I'm sure you won't see this comment but if you do you should put First Gen 5.9L Cummins injectors in it. I had a 2003 TDI ALH with those injectors and it was insane. The spray angle and everything is almost exactly the same and the stock motor, pump, turbo, and clutch can handle it fine. I had about 20000 miles on mine before the death of it when I tried to fit an HX-35 turbo to it and couldn't fix an oil leak. The injectors were amazing. You will see about 30 psi sustained out of the stock Garrett and the car will be so freaking fast. It's night and day difference. With the injectors alone my car ran a 14 sec 1/4 mile which is slow for most things but a stock TDi runs about a 23 second 1/4. Fuel mileage will drop to about 20 though lol and you gotta watch EGT's but that combination will smoke out an entire highway (I have done so I know) on a full throttle pull. I have videos if you guys want to see. I don't have too many though unfortunately
Not to mention those injectors WILL throw you back in your seat. If I remember right it is like a 150% increase in fuel.

And remember, that video was with no load on the car. It's about 4 times as much when its under any type of load

i had a map fooler in my old powerstroke, same concept. The check enging did come on, but when you switched it back to stock it would turn off in about 2min. Volkswagen may be totally different, but thats my knowledge.

This is retarded. More fuel needs more boost to burn right. Big trucks spew coal until their turbos spool up and produce enough boost to burn the extra fuel. Black smoke(coal) is Unburnt or partially burnt fuel. This can also increase EGTs.

Running rich making higher EGTs can crack your head, destroy your head gasket, destroy your turbo, etc. But yeah you'll roll coal, SOOT which is terrible for the environment but it looks cool so it's all G.

still doesn't add up more fuel means you need more power to burn it the coal they are blowing out the pipe is wasted gas . so how is unused gas that is dumping out you're pipe more power ? most trucks that roll coal have a tune for it to roll coal along with more power being added . seems like they are dumping fuel into a motor that can't burn it off thus why is bogs down when they flip the switch. to much fuel not enough of it burning off thus also why it dumps coal .
phil Glenn bub you just contradicted your argument. if hes dumping more fuel even if hes coaling some out. the computer will attempted to fix the air to fuel ratio. He also has a no restriction on his air flow. more air and fuel = more power. simple.
Jacob Gay I under stand what you're saying but by doing this would the car just run a code due to just the ecu trying to figure out the problem with the addition of all the extra fuel? I do see that this car is running a code already hahah so I guess f it right ? I'm just trying to make sense of how it would would with out jacking up the ecu .
phil Glenn the ecu will slightly change what ever it has to for the best performance at the ability the ecu has. if he got a tune. it would be even better. the codes probably just an evap code. pretty common on vws... you just live with it doesnt really effect anything.

Correction: More fuel + more air = more power. Smoke = wasted power. If you have either too much fuel or too much air, its wasted power. A clean, fast diesel will smoke before spooling and then will clean up once it gets into boost.
I agree. Without a real tune, the egt is a big concern. If you do this mod, and don’t monitor egt, it would be cool until you eventually blow the turbo, or worse crack the block, the head gasket or the head. Ideal air/fuel ratio is 12.5:1, but manufacturers like to use 14.7:1 because of emissions. Without a tune that corrects this, the ecu is fighting to still maintain 14.7:1 and will most likely give you 02 upstream/downstream errors and probably a few others. Just get a tune.
The side exhaust would be alright if it wouldn't stick out so much. Just cut like 2/3 inch of it

It's cheaper with a pre TDI diesel. Replace the plunger in the pump and turn a few screws and gain ~20 hp.

My bad. I actually watched the video and doing this is very dangerous to your turbo and motor on a stock ecu. Besides, it’s going to throw all kinds of engine codes, and hopefully put the ecu in limp mode. While it will work because you are modifying the amount of fuel delivery, because manufacturer sets air/fuel ratio to 14.7:1 to meet emissions and ideal combustion is 12.5:1. Pretty dangerous in my opinion unless your ok with the risks. Might want to invest in an egt gauge first to make sure your not exceeding the turbos max heat exposure. Just my 2 cents.

adjustable/trim-potentiometer is very useful whilst everymodding. this lets ju adjust it for optimum power/coal/lope.

I strongly do not recommend this mod on these vw tdi, this mod is great on trucks and other diesel engines but these vw have very small turbos as well as intercooler and when you add more unburnt gas that recycles through your egr system which increases the temperature majorly because it injects it directly back into your intake manifold. there is so many better ways to get more fuel into these engines because there is some serious hidden power in these alh tdi engines. best thing you got going for you is that exhaust mod. but I'd recommend not wasting your time or 9 dollars because on the end it can potentially cost you 1000 dollars for your new fuel pump. it's more stress on that rotary fuel pump by doing this.

Did you put a potentiometer with the resistor ? Without it you cant change the Evryload.
It's revving faster because the extra power is making the transmission slip. Similar to a worn out clutch it can't handle the power. I had the exact same car but with a 5 speed manual. I got a tune before a new clutch and the clutch would slip from day 1. I wouldn't run the car like that often it's going to roast the transmission.

have you guys tuned the potentiometer any? if so, get a new one, i hacked mine out of a stereo and could turn it down to the point where the engine died (not good at all when you do that) and i was able to keep up with a RT magnum up to about 60

In Portugal we have 1.9 TDi PD130 making 400+hp. Unfortunately, the diesel in the US it isn´t as good as here. If it was better you started liking TDi.

I got a MK4 Golf GTi VR6, Unitronic Stage 2, Audi 4.2L MAF and Housing, Ram Air Intake, Port and Polished Head, Stage 2 Sachs street clutch, and 7lb Custom machined flywheel, Megan Racing short shifter, Lowered on Solowerks Coilovers, bbs 16in rims, OEM roof rack, S-line TT front and rear calipers, full 2.5" catless headers back exhaust to a borla xr-1 sportsman muffler. Dynoed at 240whp on 91 octane in Vegas, but it is tuned for 93 from when i lived in Michigan. So probably around 5-7 more whp on the right gas. Hit me up if you guys wanna drive it. Around 34k on the new motor and build.
