Lots of instructional detail. Enables the job to be completed safely by a DIY'r with the correct tools and common sense. Thanks Andy
Perfect guide for me as I have the 2009 Diesel Corsa D. Just as an addition for those watching in 2021 - if you want to correctly torque the two bottom bolts they are 105Nm.
Really useful guide ,mines snapped in exactly the same place, have done springs before but still great to have step by step instructions for this actual model :).
Thanks Ian, appreciate the feedback and hope you get yours sorted
Very clear and detailed:) my corsa D doesn’t need the springs changed yet but after watching this I know what to do now, thanks:)
Superb video mate 👍 I am doing this tomorrow on my corsa. Replacing both front struts. Thanks for the know how 👍
Great info. Did both front coil springs on mine today. First time I've done this and it took me 4 hours. Straight forward to do. Saved loads by doing it myself.
Yes, you've saved £222 (going on Halfordsrip-offprices)
Thanks for a great video Andy. I will be changing mine shortly and my spring broke in exactly the same place as yours. Cheers
Great instructional video! I've also subscribed!
Well executed great info , keep them coming Paul
Great guide Andy, need to do this shortly, thanks for posting 👍
Excellent video. Going to be doing this in the next few days. Thanks
Great video, going to do this to mums car tomorrow
Well done mate...this does the job without ant messing. Very informative - great work!
Great video, helped a lot. Job done. thanks and keep up the excellent work..
Very helpful thanks Andy
Andy very good video my brother in law and me did both struts and springs on my combo van this weekend gone only difference I have a big compressor and air tools make it much easier oh a tip here if the pinch bolts are bent go to Toolstation better than dealers
excellent video
Nicely done - cheers
Thanks for this 👍
Good vid thanks bud
Thanks, nice video.
Should you do anti roll bar while you got them nearly off, save doing at a later day, great video thanks mine went today, price 215 pounds to 254 pounds for pair. Including tracking doing
Thank you
Got a 2013 version of this car that I need to change the front-left spring on. What specs is the spring using that you changed with?. Mine broke the exact same way.
❤❤it good video😊😊
We'll done. Treat yourself to an ice cream.
I just checked, if I was to take my car to a garage they would charge me £260 to do both front coil springs. This looks a fairly simple job and I can get 2 springs on eBay for £40 so better to do it yourself
Hi James, thanks for the great comments. Bear in mind compressing the springs, this takes time and go careful! That's the trickiest bit of the whole job!
Andy Brown yes I understand:) just keep it pointing away from you or anyone else.
I took my tigra to the garage to change front spring and they replaced it 5 times the 1st 2 times to big spring and broke the top mount twice and then put a spring on that was to soft and scrape over speed bump and now they think it's fix just wondering what problems can it cause putting wrong spring
That sounds unusual! Springs can become brittle on extreme cold and hot weather and when shocked hard (heavy speed bumps, etc) but even so that doesn't sound right
Who's Paul ?
But the spring end was a bit*h to get in the notch.
Take that cover off . Makes life ten times easier. Also one can give the drains a good uck out.
Would you recommend buying these springs off eBay ? They are half the price as the ones from eurocarparts
I've bought both and I can't honestly say there is a lot of difference. The Corsa seems to eat springs so cheaper since you end up replacing frequently!
@@junkendriven ive got the manual spring compressors but i heard they are dangerous, i just invested in a hydraulic spring compressor looks soooo much easier and safer
@@jamesmcrory3419 they're not the best, yeah I've used manual and the hydraulic freestanding ones, hydraulic makes it effortless so well worth it especially if you're going to keep doing your own springs on your cars.
Good luck and let us know how you get on
Thermostat housing
Yeah, I made a mistake on the video! Thank you
You forgot to locate the top rim of the gaiter in place before tightening the top nut didn't you? Go on admit it. All of a sudden it was in place, which is impossible to do if you tighten that top nut. You can't kid a kidder!!
haha, I think you're right! It's been a while but watching back good point you make!
@@junkendriven Well said, don't worry I did exactly the same last week when I did the nearside on my corsa! So then it's clamps on again to compress the springs, then put the gaiter in place, all time consuming. But hey, I'm all clued up for when I do the other side!! Kind regards.
