Well... currently I'm in it about 1450. with a few more things I'll need to buy. As far as the winch, I'm just going to bag it and the cables when not in use. With these repeaters going for about $1000, how does one find one for only $100?
Honestly just meeting somebody who had one sitting around... total luck. I have a few other friends that bought a few for well under 500.

Unfortunately i don't. Sometimes a used one is cheaper than building one. I just picked up a Vertex VXR7000 for 100 bucks.
