Thank you for the video Dave. This caller has been a good hard worker and is almost debt free. He is fortunate to be working as a Federal employee to still get paid and to have an employer that may understand and honor him being in a higher risk category. Many employers do not really have to show compassion to high risk workers in our current employment system, and many haven't. Alverto Ortega-Garcia Many infectious diseases exist and we pass them around all the time. The media has done a very, very poor job of covering COVID-19 by inflating fear and a lot of misinformation. I am one of the at risk people and I do not expect others to stay at home to protect me nor do I want them to stay at home. The people who should stay home are people like me. I encourage you to look break down the numbers and see where most of the deaths are occurring and where they are not. Remember that the lockdown was started to slow the spread so the health care system would not be overwhelmed. Lockdown will NOT get rid of COVID-19, it just spreads out the deaths over a longer period of time. The same number of people die, but not in as short a time span. The people who instituted the lockdown did not give thought to an exit strategy.

Hi Dave Ramsey. I’m currently looking forward to buying a piece of land in California worth $5,000 for 1.25 acres. I want to know what buying a piece of land here implies. Yes I do want to build our dream home in the future. Before I get to buying and building I want to know everything that this implies. In my perspective I see it more cheaper than buying a built home.
🤔 ... OMG....do u actually believe Dave reads UA-cam post? 🙄
Call in during the live show, he quit reading posts because of all the mean and childish comments a good while ago, but he would talk to you.
Timothy Augustine thank you so much i did not know about the comments I barely started watching his UA-cam videos but it makes sense to not read the comments. Thank you very much 🤩
A land in California for 5k? 1 acre? You cant even buy your own gravesite in California for that price. Are you high?
sam hawkz lol no I’m not high I was as surprise as you are when i found out for the exact same reasons, but look it up on Zillow it is $5000 for 1.25 acres in apple valley California. It’s far like 2-3 traffic hours from Los Angeles. But the town is good and the people are very nice.
I have a unique question how/when/where do we call in?
Thank you
Better than I deserve
I've never heard someone acknowledge, much less validate the perceptual experience of another person who has gone through trauma...I'm not even certain what to do with that...Due to my own experiences, I just came to accept that it was virtually impossible for people who haven't been through something traumatic to understand much less frame the consequences of those experiences in a more neutral light...I'm going to have to rethink some things...
If you don’t feel comfortable going back to work then you have a choice, it’s a free country
how do we get on these calls?

Michael Longoria thanks!
Of course!
Wth are people asking him for health advice? This guy only deal with finances.
everyone is willing to lose people during this pandemic but as soon as it is someone close to them or that exact person gets it.. they regret it
What's there to be scared about? There will always be a virus. I'm 61, diabetic, and have sinus issues. I'm working, shopping, etc.
Who can answer this question FOR you? You know your medical problems. Most doctors are not going to give you that kind of definitive advice. You have no debt outside of your home and receive a pension if you can live on that and are fine with living on that do it.
Michele Nichols I couldn’t possibly agree with you more!! I’d never recommend anyone throw in the towel on work either, but he deserves every bit of our tax dollars for being willing to pay such a price for us! I agree with you also that work is so essential for the spirit!
Truth is he doesn't need to work. He gets a pension and a VA Disability check. I'm a disabled combat veteran myself.
Mr. Geczel Rivera thank you for your service!! You are so valuable to all of us! May I ask, are you earning enough to live on? I truly hope so. You deserve it
@@jill9606 yes i am. And thank you for your kind words. Let me clarify, if he is retired, he gets 2 checks. If he didn't serve 20 years or more he only gets a Disability check. So I may be wrong about him.
Michele Nichols well, it’s been hard for people to make plans, based upon the information provided. It is a novel virus. We’ve gone through stages of being told masks are only for medical personnel, that it’s “OK” as long as you’re deemed essential, etc. I’m sure there are many people caught between being named “essential” that are simply store clerks, who are simply caught up in the decisions of their employer and their need for money, but didn’t sign up to be considered “essential” for the pay they’re receiving, as if they’re medical personnel.
It’s time to put your big boy pants and go back to work.
Wait a second! Dave's video had Dave Ad for Will Writing... so confused.
The lazy man says, “There is a lion in the road! A fierce lion is in the streets!” - Proverbs 26:13 NKJV
Maurice might be eligible to get income through the government if he’s too sick to work. He’ll probably need something from the doctor though.
Great video as usual! Would love to see Dave consider crossposting videos to lbry as google, UA-cam etc continue to censor free thought!
I am not at all afraid as long as I am able to maintain 6 feet distance and do not touch my face unless I have thoughly washed my hands. 6 feet and basic hygiene. I have to say when at the grocery store people continue to cough and then oops and cover their mouths. BASIC hygiene is not being practiced. People are still eating finger food on the run. Gross
Did he live?
I found a second job during this lockdown , if you’re young and healthy stop living in fear and get out their and boost our economy, the longer the lockdown the longer the long term effects
StoneyMaloney that’s why I emphasized young and healthy , you expect 20yos with no underlying health issues to keep hiding at home while collecting federal aide?
Alverto Ortega-Garcia being selfish is relative , I see it as selfish to stay locked in collecting a check while small business owners lose what they’ve work for their whole lives for and the world Economy tanks and large scale famine takes place ( broaden your worldwide scope ) this lockdown is hurting more than helping
The people who instituted the lockdown did not give thought to an exit strategy.
koprowsk nice breakdown, we’ve lost the plot of flattening the curve and changed it to let’s hide until there’s a vaccine ( which isn’t feasible if you want to have a country to return to)
@@D.Boon1 Small business owners, and big business, etc. all should have had an emergency plan and emergency fund in place to weather this type of storm. If Dave expects us all to have a 3-6 month emergency fund, why doesn't that apply to businesses as well? If you worked on something your entire life and lost it because of 2-3 months of downturn, that's because you had no back up plan and would have lost it in whatever emergency came up.

Penguin1290 If you feel that going back to work is more dangerous than driving without a seatbelt you should stay home.

I'm federal, been at work the entire time, not sick. Go back to work, social distance and wash your hands. Nough said.
Do you have COPD or other chronic conditions?
You missed the entire point of the phone call. The caller has a medical condition which makes him a high risk candidate for potentially dying if he gets covid-19.
@@jpdst29 I didnt miss the point, if he's worried stay home. If not, then go to work and wash your hands. Simple.
@@gamerji-li4755 Nope, if hes worried because a chronic condition I dont think you need to call to ask a financial guys opinion, I think common sense says to stay put for a bit longer.
@@Mc.flyyy11 But that isn't what your original comment said. You didn't give him an option originally...you clearly said "go back to work". Your came off pretentious and aloof ...sort of like "i'm a federal and I'm working and I'm fine...so why aren't you???"
Trust in Jesus not the media
I was gonna attack him, but If he's got COPD he needs to be careful.
COPD or not, why would you attack someone because they are fearful for their life in the first place?
@@Josie3387 Great question. There's nothing wrong with being afraid; people's emotions and feelings are valid, even if someone else doesn't understand or agree.
Why can't people be allowed to prioritize their health and safety?
@@gamerji-li4755 thought he was just irrationally fearful. COVID 19 is really only dangerous to the vulnerable, of course some people who are young and perfectly healthy may get it and die similarly to the flu. But he had COPD so he's justified.
@@djpuplex There is still a chance then for those without chronic illnesses and such and they may know people close to them that died or suffered severe health problems from covid, so that can increase the emotional response to it. There has been a lot of young and healthy people that died local to where I am from covid and as someone who is at higher risk with chronic illnesses, it adds to my fear and I can completely understand where this guy is coming from.

Anyone here in the comments had or known someone who has died bc if this virus?
I know of 8 people in NY that have died. All from NY. Fathers/Mothers/Grandparents/Wives of my family and friends. My heart and prayers goes out to all of them. NY is absolutely on a diff level compared to the rest of the country. Clearly a different strain of the virus (from what I understand it's the one that came from Europe).

To be clear, if there was no media, you'd have zero info to protect yourself at all and this thing would be completely off the rails. What you should be recommending is being more discerning about which media to consume and on what grounds. To live without facts or knowledge about anything? Just be discerning for goshsakes. "Media" is providing an essential service. It's how you absorb and use it that makes the difference.

You commented without watching the video. Unlike some lazy people he's actually legit.
Seriously, there are actually people out there afraid for their lives because they are at high risk of complications from covid. I'm one of them, but fortunately I am able to work from home. A lot of people also can't afford to pay for hospitalization if they get severely ill...
This is our new normal, we just have to do what we need to do.
What is a new normal? Dirty local demorats locking down the state like it's the walking dead so they can take away your rights and liberties like the dirt demorats they are?
Dave Ramsey just lost all credibility, bowing down to mainstream media and believing the lies.
You mean the lie that people with lung conditions such as copd are at higher risk to have more severe symptoms?
Copd is one thing worth noting and I apologize. I'm stressing the fact of how mainstream media is blowing this out of proportion. They are simply LYING. If you're ok with that, go jump.
UA-cam Veterinarian Ah sorry. I just reread it. I will delete it.
And what is the lie? That corona is killing people with chronic illnesses and such? Maybe it hasn't effected your circle of friends and family, so it is easy to pretend it's fake... but there has been deaths in my friends' families from covid and many people are truly at risk.

The first thing he should worry about is his thinking ability, because not for ONE SECOND he stopped to think this whole deal with the corona is EVEN TRUE and who and what and from where it all began and how most people ACT like a horde of SHEEPS when their masters yell at them they move in that direction without question.
