this is how most buildings under 10 stories high are built in America. The reason that wood is chosen as the construction material is that it is a renewable resource in America. We have a large amount of forest area that is cut and regrown for supply lumber for buildings. In Europe, you don't have large areas of forest that you can cut down. So that's why concrete blocks are used in Europe. However, concrete blocks is not more durable than wood. Wood is VERY durable, and is actually more environmentally friendly since it is a way to "store" carbon.
@@whynotwatchem I agree with the first paragraph regarding abundance of forests and renewable. However, concrete blocks are infinitely more durable than wood. No rot, no insect infestation and it can't catch fire.
do you see those houses next to it that are probably 100 years old? They were done the same way. Wooden houses cut costs, are easier to maintain and cheaper to renovate. There are different types of wood materials that service its purpose to protect from water, fire damage. Also very secure in earthquakes and definitely more flexible. So, not saying brick houses aren't safe, just it's a different type of construction that you shouldn't look away without doing some research. To me, wood frame and steel frame should be the norm when it comes to single family houses, small apartment bldgs and commercial property.
How much does this project cost?
How many units?
ecourtneyw, six.
〖๖ۣۜRØoͥ†iͣkͫ〗 well it looks amazing, do you know where can find building plans?
Imagine living to all that noise for 6 to 8 years… It’s gonna drive you up the wall down the dust dirt
years?
I complex like this can be built in 4 months start to finish
👍🏿🤘🏿
they made the entire building with wood.. thats seems very weak to me. in europe generally buildings like this our made with bricks
And not even solid hardwood... ply board...seems so disposable....

Clearly someone has never heard of "5 over 1" construction style....🤦🏻
