    People who don't have the best of health overall, people who have been directly affected by this thing or people who have family members or people they know affected by this thing will/should feel some apprehension/fear. Regardless of economy, regardless of social pressures, media etc. Its very simple to understand that. Whats stupid is hearing people who haven't been affected, don't know anyone close/personal who have been affected yet and still they have a boatload to say about what others should do/think/feel; ridiculous. I'm not saying this is DR at all by the way, Dave Ramsey is very compassionate and understanding. A wise person told me no matter how smart or common sense thinking someone may be there are things that people will have no idea about unless they been through it themselves or been through via a very close family member. Crazy world we live in today smh

    Dictionary definition: "Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs. Symptoms include breathing difficulty, cough, mucus (sputum) production and wheezing." As others have pointed out, this puts you at high risk for COVID-19.
    Please stay home, my friend. Take care of your health. You won't be doing yourself of other people any good if you kill yourself or become stuck in a hospital hooked up to a ventilator for the rest of your life.

    Thank you for the video Dave. This caller has been a good hard worker and is almost debt free. He is fortunate to be working as a Federal employee to still get paid and to have an employer that may understand and honor him being in a higher risk category. Many people with underlying conditions are being pressured back into work, because they are no longer allowed unemployment for refusing to go back to work. Many employers do not really have to show compassion to high risk workers in our current employment system, and many haven't. The added risk might be small, but it is additional risk that should be considered and not dismissed.

If he is truly not capable to work, his Dr. would have given him a referral to a specialist and also give him a letter to bring to HR telling them that he is not fit to go back to work because of his condition. I believe the gentleman's fear is to go back to actually work or it could be something that needed a physician's attention. Alverto Ortega-Garcia being selfish is relative , I see it as selfish to stay locked in collecting a check while small business owners lose what they’ve work for their whole lives for and the world Economy tanks and large scale famine takes place ( broaden your worldwide scope ) this lockdown is hurting more than helping

    • @koprowsk
      @koprowsk 4 роки тому +1

      Alverto Ortega-Garcia Many infectious diseases exist and we pass them around all the time. The media has done a very, very poor job of covering COVID-19 by inflating fear and a lot of misinformation. I am one of the at risk people and I do not expect others to stay at home to protect me nor do I want them to stay at home. The people who should stay home are people like me.
      I encourage you to look break down the numbers and see where most of the deaths are occurring and where they are not. Remember that the lockdown was started to slow the spread so the health care system would not be overwhelmed. Lockdown will NOT get rid of COVID-19, it just spreads out the deaths over a longer period of time. The same number of people die, but not in as short a time span. The people who instituted the lockdown did not give thought to an exit strategy.

What you should be recommending is being more discerning about which media to consume and on what grounds. To live without facts or knowledge about anything? Just be discerning for goshsakes.
