- In this episode, we take a look at the Behringer TM-300 Tube Amp Modeler. This is not a pedal we would typically be interested in but it did solve a problem we were facing today. With the Beard’s wife recuperating from surgery we didn’t want to make any noise while shooting this week’s episode. Check out this episode to find out if the Behringer TM-300 makes that possible.

Intro Track - Burned Another Bridge Down, Slaughterhouse Blues - store.cdbaby.com/cd/shb2
Nice demo, they have some decent stuff like the Behringer VD400 Vintage Delay. Great rockabilly tones with the echo, warm analog circuit.
I would like to check that delay out but haven't been able to find one yet. We checked out their version of the 808 tube screamer a while ago. Put it head to head with a real one... we were surprised! -Beard
great video ! thanks
What else could you buy that could compete with that Behringer TM300 for $25 new. Thank you guys for making this video I think I’ll pick one up it won’t be the worst $25 I’ve ever spent. I believe TM300 with my boss EQ-20 pedal and boss HM-2 i will make some blistering Metal tracks (riffs) straight in to my interface. TM300 will solve the problem I was having recording in hotel rooms.
I agree that it won't be the worst $25 you have spent. That sounds like a good use for it.
At that price point you can't beat it, flawless in the studio, room, rehersal , why not?
Definitely a fun tool to have around.
TM-300 is pluged directly on the interface in the entire video?
Lorenzo Machado Bastos it is... no amps were used that evening.
Use it like a tube amp.
British, hi gain,
Put a overdrive pedal in front of it. Low drive, high level.
Adjust the modeler drive to your liking. You'll get a saturated amp sound. Just like pushing a tube amp with a pedal
Thanks for the tip!
hi, do you recommend for this pedal?
We don't have a lot of experience with pedals like this. For the price though, I don't think you can go wrong.
I am trying to use headphones straight into this pedal, but it only drives the left side for some reason. The jack is stereo...
Any ideas on what could be wrong?
I'm wondering if the out on the pedal is not stereo. Sounds like that might be the case. We had the headphones plugged into the computer so we didn't run into that problem. I did a quick search online and didn't see anything, although some people are using it with headphones so I might be wrong.
the pedals output is mono, afaik (and as it is for most pedals)
I got a cheap mono to stereo adapter and it works great. You can probably get by only plugging your stereo plug in till it hits the sweet spot where it works in both ears, not in all the way, till you get an adapter.
Would that work in an effects loop?
Good question. I think so. I think you can bypass the preamp of the amp that way.
Brian Landreth - you can run the output of the pedal straight into the effects loop return to skip the preamp stage on the amp.
Guys guys guys, this is a copy of a Sansamp, the updated version of the Classic model used by Cobain, Tech21 GT2.
The Sansamp manual would serve better as well as Sansamp gurus on the tube. Its not much of a d.i., better preamp
Does it have cab sim?
It’s been a while but I am pretty sure it didn’t.
@@PJandtheBeard That's a shame. Thanks either way!
So with this pedal I don’t need an Amplifier anymore? I mean I only play with headphones anyway because of the neighbors
It's been a while, but I think that is right. We just did an episode on the NUX Amp Factory. I bit more of an investment, but it might be one you want to look into.
Is the TM-300 analog ?
Not certain, but I doubt it.
Absolutely.
lets get that bacon fried...

If you could care less, how much do you care?
Enough to go direct so there was no noise while my wife was recovering... not much beyond that I guess.
This review is awful. Dude on the left can hardly get a thought out
It’s not a review… it’s like the commenter can hardly read a title. 🤷♂️
Why the hate, bro???
@@Commtech72 I think it is how some people find joy. He has a point, this was right after my wife’s jaw surgery which was crazy. She had to eat through a tube for months. I was having trouble getting a thought out. lol
@@Commtech72 didn't mean to be hateful. This just wasn't my flavor and thought it could of been better. Did fast forward and he plays quite well but in terms of the opening dialog it wasn't doing anything for me and looked elsewhere for a review of this pedal.
@@PJandtheBeard you still did an amazing job I loved the quick look actually way better than a lot of “reviews “ out there , thanks 👌🏾
