40x70x16 and I will be putting a 22’ shed off the back after I put the siding and roofing on. Started back working on it this week and I will be doing weekly updates now.
Where you at in Alabama? Which company did you use for your material. Huntsville, AL here and trying to find me a setup sorta like this and need a little info to figure out a good company to go with.
The building kit came from Alabama Steel in Montgomery. I am in Cusseta. Customer service ain’t what it used to be but I have no complaints from ordering this kit.
Randall, I'm in Athens Alabama and would suggest either a Reeds Metals building or Bigsbee or Inland. All are local. I get my building materials from Reeds in Florence. I'm building a 76x125 right now and just ordered more purlins and everything from Reeds today for another 1700 sq ft.
I hope you mean hang the steel and sheet it / trim it out. I have been erecting buildings and doing industrial sheeting and standing seam for 35 years. I was actually employed by NCI Building systems (Biggest PEMB manufacturer in the world) for almost a decade, during which time I designed a lot of the weathertight warranty details and re wrote installation manuals for 34 panels, including all of the through fastened. (A, R, U, M, C, D etc). I am glad you pointed out the purlin / girt thing before I did. That is something that drives me crazy, and always has, when I am looking over a potential job and the owner or owner's rep keeps pointing at the girts calling them purlins.... But, for guys doing it themselves, they're not doing bad. "Make up then tighten up" would make their lives a lot easier. I didn't watch the whole thing. Anyway, keep hanging and banging - Brothers of the hook.
This explains how it goes together way better than other vids
Thank you sir
Love this! Love watching the progress on the building, and anxious to see the celebratory finish. Great work!!
Thank you. Slow but steady and as cheap as possible 😎😁👍
Glad to see it came together! What size I-beams are used in your building?
What is the LxWxH and what is the size of column?
This is a 40x70x16 and I think the columns are 12”x12” fabricated, not H or I beams.
Thank you
Wow!! Nice man , where did you order your building?? I'm looking for the exact same size, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks. Finally starting back on the build so updates will be posting regularly again. I ordered my kit locally from Alabama Steel. Good luck 👍
