I just love this channel. Impressive FUN guitarist, Wonderful teacher! Nice Voice for these jazz standards. My wife promised to get me one of his lesson packages for my 73rd birthday. It’s only 3 weeks away. Can’t wait
Great version. Thanks for creating and posting this. It would be nice to have a pdf of the chord changes, however. It's a little difficult to learn the song by watching the video and pausing now and then to find the chord on the guitar neck.
I didn't realize how important chord inversions are, especially in swing guitar, until your lessons Damian. The G#9th to Gmaj7th ending is really nice. After 20+ yrs of playing, I'm learning all these new chord shapes, persistence! - Joe in CT
After literal decades of pentatonic dad rock, I think I just learned my first jazz song., man I wish I discovered your youtube a lot earlier. Thank you!
Love that tune. First heard the Nat Cole Trio do it. (Loved that group.) It's a good one to sing. I like a lot of Harold Arlen tunes and this is one of the better known ones but there are many others: Stormy Weather, I Got A Right To Sing The Blues, Get Happy, One For My Baby and One More For The Road, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea...
Damian, thanks for keeping this music alive. I bought your dvd’s while back. Have your skull sticker on my laptop. Just brings me lots of happiness always watching your videos.
Excellent cover. Thanks so much for showing us how to play it. I've thought about learning it and then I found your video. Looking forward to getting the chords down. Well done.
One of the most fun lessons I’ve taken in a long time. I’m sure I’ll play around with this a lot too when I’m making up my own riffs and progressions. Thank you
Thank You for doing this lesson!! You are right, it is challenging but I will get it. I came across your site looking for Ukulele chords for this song, now I'm playing it on both instruments!!
Cliff Edwards song.(Yeah the Jimmy the Cricket guy). Never heard of the other versions. World relearned of its existance when the Tatum Oneil film came out. Good job with the cords.

That sounds great, Damian! I've been enjoying your recent Western Swing vids and the examples that you've provided have been quick and easy to learn. This is the first time I've ever tried playing anything even the slightest bit jazz-like, so it's been great for expanding the repertoire if for nothing else than to turn a few heads at the local Guitar Center.
I have been a big fan sir. I am interested in a fully acoustic archtop guitar like yours. Can you advise where can I get a solid guitar like yours in a budget?

many thanks !!!
Great work. Would be so helpful if there was a printable chord chart. Thank you!
¡Awesome Damian! Would you make Sweet Lorraine lesson I would thank you it a lot
The chord charts show "X"s, which usually means "do not play that string". In this case, does that mean "open string"? Thank you!
Hi Christine. The X on the chord diagrams in the video means that you “mute” or don't play that particular string. Thank you for watching the lesson.
Great music why don’t you do a course on this type of music.
I am sure many people including myself would gladly buy it .
Here’s hoping Ben

Hi Garry
I have this guitar strung with a set of Martin Silk & Steel Acoustic Strings. :)
Chords here (most of em coorect the G#dim should be E7) tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/nat_king_cole/its_only_a_paper_moon_chords_1206994
Nice job. BTW, it's a muslin tree, not a Muslim tree.
