Beautiful koi! Questions. At Koi enterprises it looks like they use sand filters just like for a pool to run the tanks. Lucky having well water. I hate city water. I did put a super in-line water filter to remove the chlorine and chloramines. This is used to make small weekly water changes. Next question, do you quarantine you koi first? If you remember I had 3 babies just like you on July 15. Well two months later they are 6 inches long already. Their colors are really starting to come in. The one is looking just like the father. From all I’ve read they shouldn’t be that big already. Regardless, the wife and I are simply loving them. I have to believe my water conditions are perfect. Crystal clear water and all chemical test are spot on. Took a long time to finally get the pond this way. Last year I had big muck problems because I had too many fish. I still get conflicting information as to how many fish per gallon. I see so many videos that appear to have way more fish than the they should. Regardless I’m a very happy camper.
