It's a really great looking phone, just got mine last week, I'm pretty happy. Coming from the Galaxy S10e (a great little phone, definitely little compared to this new generation), after a week I can say that, for now, it's definitely been running slowly than my previous S-series phone. Bit disappointed in that since the S10e is 3 years old now, but it's not so slow that the phone feels bogged down, just *slightly* more of a delay than before, enough to notice but not enough to irritate (most of the time). It's tough to find the "perfect phone" nowadays: everything comes with compromises. A52 might have the better processor, but it also is paired with a weaker battery life. I might prefer a slight slower UI that can get me an extra 3 or more hours of usage. And the S21 FE seems like a good one that available through carriers still (unlike the A52), but it lacks the SD card that both the A52 and A53 have, which I think is a total ripoff (since these phones rarely go above 256 GB, which just isn't enough space in the long term, much less 128GB). For me, the A53 is a decent middle ground, although if the S21 FE had an SD card, I might have pursued that one instead (especially since my carrier is almost giving it away for free).
Wow you might be a little spoiled, I'm here with a 32GB refurbished Samsung galaxy S7. Haven't used all the internal storage and only have an 8GB SD card in 😅

Same I am currently using a51 and want to upgrade but am torn between a52s and a53. Had no issues with my phone so far it works really well but battery drains a bit faster.
So true. People here r really weird for some reason. They r acting as if the a53 is a good upgrade when it clearly is not. It loses the 3.5mm jack, doesn't come with a charger according to this review, has a slower processor, and the base config. still has 4GB ram, which is bad at this price for such a phone. The a52s is CLEARLY a much better phone. Also, I don't know what has happened to the phone market this year. The long-awaited redmi note 11 pro/pro 5g are trash in most markets, poco x4 'pro' has a worse processor than the standard poco x3, the rog phone 6 is still nowhere to be found (even though rog phone 5 was released in april last year), sony hasn't released the xperia 1 iv an year after the xperia 1 iii's release, brands are choosing the slower sd 680 & 695 over the faster 732G & 778G/780G, and worst of all, there hasn't been a sd 6 gen 1 or 7 gen 1 yet. I think phone market is doomed for the first half of this year. But idiots might still buy such downgraded phones.
My driver bought this a few days ago, and i gotta say the new A53 is disappointing. Now that the A52s 5G is cheaper, it's definitely a much better phone. It still has an audio jack (if that's important to you) and a faster Snapdragon 778. It also comes with an adaptor. It's not a bad phone, but it's subpar for the money that you spend. In my opinion, spending more money to get the Galaxy S21 FE is even better because you get a flagship-grade phone at such a low price. You don't get the adaptor either with this one, though, but this one is in any way a much better phone than the A53.

A52s was not released in many markets. always the main a50, a51, a52, a53 are released in all markets. not the variants. if you have a52s why are you even looking at the next phone. phones dont radically improve year to year.
@@juligjoka6124 Samsung A52 is still a beast from Note 20 Ultra user

If you look closely, it looks like a53 has worse standby time but did better in web and video playback test. But A52s is a better deal phone.
Hi,is this phone any good for taking pictures in direct sunlight.
Is it true that the Exynos Galaxy A53 5G's front and rear cameras have better colours and dynamic range compared to the older Snapdragon A52s 5G? Or has the A52s had updates to its cameras now? Which ones would you guys choose in terms of general camera quality & performance and video recording?
Funny thing is that 90% of the gripes don't matter in reality... 1. Call quality 2. Battery life 3. Data connectivity 4. UI/UX.
Isn't A53 5G a successor to A52 5G and not the A52s 5G? Since there could be an A53s 5G later down the year.
of course bro. but A53 is the same price as A52s, which makes it a bad deal
@@rizdog5735 hardware wise yes, but you pay for an extra year of software updates, which for a person who mostly is in social media and doesn't need hardware meat is a win.
@@analbumfromhell1842 which social media really need for 1 more year update? That is almost the lowest demand task that any phone with any android may do, no need to be the "newest". FB on android 12 is as fine as 11, 10, 9,... so on.
@@MienLeHoang what he meant was he's not into gaming but more like a casual guy and the chipset is pretty decent for that. The extra years of update is good if you will stick with A53 for 4 years or so but personally I'll go for a52s since it still have 3 years of update and enough time for me to upgrade.
@@MienLeHoang Harvey Sarcia explained what I meant very well. I'm a gaming guy myself, i just know that lot's of people doesn't care that much about performance because phone computing power is reaching point where for average consumer there is no big difference between mid-range and flagship chipset. I have Lenovo Legion Duel 2 myself which has showed me importance of software updates. Phone has lots of meat (SD888) and active cooling, but it had no updates and it has quite a lot of software glitches especially regarding os stability.
My only concern is optimizations ........ Low and medium graphics on CODM are too low for the Mali-G68 GPU and i hope the chip gets optimized very soon ..... apart from that the device is very decent and smooth
CODM runs like shit on all phones nowadays though 😩
Bro i play codm on my ipad pro 2020 but i use medium graphics cuz i use ultra fps on the settings it runs better
I received galaxy A53 from my mobile service provider, 2 years ago. I haven't used it at all. Gonna give it to my 7 year old niece, she likes taking pics and making vids. I don't care for things like that.
I'm honestly really disappointed they removed the headphone jack. If I want to upgrade the most I'll get is either the A52s 5G or A72 5G. I still don't really trust Exynos and the removal of charger is a no no for me. Not to mention it's essentially a worse A52s 5G is a big yikes.

Obviously, go with s20 fe if you get snapdragon version, snapdragon 865 is more powerful than 778g or exynos 1280 for gaming and it also has telephoto lens though you can't take portrait photos with it, ..other advantages are better ip rating, wireless charging and better camera system..

The only things missing in this phone and the a52 are PDAF for the front cam (which is kinda not so good for the price) and good haptics. The haptics are just... meh. Only good for notifications.
Hope to see A33 review ASAP because I don't think the A53 is worth compare to A33 in my region.
All is good with A53 worthevery penny but only problem with this handset is the sim slot. Most of the time the sim get stuck inside and we had to visit the service center to get it removed.
Bro Samsung a53 (or) oppo reno 12 pro which one is best?
4 years of Android updates, I wonder how long can the Exynos 1280 hold up before getting sluggish.
Samsung has to do some heavy optimization for this model to last that long.
Yeah really and how much effort are they going to put into optimizing the phone for Android 16 anyways....lol.
Depends how badly they want to compete with Apple. Chromeos now gets 8 years. Google just needs to force it down their throats.
its already a bit sluggish out of the box

Do this phone have the dual messenger function ?
A definite worse deal than last year's model, and as for that Exynos 1280... 🙄

A52s is the phone to go for.
the motorola moto g power 2021 is better than any samsung phone currently out
@@JS96919 sadly, Motorola no longer sells their phones in my country. Our choices are limited to Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Xiaomi, Infinix, Nokia and iPhone. Many brands no longer sell their phones here because the first 5 brands that i mentioned are dominating the market. Asus, despite being a successful brand in my country, also decided to stop selling their phones and are focused on selling laptops. Oppo and Vivo are way more overpriced than Samsung, while Realme and Xiaomi aren't worth the money if you use your phone in a long term. iPhone is sold under third parties, and the new iPhone 13 Pro Max is much more expensive than the Galaxy Z3 Fold, which is Samsung's most expensive phone today.
