It’s the best and loudest speaker I own, my 6th soundcore item. I can’t say a bad thing about the Boom 2 my best purchase this year. It is mind boggling how loud and how much bass it has outside. I want another haha

… I am so stoked with your review of two of SOUNDCORE’s speakers. Finally I found someone who talks plain sense and in the end, my money is on the BOOM vs. BOOM 2 and here is why… you mentioned and pointed out a couple of things that caught my eye and ear..
1.) the two feet on the BOOM (stabilizers) and how stable they were on your boat… and,
2.) the sound and bass were just a little’bit less than the BOOM 2 and,
most importantly the price savings of $60. USD made it easy to purchase the BOOM! Keep coming with your honest and insightful reviews🤙🏽
Good point on the form factor and resulting stability. Note however that the Boom 2 can float with the speakers facing up...

If the boom 2 is $130 and the motion boom is $70 spend the extra 10 bucks get 2 motion booms and take advantage of the True Wireless Stereo :)
Sometimes it's a good idea to wait, especially since it's early in the year...by October or something, that company will definitely have more Bluetooth speakers

I’ve got two of the soundcore motion boom plus and I use them with my nebula projector so movies sound great!
honestly, i got the stormbox blast on sale at 130 bucks as well and its on a whole different league. with that said, this speaker seems really good as well :)
Just taken delivery of the Boom 2 after owning a motion boom since release I hope I haven't made a mistake and it's an upgrade

Notably, the chief rival of this product is its predecessor within the same brand, primarily due to aggressive price reductions. In my estimation, the Boom 2 stands out as a superior investment.
I really hope they keep the original Boom in production because it is a classic together with the motion plus. However, it would be nice if they can update their boom plus by adding the same mono woofer, adding some more low end thump to it.
They are great but the plus is amazing and it’s not much more especially refurbed great video

The problem with Soundcore is they're pushing out too many models with confusing naming conventions, sometimes with little differences between models, along with too much price fluctuations. I bought a X600 since I think it's a beautiful display for any home and a motion 300 for its compact size and ruggedness. I'm wondering if I should wait for a follow up for the motion boom plus, that is if they even plan to make it.
Not to mention the marketing behind it lol. The x600 with their "spacial audio" when they just add a 3rd driver and it's still in stereo anyways.

Cant compare, it is 4 times as heavy, not really a portable speaker, more like a transportable speaker.

The motion boom plus costs the same if not a little bit more than this and sounds better. The boom 2 looks really cool but i really dont like how they went to a mono setup. I prefer to have stereo separation and less harsh highs.

Right now in Amazon TR *the SC MB Plus* sells for ~151€. This is a remarkably low price actually. Same as what *JBL Charge 5* sells for in Amazon FR or DE, for example.
Do you think one would be better off waiting for the release of *SC MB Plus 2* which is not announced yet, or it would be a wise move to go ahead and grab *the SC MB Plus* while its price is so inexpensive.
I watched the few videos where *the SC MB Plus* sound quality (both bass, high and mid pitches and sound strength) is compared with that of *JBL Charge 5.* The former beats the latter very clearly. Very recently I got 2 Charge 5* for a stereo speaker setup. But my mind still lingers on *"Anker SC MB Plus".*

True audio fans will recognize the boom 2 has better clarity. And overall better sound.And it is an upgrade. If u just worried bout saving money I dont how much more u can expect for spending only 130$. The bigger companies like bose or JBL or marshall will not give u much power for 150$. (Bose flex, jbl flip, marshall emberton) Soundcore is the absolute best bang for ur buck.
I agree. I have 2 booms 2 pluses 2 boom 2s. These are great value and if noone has tried pairing them in tws mode you are seriously missing out. It just transforms the depth and sound big time. I have reviewed all three and i was going to send the boom back but i agree that on some occasions or how you place it , it can get a brighter sound but when pushed too hard it gets harsh. Id say the boom 2 is nicer but i can only compare it to my other boom speakers.
They are a good bang for buck......but Tribit Stormbox Blast makes them look like a toy. $200. Sometimes less. I like Soundcore. But the Blast is miles better. It's just much heavier. Yes, it rivals the motion boom plus. Just better in sound quality.

Good Speakers. If you want a GREAT speaker.......just get the Tribit Stormbox Blast. Yeah it cost a bit more. You willl be glad you did. Best 200 bucks money can buy. No comparison to these, Cheers!
Why would anyone bother with these, when they can spend maybe 20-30% more and get a Tribit stormbox blast which destroys both of them

I have the stormbox blast but am now looking for something a little smaller and more portable since the blast is the most portable. Sounds great though!
