@@chrisfinch8637 blah bla bla, priveledge, blah blah blah, suffering, blah blah blah, oppression, blah blah blah, asian immigrants facing discrimination, oh what? They excel, grow wealth, raise their standard, educate themselves, have strong family values, no violence, contribute, yet are discriminated against at every turn. How do they do it, withstand it, conquer the oppression? They florish while others go the victim route. Harvard has to limit the acceptance of Asians. And if they didn’t, the whole school would be Asians. How do they do it even though they face oppression and are even assaulted?
@Chris Finch coming through with some wisdom! Good and true quote from a great writer.
Thank you sister Davis for your sacrifice in the struggle love you always 🙏🌹💯🖤
She’s still a strong beautiful black woman.
Ms. Davis, still fighting the fight.
She don't have to change one word out of her speech back in the 70's, just play the tape, and dated 2022, no one would know the different, nothing have changed.
Such an AMAZING women...
Thank you Mrs Davis for your life long fight for freedom and justice an all around great black woman an the fight still continues may God continue to bless you.thank you
Douglass High School Class of '73 here; Angela is my spiritual big sister, and her generation was a big reason for my Afrocentricity, which has literally saved my soul throughout the years. I have true friends of all races who have not required me to compromise on my blackness in order to be accepted as a human being. To all whites who fear those like me, I would suggest to you to examine your consciences to find where that fear comes from, and come to terms with that fear before you meet God.
I was 18 in 1972 and she scared me a little. Now I appreciate how courageous she was.
That's a Wonderful story...... 🤭
Love her so much ❤
No matter where you're been , no matter where you go, no matter what you have done you will get old one day !
Actually, Dr. Angela Davis was not a member of the Black Panther Party, although she did support them. Just like Mumia wasn't a MOVE member, he was in support of the organization.
THANK YOU MY SISTA, FOR YOUR SERVICE. OUR CAUSE: FREEDOM! CHANGE!
Slavery isn't freedom
May we all make Good Trouble!
The similarities of crimes against Blacks by some in law enforcement from the day of Angela and before and the present, never went away. That is why there should be "Reparations".
Thank you Angela for all you have done for our people! You look great for 78 🤗
A very intelligent person so educated
💐 My most favorite lady I've alwayz admired & respected. Did a paper on her for college: "MOST INFLUENTIAL BLACK WOMAN THAT MADE A MONUMENTAL. CHANGE IN THE WORLD." I made an A. In researching Ms Angela Davis, I learned so much more. AND I HAVE 2 SHIRTS WITH HER IMAGE ON THEM. JESUS CHRIST led Ms Davis to open young minds & learn more of our movement. THANK YOU DOCTOR ANGELA DAVIS FOR YOUR STRENGTH, DETERMINATION, WISDOM, INTELLECT, SACRIFICE, HOPE, & LIBERTY FOR ALL😇👍
Very good leader to look up to
Wow what a brave women you are Angela Davis. Thank you for your service! God bless you always and keep you safe!🙏🏿🙏🏿💖💖
They had the audacity to call Miss Angela Davis a black militant😡
As a young teenager growing up in the early 70s Angela Davis Nikki Giovanni the BLA and H rap brown all inspired me.
No prisons? Come on, Angela! That is absurd. Prison reform is absolutely on the table and there are Federal judges who are joining together to look at alternatives to incarceration--judges who do a powerful voices and can make alternative sentencing happen. In fact, I work with one of them and he is doing amazing work. But no prisons is never going to happen - nor should it. But alternative sentencing can and will succeed. I have known of you since my teenage years and applaud your fight but you need to get up to speed!
I would suggest you look to Bryan Stevenson who has done so much and will continue to further advance the conversation regarding justice for the black community and incarceration. Your message, Angela, seems, at this point, stale.
Right On ! Love ❤ our Shero
She's still beautiful and still bringing forth that energy love you always
Thank you so very much ...Angela ....for using your voice of Courage and Justice
She’s an amazing person.
Family came over on the Mayflower. Owned slaves on mother’s side.
I just love talking to people until they get political, racist and angry. I enjoy peace.
Thank U, infinite intelligence. ♾
Was my inspiration in 1970. Is still a inspiration today. I was 15 then and very impressionable to Civil Rights Human Rights Movement. Even though I was not a young black woman , I am white I knew women of every color every race from any background needed to be heard. She let Me know that it was OK to have that voice of change and to use it.
God Bless You Ms Davis. I'm for you back in the 70s. I'm for you Now in 2022.
Thank you Mx. Davis… 🫶🏾 🖖🏾
She is a Freudian delusional delight! Best of luck to all of us!
Could you expand on what you mean by that statement?
Our prison system needs to move to the Norwegian system. She has dedicated her life to abolishing prison. There is a reason we have prisons. Saying we don't need them is idealistic nonsense.
✨✨✨✨Icon. May we all find our spirit to fight on and on looking to people like Angela Davis!
Well, there hasn’t been much change so id say her effect was dismissible. Same crap different day/decade.
@@joehalliday6081 yet you are on this video giving it time, space, and energy. It seems that you really couldn’t MISS the opportunity to see or discuss an important figure of American History either… I can’t even blame you.
@@ravenc1298 not really little miss arm chair psychologist. Reading dribs and drabs comments like yours helps me fall asleep when I’ve had too much coffee.
Icon, legend, no amount of thanks can be said for the sacrifices you made and the awful things you had to endure...
LoL, how can you be so uninformed to want the tyranny she calls liberation?
You have to love that Afro hairstyle.
I love Angela Davis very intelligent
That's very white of you, how many of your family was blonde by 1865?
A great woman. I saw her at our local YWCA about 15 years ago. Beautiful power. Powerful beauty. ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you so much!
I love her! She's AWESOME
She was the light when I was young. We had no choice to speak out. There protest all the time and I prayed that my uncle and cousin would be safe. Look at what's going on today evil and hatred persist today but out in the open. Now I am praying for all my family and others for their safety. trump made it okay to hate out in the open now they're are taking over our government. What ever happens to us will bleed over to everyone life's. Keep hoping and praying.
I've been seeing people hate openly for years long before Trump was on the radar. How did he make it ok??? 😮
Somebody snitched? You looked so different with straight Hair. How did that happen. God Bless You. All You did.
And all you continue to do.
Well-fed and well paid
Fascinating lady! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I’ve have loved this Woman most of my Adult life, I admire and respect her integrity, the power of hope and your strength has never wavered. Thank you Ms. Davis
Right on ❤❤❤
She will always be an Inspiration!
Angela Davis. Amazing Woman Right Here From Oakland.Ca 💯🙂💯
Legend. God bless Angela!
Very brave woman!!!
Why are you giving the Prejudiced woman recognition? Read up on her!!
No. You are prejudiced
It's good to see you Angela. I recall when we were all young, beautiful, energetic, and idealistic. We're old sages now. But, the fires of change still burn in our hearts.
Yes! We remember your courage.
Age doesn't make you less beautiful. Not you. Not Dr Davis. That's just cultural programming in a world obsessed with youth (or at least young appearance).
Stay beautiful and strong 🖤
No change is possible without JESUS!
Always Stand Up!💞💯🙏🏾🙌🏾💯
Miss, this is a McDonald's line. Would you like cheese on your burger?
I wonder if people consider that African Americans are police cheifs, police officers, mayors, doctors, lawyers, teachers, congresspersons, great musicians and entertainers..all walks of life..It seems to me a lot of progress has been made..and it also seems this is largely disregarded...
Amen 🙏
Can they get away with abuse of power like sexual assault on whites?
John, it would have been a lot more than that if generational wealth had not taken away from some high achieving black people like it was from the people who lived in Tulsa, OK in 1921. The people who lived there had everything destroyed over night by envious white people.
@@yvonneplant9434 Yes..its horrible...I just try to find inspiration from the good people of the world...go forward and let love light the way....
Agreed ❤ some live in the ideals that they had to fight with in their youth and never acknowledge the progress that was made. Thank god she did what she did but I wish could some light.
Angela Davis is black power ✊🏾
Greetings while living in Ghana west Afri my at that time my empress had the honor of being Queen Davis vegan chef. She was the main speaker at women's conference in Ghana. RASPECT!!
Preach sister Preach amen 🙏 amen 🙏 there no such thing as color peace 🙏
My❤ MOTHER❤...REST IN PARADISE. During the early 60's purchased some books from a door to door salesperson......I was introduced to ❤Ms Angela Davis as a young girl upon picking up 1 of the books and reading. I asked questions and My ❤Mother❤ throughly spoke on many things.
Don’t agree with her Marxist philosophy, but she got the last laugh on Ronald Reagan by teaching at a UC Institution.
That was her patronage reward from the regime
Was it ever explained how Jonathan Jackson got Angela's guns?
WHY ARE PEOPLE COMMITTING CRIMES?.🤬🤬🤬
Ms. Davis, It’s good to see you so very well. Born and raised in San Francisco I both recall your message, spirit, soul and smile. This kid still thinks you’re the best Ms. Davis.
Hail to the Queen Mother of the Revolution!👏🏾🙌🏾✊🏾
I still have my "Free Angela Davis" button from the early 70's.
A Mentor. ❤️
HER TRUTH WHICH IS THE REAL TRUTH! IS STILL SO VERY SORROWFUL NOW THE EXACT SAME TRUTH!!
Side fun fact..Angela's brother Ben Davis played cb for the Cleveland Browns
Thank you ms Davis I grew up knowing your name and you doing what was good for all keep up your amazing work
Class of 72, She was my SHERO , it was also my nick name in high school, I might add my afro looked much like hers. My class mate was the sister of Papa Ricks who was a member of the Black Panthers. We all looked up to her, she represent change. Love you for all that you did.
The struggle for the rights of blacks that this woman has been waging all her life is heroic
Love you Angela Davis, i was at the project in Los Angeles, California the cops chased her there i think it was between the late 60's or early 70's at that time the hippies was in action back then also money was everywhere back then America was the place to go to but not anymore..
