Yeah!!! Disney has literally come up with many different ways to profit with star wars with the movies, and YET they have NEVER seriously considered the original versions of the OT.
Back when they bought SW there were rumors going around that Lucas kept the original editions so they'd never be released. That sounded like BS to me at the time but Abrams did recently say that there were legal reasons for the originals not being released by Disney, so it might be true.
Personally I think that for the discs they should have put pictures of the most iconic scenes from the movie: Phantom Menace: Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan side by side with lightsabers Attack of The Clones: The scene with the clones or Yoda vs dooku Revenge of The Sith: Obi-Wan vs Anakin on mustafar A New Hope: the Death Star or a close up of Obi-Wan The Empire Strikes Back: Luke vs Vader Return of The Jedi: Vader burning or the ghost Anakin, obiwan, and Yoda The Force Awakens: Han’s hand on Kylo’s face The Last Jedi: Luke grabbing his lightsaber The Rise of Skywalker: Sidious using his lightning
I’m so happy Lucas put the scene with anakin looking into the camera to show us the sith eyes and him enraged. It just showed us a glimpse of how powerful he would be if he didn’t have his suit. It makes me so mad kylo ren never had sith eyes
I was in jr high when that first movie came out. Yuma, AZ was on the early list for showings because so much filming was done at Buttercup, and so many Yumans were extras. Such a cool time...

I have enjoyed all the films, I find the story line to be believable Luke becomes a wise and powerful Jedi but loses his faith after the loss of his nephew to the Dark side....he then acts as Obi Wan did knowing he can be more use and more powerful to become one with the force and guide Rey. To each their own but I love them all. Are they perfect? Nope but I am satisfied with the ending. I also can’t wait for the High Republic stuff coming out to see what they do with it. The only film that was no good and had zero impact on the story is SOLO.
Appy Ammer IMO you just explained exactly why it worked, you are right it wasn’t in his character which is what made it all the more powerful a story, if Luke could lose his way then how will anyone truly defeat the Sith! To me it was a powerful plot twist that remedied itself as most knew it would. However that’s just how I feel you are entitled to continue to dislike the new Star Wars movies....I’ll continue to love them, cheers
I wish they'd remaster the original ORIGINAL versions of A New hope, Empire and Return. I will also view all of the films as canon. Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars film but I also let it be known I’m a huge fan of The Last Jedi. The reasons people disliked it were the very reasons I liked it.

If you put any Jedi crystal (any color besides red or black) in a Sith holocron, you just get Palpatine. I don't know what you get when you put a Sith crystal in a Jedi holocron though.
I personally believe the disc art could have been better, like with the original movies with the movie poster esque type art on the discs, that would have been cool
I really hope there's a lot of bonus content on those discs. I was really disappointed in the 9 disc box set released a few years ago... the bonus stuff was so skimpy; they left out tons of stuff that was released before. If this is the ultimate Star Wars Skywalker Palpatine Saga then it should include EVERYTHING.

Nice set. Not surprised though it once again doesn't include theatrical cuts, only the latest Special Editions as seen on Disney+. I know certain OT fans wish they only released the theatrical cuts on Blu-ray/4K cuz they hate the Special Editions as well as the PT and ST. Unfortunately for them, they're always gonna keep releasing Special Edition versions. For me personally, I too prefer the theatrical cuts, but I also like the Special Editions too as there's more changes I like than those I don't. Plus I enjoy the PT and ST too. Sometimes I'll either watch just the OT in their theatrical cuts or watch the whole saga with the Special Editions. What would be great is if they released a new OT boxset that contained all versions of each movie. 70mm/35mm of theatrical cuts (as Lucas was already tinkering with them when they first went out) as well as various Special Edition releases. And maybe the same with the PT too as they also had edits made. Not sure about the ST though.
Ya I mean I already knew it was going to be plastic sleeves from the image best buy showed since I own the DC animated universe 30 movie collection and it's exactly in the same book format with plastic sleeves.... REVENANT KING that's the problem with a lot of these collections they do while the series is still going. They'll release everything up till that point in that new edition but when the next one comes out, they don't make a version that fits with the rest of the series
The last movie in the franchise was a bit disappointing to me. So I probably would not buy this at full price but maybe if it goes on sale for half off someday I'll pick it up.

Hey James I really tried to get the rise of Skywalker download but my video stoped right before u put up the code. But that's ok we can't all be winners, it was fun trying to win my heart was thumping out of my chest lol. I love star wars alot since my dad got me into it when I was a kid. I'm trying to save up to get a ultrasaber but with the viris going on our baseball stadium that I work at is closed until further notice so that's not happening anytime soon but maybe one day.

Yeah but if you think about it, he did in different reasons. In ROTJ, he tosses it away to prove that he is a true jedi, because a jedi only attacks if its a last resort. In TLJ, he tosses the lightsaber because he believes in order to save the galaxy, the jedi must end.

There is no point buying this or any of the new individual releases because there is no new special features and I already have the movies on blu ray.

u can play DVD on a DVD player you can play Blu Ray and DVD on a Blue Ray player or you can play Blue Ray , DVD and 4k on a 4k player

The disc were difficult to take out when I had it delivered to me I opened it up and I tried to take the disc out but it was tricky taking it out
