I got mine tuned up to 120 hp and it's SO much more enjoyable to drive. Do yourself a favour and contact a chiptuner near you. Just don't use any of those stupid racing chips.
Diferent engine bro, 90 and 110 bhp is AP engine but you can still make good power out of them but you have to spend a lot more money, while with a PD (Pump Duse) you can make huge amounts of power with just minimal parts. I have a friend who had an Ibiza 6k with that same AP motor with 320HP but he spend over 5000€ on that engine. As an example on a 1.9 PD like the 130hp ASZ from the Golf and you just need a big turbo , big injectors and a big intercooler (and tunning ofc) and you can make crazy horsepower. Those PD blocks where made to last, thay are way overbuilt for the power they have, also even a stock 130 ASZ already has 320 of torque imagine a beast with 300-400bhp.

These engines are just stupidly strong I bought a golf GTD with a 2 L diesel and I didn’t think this unsuspecting Fabia 1.9TDI next to me would have much but holy shit I was wrong, he only had a hybrid turbo. The only problem is there’s no way it was road legal, I couldn’t even see the road ahead of me when he passed there was that much smoke 😂
Some of these engines are making big power, but I think on the road they just need to back off the fueling a bit, to achieve less smoke. I had that done in my can, and I now have zero smoke.
@@3lsforyou83 it is a PD, year 2005 - it has injectors for which there are additional rocker arms in timing area to produce high fuel pressure. Had to change one faulty injector due to failed smog test.
My fabia used to choo choo like this one. Wish that plonker that told me I was a liar, was on here. Kept saying these engines don't flutter as they don't have throttle body's. Great engines tho. Love them.

Not a lover of diesel tuning, but i have to appreciate it. If it wasn't the smoke, this type of engine would have rule the tuning world by far just for its torque 👀
It's a fine balance between power and smoke. Santa Pod are asking for all cars to be visible the whole length of the track, and it looks like it is still proving difficult.
Just from the noise of the turbo I'm assuming that it is a 2260VKLR, I've got 2060VKLR and it does the same when shifting gears, it's got bearings inside which helps the turbo fill up faster.

@@MrAaronb400 I wouldn't say so, listen to the spinning of the bearings when he does the burnout and let go from accelerating, they are very well known, the the turbo you are talking about the power would kick in at later RPM whilst the bearing ones the power kicks in at earlier RPM

I have the DSG 7 DQ500 on my Skoda Kodiaq TDI 4x4 (224 HP after ECU remap and a DSG remap for even faster changes). I can only say that the DQ500 is just amazing, it flies through gears so fast you don't even realize, my Kodiaq only pulls 464 Nm of torque and still it has room up to 600Nm.
Hay bigger turbo idk what turbo your running but all that smoke is unused fuel you got plenty of fuel you need more air get a nice 55 or 60 mm turbo and fab up some headers
Even on the standard map 130bhp it's the torque, I've the 6 speed it's an 02 model. It gives a good punch at 10-50mph but I swear the amount of people I have roasted from 50-90 in 4/5th gear it just shouldn't move like it does with so little effort or noise. 160k on it and still starts on the first twist of the starter the body will rust around that engine lol
@@slodsl It's irrelevant to a point as it's the shift point that matters. A tdi in virtually any form makes all its power before 4k rpm and even that's stretching it. A sixer with shorter ratios allows you to stay in the power band but as you say I'd be very interested in what that dyno sheet looks like.

Last time this car was on officially gassed it had 360bhp and was still rappid, the guys a good sport too definitely knows his stuff !
In the 80,s i had an Cuda with 440" engine and about 500hp, it did 11.3 on the 1/4 mile here in Sweden! It was not stock but near!

You can still build and map them for minimal smoke. Just a lot of people want the backs of there cars to be black for some reason

@@c4r5on88 adding in the NOS helps reduce the smoke. My van is mapped for zero smoke.

I have a Audi A3 1.9 TDI from 2007 with S Tronic. Its on Stage 1 from 105 to 150 Bhp. Its really fast from 0-70 im faster than a Golf 6 GTI😂
