      Very true. This call proves what Dave Ramsey always talks about is correct. ALL debt has stress attached to it. So even 15K in cc debt can stress out someone who makes 70K a year. No matter how strong the chains are, you are still a slave and it affects you mentally and physically when you have debt.

      The problem with credit cards 💳 once you fall behind on one

    Dave saved me big time. Snowball/Avalanche I had never heard about or even bothered to research. All I knew was that I was $101,000 in credit card debt and loans. I challenged myself and started on the highest interest rates. That was 2021 and today I still owe 15k but it’s all zero interest until I pay them off.

    It's sad how difficult things have become in the present generation. I was wondering how to utilise some money I had. I used some of it for e-commerce business, but that sank. I'm thinking of how to use what's left to invest, but I don't really know which way to go.

      @MarcyLoccy 2 місяці тому

      I understand how you feel. It's a little bit difficult to navigate things these days. You don't wanna lose whatever is left. I may suggest that you find a financial advisor who could give you thorough advice on how to go if you want to go the investment route. Also, the fact your business failed doesn't mean you should give up.

      That's right. I have tried many failed businesses and it's just a step further. Don't despair. I learnt this from experience before finally finding one I can stick with. Now I make six figures from my investments alone, and even more from my businesses.

The numbers sound about right on that. If that's the case, Tito could have gotten their insurance company to duke it out with the hospital. Possibly still could. People are really harsh. You don’t know the details of why people are in the difficult situations they are in. I wasn’t raised to know anything about budgeting, meal planning, how debt works etc. I had to learn and learn and learn again. The hard way. I also have a rare genetic disorder that makes things harder for me than most people. Not everyone is blessed with the same knowledge and abilities that you have and a little grace towards others goes a long way.

    I wonder if he could go to a debt consumer counseling and get the interest stopped and pay them off for 24 months. I don't know if they do that in Texas , they do that in California. That's what they did with me. Actually I have never heard Dave talk about Credit Consumer counselors and just realized that. Although it was a long time ago I had around 4000 in credit card debt , went to their agency and they had all my interest stopped and charged me 171 for 2 years and my debt was gone. I don't know if they still do that but it was like 20 years ago. Prevents bankruptcy but they told me it does put a notation on your credit report and you can't get any new credit for 2 years while your in the program. But they get rid of your interest charges. So I really was pleased with it.

Should anything happen to either one of them (injury, job loss, etc.) their house will be foreclosed in short order. Married working people should buy a home based on the higher of their two incomes, not the combination of the two incomes. That way, they're not left high-and-dry if something happens.
