Superb video as usual, I've always been wary of doing the springs, when I used to help my mate work on his cars he would say pass me the widow maker when he wanted the spring compressor 😂
I would recommend to take the plastic cover off, under the wiper arms, as on the near side sits the ECU, and the water sits in all the muck, so clean it out, as the water will eat into the ECU and cost me 1,000 just for the part, make the job easier too, but we'll worth it, to clear leaf debris. Ps i have the 1.3 diesel, got to do my n/s
I took wipers off, to paint them. Saw all the rotten leaves/ soil had blocked all the drain holes. The centre one which is quite long was blocked. And there’s two smaller ones one the sides. As you say, the ECU sits in water if these are blocked. Well worth doing. Good tip.
Dam good job, the mot man should of been happy 😀 Those spring compressors looked a bit dodgy, the claws only just goes over the spring. The claw could do with being an inch onger so its harder for them to get off. I have some of those unusual spanners, but mine are fractions of an inch. I hoped those two horizontal bolts were not excentric, they were not 😀
@@razenby Yes it's a good idea to do the other side, but if you are anything like me i have to be in the right mood. Don't forget the bottle of flavoured water while outside. Easy to overlook.
Not specifically although the spring end should be laying in the detent in the support lower collar and the top aligned with the deformation in the rubber left by the other spring.

Thanks. Passed OK and rides better too. I think the other side needs doing soon. It is sitting a little lower.
