Bought my '94 GT on 22 December 1993, three days before Christmas complete with giant red bow over the hood and displayed in the showroom when I went to pick it up. Black, 5.0 4-speed. Within the first year, I upgraded the brakes (13-in. Cobra up front, 11-in. reae, powder coated red), with 17-inch Cibra R rims, 3:55 gears, K&N filter, and underpullys and GT 40 aluminum heads with MSD electronics. Factory exhaust until it turned 25 years old before I had the catalytic converters cut off legally and ran through Flowmaster Thunder series mufflers. Bad ass sound and plenty quick and sharp looking enough for this ol' 72 year old gearhead. Over 167,000 on the clock and still runs like new. Get favorable comments and thumbs up when I hit the street.
@Jesse Crowe great man a turbo b head cobra can do work and you are forged rods and pistons away from 700-800 on stock heads. 4v ftw. They sound like sex. As good as the pushrods sound I honestly think the non coyote 4v sounds even better. Weather it's the 4.6 or 5.4/5.8 which are basically just big mod motors too. One of the main reasons I wanted my 07 gt500 was because it reminded me of my 97 cobra in alot of ways I owned 4 years in my early 20s. Had alot of fun in that car. Always wanted to put forced induction on but sadly never got to before it was totaled in 2008. Gone but not forgotten. Those are awesome cars nice taste man. They had forged cranks and the strongest aluminum block ever offered in a mustang. They are majorly slept on for making big power. I hate to see a 4v swapped for a coyote or even worse an ls the 4v has a ton of potential it's sad some think it needs swapped lol.
My 98 cobra blew up 6 months ago. It’s 2023 and super hard to find these motors but I did and my babes back in a week ❤ these videos are getting me through 😂
My sn95 been sitting for a few years. I just had a baby and bought a 4Runner to have space to haul her around. I’m about to get on my shit and go save my baby.
Sometimes I wish I had a 94-98 SN-95 Cobra so I could throw the SVO style side exhaust on it. They are making knock off SVO side exhaust again (through the rocker style). 04 Cobras cannot get exhaust like that because subframe connectors are in the way (so I’m told).
Yeah I HAVE BEEN ASKING 4 THIS EXACT VIDEO AND THANKS Atlantic Beach North Carolina here own 2 myself and WAS THINKING ABOUT COYOTE SWAP LOL 😂 until NOW THANKS AGAIN
FINALLY! An SN95 channel that I've been searching for!! I have 97 GT in Autumn Orange, all stock, all options except leather interior. I want to eliminate the stock exhaust. Any suggestions? I want a throaty classic muscle car sound. So many options out there.
Hey I love the content. Just got my first ever car. 96 gt. I can't wait to do some mods, few questions, its a 4.6 not sure whats done besides, exhaust, cold air, has a t45, aftermarket pulleys, was wondering the best sounding chopping cam I can put in. And the holley efi screen i see in this video, is it compatible. And any other mods u recommend, im limited on funds and doing the work outside myself. I'm very good with mechanics. Only thing it needs i can't do is a TOB. Car has ground effect kit, to low for me to try it on ground.
Appreciate your support. I like the sound of trickflow stage 2 cams. "Budget" mods that you can do would be heads, cam, intake from a 99-04 Mustang. They are called P.I heads(performance improvements). That will give you a nice bump in compression also. You can find PI heads on other Ford 4.6 2v cars and truck. Changing the gear to a 4.10 is another great bang for buck mod. The Holley screen works with the Holley efi system. If you have junkyards nears, finding those parts should be easy. Ford made five billion of those motors😂
@@SN95Power agreed. My Tesla Model S is fast, but feels slow. My 94 mustang is slow, but feels fast. Of the two, guess which one gets compliments every day I drive it? Guess which one is more fun? 20th century cars don’t need to be fast. They just need to be.
The first thing you need to do is stop worrying about what other people like or want or think. You do you man and don't apologize for it. These things have plenty of potential that goes for any of them and they can be quick with their original engines too swaps not necessary. 96 up cars are excellent for coyote swaps but can be built to make big power especially 96-98 cobras. A fbo cammed 96-98 cobra can do 350+ rwhp with the right setup and with 410-430 gears and a tire they can move tf out. Easily capable of 11s on motor. That is plenty quick even in today's standards for an all motor setup. With boost they can sneak into the 10s on stock motor and with a built motor sky's the limit.
@UmmYeahOk but they sure can be fast with the right tweaks and it doesn't take a full out insane build to accomplish it either. Great outlook man and props for understanding what makes cool cars cool. It's not always about the best 0-60 time or et.
There are as many bad examples of fox bodies, and new edges, as sn95s, the sn95 is just plain slept on, considered a cruddy car. The video I didn't ask for ...but needed...Thank you guys for all the amazing SN95 content...it is greatly appreciated
It's the content you deserve... but not the content you needed🤣. Appreciate your support
