my country. it develops quickly. it's incredible. it attributes to the hardworking people, who makes the city more beautiful/ charming / prosperous. ... thanks for the formers' efforts.
Taiwan Sausage 现在去坐缆车的人真的太多了

Im from Chongqing, and ive been stuck in France since the quarantine. I feel so homesick, everything in your video is so familiar to me, thank you for bringing all these beautiful things to me 😥
I'm british, but stuck in france also. But I'm considering going to live in Chongqing this summer c: what a coincidence xD
@@KairuinKorea really? I will actually go buck to Chongqing in this summer, that’s quite a coincidence 😂
Just discovered your channel recently, and I really like what you're doing. My hometown is Chongqing, but I've never been there. I was born and raised in Beijing, and now I live in Canada. Thank you for giving such a fabulous presentation of my hometown to the world.
I had a blast in Chongqing, such a fun city to visit! You really did a lot in just one day. We were completely exhausted after our 5 day trip to Chongqing from all the stairs and mountains. The view from your room was amazing! I've done my own series on Chongqing videos, and my recent videos are all from Xi'an where I live.
Amazing video! Glad to see that you enjoy the journal here and thank you for sharing the beauty of Chongqing with others. I am from Chongqing. 🥰🥂
I am Chinese, subscribed now because of your honesty. There is almost no bias in your videos, these are all real feelings from your heart. Enjoy your time in China!
binge watching all your content... the editing, the narrating, the topics... ALL FIRE
Love the enthusiasm you have, love the city, love China !
Keep it up Amy !!! Good channel :D
Aboslutely love Chongqing. My favorite city in China with an awesome cyberpunk vibe and a skyline that in my opinion surpasses that of Shanghai and Hong Kong. Such an overlooked gem.
Your 'fast and furious' videos always get the heart pumping in a good way! :D
I like when something in China still surprises you.
hahahahah it was definitely a fast paced city!!! But I wouldn't have it any other way :)
Best China Chanel so far no negative bullshit! I watch video after video. 🤪✈️

So it's positive bullshit? You are somehow right and that's what most people want to see: Not the truth but what makes them excited in a positive way.

wow, love your attitude and your positive thinking to seeing things❤️if everyone thinks like you, this world sure be a better place❤️
You know so much about China. Thank you so much for your hard work.
Visited Chongqing briefly 20 years ago. (I was interested in it because I'd written a Ph.D. thesis on the history of its foreign community in its treaty port days in the early 20th century.) One thing I liked was the sidewalks going over the street!
5:10 I loved the video and your interpretations. Thanks.
ChongQing is my hometown and i am so happy that you can make this special video for it.. There are also many natural scenic spots where you r able to visit, of course, if you'd like to. At last, you gotta try the authentic hotpot because if you don't eat it here then nowhere else can you taste the real and authentic flavour of hotspot, lol, anyway, thanks for prasing my city, and enjoy your trip here.
That's an unreal hostel! Great view but I couldn't handle the height! Thanks for these informative videos, I love the way you're just open to new experiences in a variety of different environments. :)
Thank you for making this awesome video! From Chongqing myself but been living in Sydney for 7 years. This makes me home-sick:)

Thank U for recommending Chongqing!
love Chongqing! Great city, great vibe! Next time you should check out the nightlife after hotpot :-)
I love all your videos Amy! But just a suggestion, could you please include the names of the places that you stay at and their prices and also a rough estimate of what it costs to be in a particular place through flight, train or whatever and sightseeing. It will just give us a brief idea about the budget that we need to allocate before we go to any of the places that you show in your videos. Because honestly, your videos are so good that it makes me want to go to each and every place that you show 🙈 And I would really appreciate if I could get an estimate of what it would cost and some recommendations for hotels/hostels to stay in. 🙈❤️
I completely agree, I was wondering the same thing
sure! Great suggestion! I'll try to include it for next time :)

Great to see all the familiar places from when I worked there. The first time that bridge you were on overlooking Hongyadong was still being built. And the last time your hotel/hostel building was under construction! Things happen fast in Chongqing. But two days? You need to two months at least to even get some idea :-) And, referring to your How I Learnt Chinese video, didn't you notice that the normal greeting there was ni hao?
Wow beautiful place! Love Chong-ching from Cheng-tu

It's funny, I grew up in Hong Kong & never once explored China beyond a primary school trip to Shenzhen & Beijing + going to Macau for the casino lol! I'm learning a lot about China from you. Next time I return to HK to see my folks, I'll have to explore China properly

Another video. Another thumbs Up from me!
Excellent coverage!
that lift for workers transport sudden heavy or big stuff especially cleaning team use that elevator not for public friendly use but just incase lift is limited you need to wait for while when lift not ready reaching to your floor and you can get a ride with this bomber lift or sudden named lift etc
I went to this hostel in 2017. It's pretty nice! Reminded me of my journey in Chongqing at that time. Well done!

Chongqing is as hot as hell.
I was in my 28th floor apartment in Chongqing when there was an earthquake. Whole building was swaying. It was super nerve-wracking, but thank God no buildings came down😅
Very nice video, I found your channel recently and it's a good way to discover new things about China ! I just started chinese this year, although I admit that it was more a strategic choice for my futur career than a passion for this country, nevertheless I'm starting to change my view on this thanks to you. What makes me reluctant to go there (double degree in Tsinghua for example) is the political system and the pollution, how do you feel about this ?
That's awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying my content! I have to tell you, in the beginning, learning chinese was also a strategic choice for me. I was going to study business and thought a chinese major would be a nice way to compliment it. It was only when I went to China for my first time that I absolutely fell in love with it, and the rest is history!!! It's an amazing place, you will surely come to love it. For me, I don't watch the news and am not really interested in politics. As long as it doesn't interfere with my daily life, I'm fine. And apart from having to use a VPN to see instagram and youtube, I don't feel any kind of influence from the political system. In terms of pollution, beijing is 1000000x better than it was 3 years ago. Many of the big factories nearby have been closed and most days are clear blue skies, not like the old days where most days you couldn't go outside. Of course, its still more polluted than australia and most western countries but I never think about it really, it just doesnt bother me as much as it used to. Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
@@BlondieinChina So nice of you to give such a detailed answer ! Interesting that the hard regime's policy is not actually really percieved. And it's true that China is making more effort against pollution than a lot of western countries. I'm majoring in computer science so some chinese universities could be interesting for me, I'll have to think about that.
Keep up the good work :) !

I remember studying economics as a kid and the teacher showed us a documentary thing about this city, where a lot of people come from all parts of China to work here and try to make a living with not very good wages and also this city is famous for having extremely serious air pollution. 10 plus years later (now), this city is turning into a mega city and things have improved significantly, like you said, it is not perfect, but it is quite special. Keep up the good videos!
