Giving you an insight into all things BADMINTON!
Remember you can do the 7 levels in any area of the court you find it difficult to change grips, not just what we show! Also who made it to the bloopers at the end? 😂
Hi, Thanks for the video, It could be nice if you focus bit closer. Please do it for all videos.
Thankyou thankyou, I think you read my comment, I exactly requested for this 😭 love u!
Thank you so much for this video Greg and Jenny, from the past few days I'm not feeling good while I play or I'm just not catching the rhythm while I play, making silly mistakes in every point, but I promise I'll work on it and definitely improve. Take care and see ya 😊
Glad you enjoyed it 😊 Keep practicing, and staying relaxed - you'll get there! 👍🏼💥
Great video as always! Not just the usual rubbish about grip changes, you highlighted nicely their real life application and how you develop it over time to do without thinking :) great practices also - THANKS
Thank you so much! 🤗💥
Lovely, was waiting for this week entry. Thanks for the tips
You’re welcome 😊
SUNDAY! Excited!
😆💥
Awesome video! I was wondering if you guys could make a video on the basics of a badminton game and the nuances between a singles and a doubles game? Thanks Greg and Jenny! 😊
Great suggestion, we will do at some point! Thanks for the comment :D
@@BadmintonInsight you’re welcome! Looking forward to it :)
@@BadmintonInsight would love a video on how to defend a smash pls.
FINALLY I can change my grips better! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome Darren! So glad it has helped :D
Really insightful video guys!!!
Amazing Video! Might practice this more at home when my hands are not busy hehe
Thank you :)
I see you guys a re using the thruster ryuga any thoughts? Maybe a review soon 🧐
Hi Giovani, well spotted 😀 A lot of people have been asking for a review, we'll see what we can do! We have only just started trying it out so would want to test it properly before sharing our views!
Nice! I'm waiting for the review 😁
Nice practice section.. Really amazing video ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Wow, superb! Such an interesting topic to watch
Glad it was helpful!
Are you using new racket
Testing out the new Thruster Ryuga racket from Victor 🏸
Fantastic video,it is been 1month that we cannot play badminton due to covid i.e lockdown
Thank you Dika 😊 Hopefully you can get back to playing soon!
and ya I just forgot to tell o seriously love the sound of the background in the court . I want to play in a indoor court too.
🤞🏼🏸
How do u change grip from a crazy pwrfull smash? Never had time to change grip with ur fingers
Wow superb thank you 🙏🏻
You're welcome 😊
Great one🔥🔥🔥🤘
Thanks 🔥
@Greg, did you change your racket to TK-Ryuga?
I'm just testing it at the moment, we'll possibly do a review on it in the next few months 😀
@@BadmintonInsight Looking forward to it :)
Here it is - ua-cam.com/video/cpMccyDqLsQ/v-deo.html 😃
Bro please make a video on defence
In doubles? We have already done 2 :D
I really like your video. Thanks a lot for sharing.
I know that you guys are double player but is it possible if you make videos about single tactics. Like, where should we serve, how to play against player who runs a lot or player who has good technical skills or how to analyze opponent and change tactics in game. 👍👍
Thank you so much 😊 and thanks for the suggestions!
Thhhhhhaaaaaaannnnnnkkkkkk Yyyyooooooouuuuuuu
You’re wwweeellcoommeee 😜
Fantastic
No. 7 is the most effective
Ive been getting blisters on my thumb recently after fixing my forehand grip. Is this normal? If not what am i doing wrong?
I used to have blisters on the side of my thumb, too, after fixing my forehand grip. After a while they will go away.
@@stevenzhang4761 oh yep thanks
I have to pick up my rack to remind myself how I change grip - it becomes reflex after a while and the brain do not remember how to do it. But why you did not talk about how to change between choke grip (for net play) and back court smashing & clearing grips? The index finger only rotates the grip, you need another technique to choke up or slide back. Why not do a close up on the hand and show how the index finger changes the grip. And since you are talking about grips, why not show all the basic grip - backhand, smashing, drops, snapping, crossing, serving, open, close, etc. I am sure there are tons I do not know.
Is this your own badminton hall
Looks like the National Badminton Centre at Milton Keynes.
^True! 🏸
do i need a hat for the tennis grip?
Haha, it's a luxury not a necessity 😉😜
To be honest, I am having a major difficulty doing a panhandle grip since I can not even understand how to even do it.
Great video. I'm here because I'm terrible at badminton and I'd like to thrash my husband in at least one game one day!! He keeps beating me!! 🤣Watching your videos, I can see that I know nothing about the sport. I just picked up a racket one day and tried playing. No surprise I look like a clumsy grizzly bear on the court. The way you guys move is magical. I strive to get there one day
Like! :)
Thanks :)
As highlighted in the video, it is important to wear a hat when using a heavier racket.
😂
ngl but is that a tennis or badminton racket at 2:13 ?
Another GREAT video... it's certainly shareable !!!!!
Thanks Andy! 😄👍🏼
Noted: One should wear a cap while practicing with a heavy racket :p
Hahaaa!
Didn't expect THAT in the bloopers XD
i just started watching your videos and i find them really helpful. it’s not that i’m saying other content creators are bad but i just prefer your channel. really helpful and straightforward. thank you for everything that you guys have done for all of us who love badminton 🙏🏻
Glad you like them! 😄
That Deception at 06:30 is lit🔥
Haha 😆💥
I love this video so much 😍
Thank you Coaches for showing us those techniques! 🙏😊
I think my games gonna changes in future 😉😁🙈
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Love your videos
Thanks Ashray! 😄
Jenny’s jump smash!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Haha 😆🤪
Hey Guys !! Thank you soooo much for the tips.....I loooove watching your videos always....right now due to lockdown I can't go and play but I have gain sooooo much already to practice once it is possible to play again...yeyyyy
❤️❤️❤️
Finally the video I wished for...... Thanku so much.... U guys are awsm....
Ah thanks Rohan!
still waiting for that smash technique video
👀💥
Nice video. If you don't have a partner, you can practice as follows
1. Alternate Shadow between forehand and backhand
2. Same as 1 but with a heavier racquet like a tennis racquet
3. Hit against a wall
Excellent video! Do you have any suggestion of how to get rid of "bad habits?" I tend to feel comfortable putting my thumb on the wide side of the backhand, but I know I shouldn't do that :(
It is really motivating to see your video before I go to play on weeksends. Above all you both have a great chemistry when it comes to deliver the video content.
Hi
😄👋🏼
Thankyou my fav champions for video...
Most welcome 😊
Hi Greg and Jenny,i am from China and your videos help me so much!
can you explain how to hold the racket in detail at contact point?(like smash and forehand clear )i know we need to hold tight, but how ,i know at least two ways one is index finger is slightly above thumb and the second is putting your thumb right above index finger,i don't know which is right or just depends on which way you feel comfortable😄ཽ😄ཽ
Thank you so much 😊 have you seen our “4 Grips” video?
@@BadmintonInsight yes i had,but i am talking about how to hold the racket when the moment you hit the shuttle, like smash we dont hold the racket tight until contact point, some say we should clench our fist at that moment.May i know whats your view on that? or mayby thats something i take it too seriously haha
Yes don't think about it too much but you should definitely be squeezing your fingers a little!
Great demo, going to practice that!
Yep. i suck at this lol.....thanks for the tips.
Haha! You're welcome Jim :D
❤️
☺️😆
Please make a video on forehand clear, drop and drive
Definitely coming soon!
You guys are Awesome, Dedicated to Badminton Coaching on UA-cam. God bless. Love from India.
Thank you so much ☺️
Sorry but what is her racket name?
VICTOR Thruster BXR 💥
Thank you guys.
Do you notice the difference in this skill even at your (pro) level? E.g. top international vs top country vs top state?
Yes, definitely! You're welcome Anton :)
Great video - also worth a mention about grip size - many players both adult and juniors have put under grips over under grips making the racket grip huge so they wouldn't be able to do any of the grip changes you've shown - quite common to see big grips - its awful
Definitely! Thanks for the comment 😃
Gripping! I needed that on a Queen's Birthday holiday with NO Badminton!
Haha thanks David :D
Can you please sometimes zoom the camera on your finger...
Finally i found the tip. Thanks so much from Vietnam.
Can you review victor thruster bxr??
Is there anything specifically you'd like us to cover?
@@BadmintonInsight i'm wondering it with auraspeed 70
That's what I needed. Thank you both for the tutorial. I love you tutorials.
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you. I needed a training session about grip changes
You're welcome 😀 Hope it helps!
What's on the wall. I don't train because I like training. I train because I like winning. Pllzz help to get this.
doubles player here. i smash (with my grip lower for power) defender pushes to middle and i struggle to do a control shot since i still have my grip is still lower. how to switch to higher grip quickly. ?
Showing finger movements while changing the grips will help
Thank u❤️
You’re welcome 😊
This is awesome content! Thank you very much. keep going❤. No need to ask for subscription though
It seems that Greg is doing the bird delivery service (he even has the cap!) while Jenny is doing the driving.
learn grip and wrist strength old school style, put badminton covers that covers only the head and start pushing or defending an imaginary shuttlecock. Free and efficient.
These Videos keeps us alive🥺
How many days should we practice each level ?
Here we are having tournament in my place. But I'm still learning how to change grips
superb but i also want to know what is your internet and tv times cuz i have a big inbalance with these pls i need your help😣😣
Is the heavy racket is the tennis racket ?
Y wearing the hat? Any reason? 😀
I practice with my wall and I am good in it
Where can i buy the Victor Jersey with the badminton insight logo and trme sports (same as you guys)! Can I order it from TRME sports website? It's my last year here as a student and I think that would be the perfect souvenir for me haha
Hi Haziq! Can you send us an email (contact@badminton-insight.com) and we'll see what we can do :)
This is the one that we need
Indeed🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼
Love from India
😄🏸💥 Thanks Rushi!
A great insight.. as always. Also, need an indepth review on that Ryuga 😀
Thanks 😀 Haha a lot of people have been asking for that, we'll see what we can do! We have only just started trying it out so would want to test it properly before sharing our views!
@@BadmintonInsight oooh very much appreciated ! Love u guys! Keep up the AWESOME work 🤘
Thank you so much! And as you requested we have reviewed the Ryuga in this weeks video, here's the link - ua-cam.com/video/cpMccyDqLsQ/v-deo.html 😃
@@BadmintonInsight ooiii you guys are awesome 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏keep making great vids for us muggles!
I'm so disappointed. Watched the entire five and half minute video and didn't see Jenny demonstrate changing grip in her sleep 💤 😌
🤣 we thought about it…
This video was good and easy to understand.
I request you to make videos on footwork types and the methods to practice it.
Please consider this request.
All the best
Thank you Brian! :) Keep an eye out for that video coming soon!
I face difficult in backhand net kill shot ,plz say some technice
After you mentioned net kills, we've just released a video covering these and how to do the 2 different types 😃🏸 Here's the link if you want to give it a watch - ua-cam.com/video/BIZ6PJ8z5Uo/v-deo.html
Hi. If you don't mind, what's your racket's tension?
30lbs :)
Thankyou soooooo much it was really helpful
You're welcome, glad you found it useful 😊
Hi
How do you apply forearm rotation into your shots??
Fantastic video.. thanks for sharing
