Excellent job -and greetings from Michigan. I was hoping to build a smoking room in our house, we have 31 rooms, so it’s a large place. The air handlers unfortunately will spread any residual smoke. I tried a room in the basement (with 6 hepa filters), but no power venting. Didn’t really work. So I’m looking at the garage as it’s heated by a boiler system. I really like what you did with the venting. Prior to this I’ve been going out to the screened in porch with a heated winter suit and a UV heat lamp. That’s fine, but I feel like an astronaut 🧑🚀 with a cigar. I think the vented smoking tent as you have it set up is a grand idea !
31 rooms sounds like a really big house!! I am still using this setup and like it. Having the boiler heat in the garage sounds nice given the sub-zero temps we had this year. Good luck and enjoy your cigars.
That's the same tent I have. I use a small clip on fan that you can plug in and clip it to the "window " to exhaust the smoke without losing a lot of heat. I got the fan off Amazon I believe it's an 8 inch fan. I also set mine up in my garage
I have a smoking room with two 12” AC Infinity fans venting the smoke outside. It’s a nice setup and there’s essentially no smoke going in the house. I knew it was going to be cigar friendly when doing the re-model and made sure there was no cold air return in the room.
That sounds nice!! I would love to have a spare room that I could setup as a cigar lounge, but my house isn't big enough, thus the tent in the garage :)
Appreciate that suggestion. I did look at some of the Rabbit Air options but were a little out of my budget. Nice that it is portable and self contained .
Much as I like to smoke cigars, if you take away clean air and a good atmosphere, I kinda don’t want one. Sitting in a 5’ cube tent - even if you could clean the air - would be a pass for me. I’m lucky to have relatively mild winters where it doesn’t stay too cold for too long. But I think my answer to the winter problem would be dropping by my local cigar lounge 1-2x a week in colder months. Or creating a dedicated room in my house with in-line fans and powerful air ionizers.
I can appreciate that approach and for years, I simply did not smoke any cigars in the winter time . Then I saw some videos on cigar tents and decided to give it a try.
Yes, I use one of the windows. The window flaps are held up with velcro so I cut a piece of cardboard to cover the window - cut a hole in the cardboard for the hose to pull thru and applied velcro to the cardboard to hold it in place. Works quite well. Inside the tent, I use straps to hold up the hose using the tent poles along the top of the tent.
no filter can keep up, smoke must out, ever seen a korean grill where every table has a grill and thus have its own flexible pipe sucking in the smoke? thats what you need, or a small canopy above your seat with a regular pipe and vent sucking in smoke and shooting it out, out of tent out of garage, not even buildings may handle rigorous smoking let alone a filter..
I tried this exact method about 3 years ago. Same tent, except I set mine up out on the patio. I also wound up moving to the Inline duct fan. I cut out one of the vents in the top of the tent and mounted the fan in it. It was not a success. I did not add any vent hose to the fan however, do you think the vent hose makes a big difference? I also never purchased an ozone generator. My setup without any vent hose still left me smelling like I rolled around in a giant ashtray for an hour.
Not sure that adding the vent hose would make a big difference. Not sure there is a way to avoid getting the smell on your clothes. No different than smoking in a ventilated room. My goal was to keep the smell out of the garage which does work. For my clothes, I wear a smoking robe that I can leave in the tent to air out with the ozone generator.
The turn that one around and made it into a C coffee aparatus spanner on the left then deployed popcorn goggle as mouth with arrow on the bottom lip facing down with the black and dark grey merc situation
Robotic arm deployed from darkness cover to give darkness left coffee ear after the bathroom shower failed to contained then bought it down to the kitchen 😭😂
This video deserves more likes. Very cool ideas and way of problem solving. Happy smoking!
Glad you enjoyed it. It is one thing I am looking forward to this winter as it worked really well last year.

Masterclass in building...im rethinking my tent, heater and fan😊
Great video! I use to have a garage cigar lounge but I have moved and now looking for an backyard option. This gave me some ideas👍🏾
Good to hear. Nice to be able to enjoy some cigars year round.

Look into stealth grow tents and how they deal with the smell, you can do a lot with a carbon filter
Rabbit Air A3 would of been one and done for ya and it’s very portable that can use it anywhere and inside your house too

I smoke in my garage with heaters surrounding me I just open the door all the way and air it out when I’m done
How do you secure the hose to/in the tent? Did you use one of the cutout windows or something else? Thanks!

14:05 The Final Solution lol

How’d did the new system work out? Didn’t get to see it in action.
The in-line duct fan works really well and is what I use for my final setup.

Downside. Heat loss in the winter.
I have a solution. Get divorced!
Why too go
Why would an adult man smoke in the garage of his own house?
Because he is considerate of others and sometimes just wants a space to enjoy a cigar in solitude.
Because he’s not the king of the castle
Because I like smoking but I don't want my house smelling like I like smoking.
