80 watts MAX with bass up feature on. RMS, you’re getting 30-40 watts. The RMS is what you’re hearing most of the time. Peak or max wattage is what you hear in a brief musical burst or the loudest part of a song.😊
Are we in sub bass territory yet? The motion boom and boom plus get hella bassy but my question is… is this a new level or just slightly better? I saw they marketed this w the woofer being labeled a SUBWOOFER which if I’m not mistaken, that’s the first time they used that language on a Boom speaker. Does it slam like a dedicated subwoofer or is it more or less the same ballpark as the other two booms w some tonality changes? If I already own the motion boom and boom plus, am I going to be blown away by this or is it just a “meh” improvement?
Boom 2 doeesnt have a subwoofer. Its just soundcores terrible fake advertisments. They say whatever they feel like lol even if its fake (they do this a lot of times). Fun fact boom 2 doesnt even go as low as 50hz. Well it does but you cant really tell beacuse the its very very quite at 50hz. It has very hard punch at 60hz though. motion boom has sub bass. It goes down to 38-39hz (you need eq for the, in my case i use power amp paid app). Boom 2 is has 1 full range driver which sound core calls it a racetrack subwoofer for some weird reason. Its cleary not a subwoofer beacuse it plays from 50hz to something like 16khz. Jbl does somewhat same in their charge and flip lineup. They call it a racetrack subwoofer but it is cleary a full range driver with boosted bass between 70-130hz.
No. The boom 2 goes as low as 40hz. My soundcore motion boom rolls off at 50hz. The boom 2 has way more bass especially with the new firmware and little to no distortion with bass maxed out at max volume.@@MRDOG_07
Not much into bass. How is x600 compared to boom 2. I use it for movie or general use. Here in Sg boom 2 is jus 60$ more than x600. Help me choose one.
I bought the x600 and was feeling unsure of my purchase because of the lack of bass. Was planning to return, but in the meantime picked up a boom 2. It was perfect for hip hop music and house so I almost returned the x600 until I watched a movie on it. It was a more magical experience than the boom 2 so I ended up keeping both. X600 for movies and clean music at low to mid volume, boom 2 outdoor gathering with friends to blast fun music
@HarinathSrinivas sorry if I insert myself, I wanted to make a suggestion, then you'll obviously have to see. If you are interested above all in films, I bought two Soundcore Motion+ last year: each of them has 30 watts of power, they have the possibility of enhancing the bass, otherwise you leave the basic level, they have Hi Res audio systems and Qualcomm Aptx. I don't know if it's better than this one in terms of sound, I'm happy with it, I use it for both music and films, of course the sum of the speakers is also less powerful but it's still very respectable power, given that it's 30 wattsx2. And, above all, you can have a decent stereo sound that you can't have with a single speaker like this. I don't know how much it costs abroad, here in Italy a Motion+ speaker costs €69.99, while this one for the video costs €100. HI.
@@thefattmatt Hopefully the treble can be improved by using EQ. Thanks for your feedback ! I will probably consider the Boom 2, after Alan’s video I’ll know for sure if I get it or skip it. Lacking bass at lower volume was already an issue on Motion Boom, no dynamic bass adjustment on the Boom 2 apparently.
Let's try a different approach here. Every modern phone should have the same quality if it comes down to bluetooth. Some have newer 5.x standards but that (to my experience) does not influence the quality of the sound. Only the used codecs do make a significant difference. So it depends to which speaker/headphone/in ear you want to use and which codecs are supported. Only then it makes sense to give you an appropriate answer 😉 As far as i could find out the mentioned boom2 here does not support any high res audio codecs like APT-X or LDAC like other Soundcore products do so it should be irrelevant for this speaker which smartphone you're using it with.

Imma need your expertise one more time, man. I recently accidentally washed my OnePlus Buds pro 2 (outside it's case) and even though they survived the trauma I'm gonna need me a new pair. They're not what they used to be. What do you think they should be? OnePlus Buds 3 perhaps? Hugs brother!!
@@furiousgamerofficialYTi think that the size of the motion plus has the advantage here.. but who knows maybe having one large woofer is better, as we saw with the boombox 3
His recordings don't seem to catch bass well.. that's why you only hear mids. He also recorded the xtreme 3 and charge 5 all sounded bass lacking on his recording
@shoerice5083 UA-cam compression, editing software and the sound coming out of phone speakers, headphones, earbuds might very well affect the quality, but I'm receiving my Boom2 tomorrow and I will test it out.
