How do you know he didn't stop just past the camera's view? Trucks don't stop on a dime. (I'm not saying he did stop -- this video doesn't show enough either way, and I haven't seen other reports -- I'm only saying not to judge the drive based only on what you can see from this one angle.)

A two car crash and maybe 2 cop cars.. in a chase, after the car is pitted, there will be a couple dozen cops cars, all waiting for their chance to lay hands on the driver who may not even be able to move .. then they all standing around for an hour afterwards talking about donuts.

a lot went into that, truck driver not using his mirror, car dicking off next to the truck. the left lane is for passing, not driving in.
This is why it's safest to drive with the flow of traffic regardless of the speed. The slowpoke that got rolled was causing congestion.
