Snow Days Crochet Scarf Bernat Velvet Yarn

I designed this scarf to be for anyone of any age. You can easily adjust the size of it by increasing your foundation chain in multiples of two plus one.
I used Bernat Velvet yarn because I love this yarn for items that you wear next to your skin. This yarn is so very soft. Pick some up at Michael's, Joann, and Walmart.
I use a k or a 10 1/2 6.5mm hook for this scarf.

What's a good number count for an adult? I'm a beginner and need some advice.

Any multiple of two. Once you have your multiple of two, and one more chain. I would say 14 or 16 if you are using a heavier yarn like Bernat Velvet. Then add a chain. So try 15 and see if that is wide enough for you and if not chain 17. Let me know if you need more help!!
