Coaches offer such an affordable way to travel for people on a modest budget that, even if they are not glamorous with beds and showers like luxury trains, at least most of them have air conditioning and heating. I am happy to see a report on such fine coaches and would love to hear about others. From England, we have the National Express company with its amazing wide option of destinations.

Thank you, Nonstop eurotrip! Oh yes, we've taken Flixbus several times, and we've never been disappointed. But we always reserve seats in advance, if possible in front when it's available, sometimes it's taken. The train is still better for me, much faster and more ecological. And I love the train.

    Great report.
I used the bus from Trieste to Rijeka (Croatia) in a trip from Canada to Croatia (Taxi from VCE airport to Quarto d'Altino station, Train to Trieste, then, Bus to Rijeka). But it was with Autotrans. Good service and very low price. We also have the option of Flixbus but Autotrans have better schedules and it was possible to book our trip a long time before so we prefered Autotrans. 3 years ago.

    • @AntenneQC
      @AntenneQC 4 роки тому +1

At our return we have to use the same transports (bus, train, then, taxi to the Airport) but we stopped in Trieste for few hours to visit. One thing I wanted to visit was the old tram-funicular but it was broken and out of service. I hope that it is now up and running because it seems to be a very rare technology (a tram that is partially a funicular). Otherwise, the wind can be strong at this time of the year, they cal it "Bora".

Great video. I took Flixbus from Braunschweig to Leipzig, Germany, a few years ago. I think it's a great option if you want to travel on a budget. Plus you still get to see places along the way, just like taking the trains. :)

Nice report to this historic VSOE-route and certainly a convenient train-gap-filler regarding all the fuzz by alternatives. I used to travel by train(Interrail) between Ljubljana and Venice several times from the 1990ties to 2011.
Remembering the night train Venice--Budapapest(-Moscow?)/-Zagreb(-Belgrade-...?), the Pendolino Venice-Ljubljana. In the new millenium these international connections were stopped ...
So, the scenic train route to Koper became a nice alternative - connecting with local bus or sundays by hitchhicking to Trieste Centrale.
Actually never used the nostalgic tramway Opicina-Trieste. That would possibly have been another alternative using trains between Ljubljana and Sezana respectively Trieste and Venice. Sezana-Opicina(5km) by bus/hitchhick?
Don't know to much either about the connections in Gorizia/Nova Gorizia. Like the other local buses in Koper (and Sezana/Opicina?) they don't seem to run international with Corona at the moment. But Google says, it's just a ten-minute walk in Slovenia to the italian city bus line.
Last but not least - there was also the "railway-run" connection via Villach. SZ to Villach and ÖBB-Intercity-Bus to Mestre.

Interesting little trip report. Looks like the bus you rode doesn't have the full Flixbus interior like I've seen on some of the other contractors they've hired. That interior includes grey and green seats, same colors as what's seen in Dylan's Flixtrain video, plus wood texture floor and green mood lighting. On the buses with working wifi, they also have a small selection of on demand entertainment available, though the player doesn't seem to work on phones. Still I enjoyed myself on a non stop trip from Copenhagen to Hamburg, relaxing in what I'd honestly describe as better comfort than provided by DSB, and watching the Boxtrolls on the laptop.

We visited Ljubljana, Bled (and beautiful Lake Bled) in Slovenia,
Trieste in Italy and Pula in Croatia. We took the train from Slovenia to the Italian bordertown of Gorizia, and could from Slovenia walk into Italy, only 50m from the Slovenian train station. Then local train from the other end of Gorizia to Trieste.
Trip from Italy to Croatia was with a coach bus (I don’t remember which company).

I took them once on Kraków to Katowice at 23:00 and it cost 10.50 euro (due to a flight arriving in Kraków at 22:00 and having no other option). I've been looking into their Katowice-Budapest and Kraków-Budapest routes for a vacation this fall (due to there being no north-south rail line through central Slovakia) and it is about 25 euro for that connection, from which I can take onward night train toward Romania.

I have never tried Flixbus and try to avoid it whenever it's possible. This company is continually producing bad news (at least in Germany), mostly about underpayed partners and overworked drivers who crash their busses. I don't like their businness modell at all.

05:11 You have a very bad habit. You touch the paper with wet hands and leave it for someone to use after you. You do that on every video 🤢

Actually not all. Maybe 3 or 4 videos and I always take the paper towel after I've finished filming.

Please don't write in between the video. Whatever you want to say, please mention it in the description. Right from the beginning till the end, u have been writing which covers almost half of screen and disrupts the beautiful view.I clicked just to enjoy the beautiful view , but was disappointed with those scribblings.....If u can , then please send me the unedited footage . i would love it. Please take care and do more bus reviews, but with less scriblings......Thank you !!!

Sorry, all of my reviews have 'scribblings' on them and they will stay that way as most people want them. I do not have a uncaptioned version
