Hey man I used to play badminton in middle school and am now getting into tennis (20yr old) and I am naturally needing to do the thump up grip with the tennis racket, but I haven't seen any pros that use it and all the grips I see no one is doing it... Speaking in terms of physics it makes total sense that using your thumb gives more stabilization and control of the racket and can even increase power of the shot.
Hi Jan thank you for your nice comment. I really appreciate and glad the video helps you. If you have any badminton question, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you very much
I have a question about backhand cross court clear grip, do you still use bevel grip or do you need to rotate a bit more so that your thumb is beside the bevel grip area?
I would recommend still on the Bevel grip and just make your racket head follow through to the cross to finish your swing motion. Thank you for asking. Great question. How we switch between different grips
Usually you would use index finger/ mid finger and thumb to switch your grip all the time while you playing the game. Good question
