    Honestly, the more you learn about this truly exquisite lady, the more you fall in love with her: Not just her beauty and elegance, but her kindness, her compassion, her wisdom, her bravery...I hesitate to use the word "perfect" as to be perfect is to be flawless and to have no flaws makes something not real, but she's the closest I think I've ever come to seeing true perfection.

    She is absolutely stunning. Not a piece of jewellery and very minimal makeup, hair swept back off the face and wearing a black suit. Unadorned, not many women could pull that off and still look beautiful and glamorous.

      EXACTLY. Audrey still looked beautiful at this age, because she didn’t go crazy with botox and fillers to try to chase youth. People who get treatments like that never look young, just look scary…it’s best to accept the fact you’re aging and do it with grace.

    Was Wogan being a bit off about the famine at the beginning??

    • @oscarwilde5473
      @oscarwilde5473 Рік тому

      J Read ... yes, he liked his audience nice and gullible. At several points he used guarded threats to shut down Audrey's wish to discuss 6 million suffering famine in a war zone, dedicated to the British weapons industry, and hunger from rare metals and resource corporate plunder. Watch and listen carefully again, and the gauze veil muffle will fall away from the consensus trance, and you'll hear Wogan call Audrey both a "liar", and "seamy". He was a veteran high reaching treacherous b-st-rd with an agenda, and full fledged nipple suckler of the state, occasionally allowed to use his teeth to draw blood of the teat, but never enough to cause too much of a scandal. Wogan's involvement with Children in Need was a travesty I witnessed at close range ...

    I always loved this show. But watching it now Wogan is frequently bloody awful, interrupting his guest as she is trying to make us aware of the Sudan, and he's making glib jokes about himself.

  • @seliagomez8675

    Very odd + confusing as to why he says "seamy"? Definitely a word with negative connotations, which is the opposite of Audrey Hepburn.

    • @oscarwilde5473
      @oscarwilde5473 Рік тому

      Seilia Gomez ... I suggest she wished to discuss the issue of 6 million displaced Sudanese in the middle of a war zone, half of which were children, but Wogan wanted his tattle bled white for light entertainment, shutting down her reason for being there. Between the lines, and with a re-tuned ear, you'll sense Terry Wogan is just another c---, wheeling out platitudes, feeding stupidity, ignorance, bread and circuses. Some more jam for the salve, dear ... ??
