A friend of the family worked at Thames TV for many years and I used to love hearing about the big stars who worked there. He said David was very shy in real life, he worked on the Doctor In Charge series I think.
He seemed to be very proud of " only fools" now he doesn't really want to be just reminded of the role, because he said he said he's done a lot of other work
Well it’s been 36 years since this aired.. I would imagine being asked every single day of your life about Del Boy despite the fact you’ve done numerous other things would eventually get so draining to hear.. Everything was fresh and new to him back then..
