Dark souls two is not that hard of a game, IF you are willing to adapt to a different playstyle. Dark souls two punishes running through enemies, playing hyper aggressive, and spamming roll. Learning to Parry, properly roll, or manage your stamina way better makes the game way easier. There are also nuances like making the lost sinner fight easier. Before you enter the arena, enter the room to the right of the fog and light the oil. That lights the room and prevents lock on breakage and improves visability. It's considered the hardest DARK SOULS (not soulsborne) game when you use the dlc, but honestly, it'd be easier if you didn't try brute forcing your way through.

@@xryeau_1760 I think animations/the way the game looks in general would be the 2nd worst thing for me. The rest I really don't care about. Like why are you mad at bad hitboxes which exist in every Souls game when the game feels like shit to play regardless? The only reason the hitboxes are noticed is the lower s compared to other games and sometimes higher active attack frames on enemy attacks but you can just level adp and the hitbox is nonexistent because you're in . But how do you fix the controls? You can't. Even the people who vehemently defend this game against hitbox/adp/gank claims never have to defend the godawful controls because it bothers no one for some reason (until ofc they actually play the game themselves, like Distortion here.)
@@Kerrfuffle Ignoring the plethora of godawful takes you decided to throw at me that weren't related to thr topic at hand Fromsoftware literally did fix the "controls" problem that you're complaining about. @@Kerrfuffle I never said you said that. You said the issue couldn't be fixed, so I cited their future games which have the same "control issues" as DS2, just better executed. Man I forgot about your channel. Last time I watched your videos I think you were a teenager or maybe a very young man. Awesome to see you're still around.
Except we don’t get to use it. It would be a different story if we did. And it would be awesome if there was a mod for it, but it doesn’t seem like there is one (at least, to my knowledge). So despite it being visually-stunning & so super cool, Sekiro, unfortunately, doesn’t count. Neither does Armoured Core, and neither does King’s Field on the PlayStation, since neither one of these 3 are Souls games.
Just saying in ds3 if you pick deprived and get the silver serpent ring you can leave firelink at a strong lvl 25. That's more than enough to wield the moonlight. Starting gift: soul. Pick up the souls and items. Tree jump to get the ring, kill the lizard and sword master. Grab the ember and sell it. Easy lvl 25 before entering high wall.
I can't wait for the moment we realize all of the souls games are connected, and the creator of the worlds is Miyazaki, and in order to limit himself so everything doesn't become poison swamps he split his power into the different moonlight greatswords and scattered them across the realms.
For some reason, I thought that you are supposed to be good in souls games. Yea, it is either this compilation is designed to make you look like a bad player, or... And what is the reason behind that speedrun timer over there? Not like you are going fast or even doing fine tbh :/

I really like the design of Dark Souls 2’s Moonlight Greatsword. It just looks so shiny and sharp
Imagine a elden ring developer developing the concentrated snow field after 80+ hours of work, only for a green skinned elf with 2 extra shiny swords to defy gravity and skip it in like 20 seconds
Moonlight greatsword is just the best weapon in soulsborne games
I had no idea that Yearn works in the Iron Passage. I'm both elated by this discovery, and utterly furious that I sufferred through that hellhole without ever realizing how easily it can be solved.
so do alluring skulls, even, if you dont want the int. And the skulls can be purchased infinitely from shalquoir. Just chuck one at the start of each segment and the run is pretty free
I've always went for it no matter what. I love that glowing blue popsicle.

The cats vibing in chat at Vordt fight lololol
It's a feat in itself that you were still able to laugh and smile after playing 19 hours of the most agonizing games ever lol
Literally the most enjoyable video i have ever seen 💗💗💗
here's some mlg tips for you:
if you don't run through the entire level without killing anything, you won't get ganged up on by the entire cast of Annie.
Moonlight Greatsword in Bloodborne is the best version in my personal opinion. I just think the two hand R2 is absolutely broken. It's so good. I was slightly disappointed by the Elden Ring Moonlight Greatsword tbh. It's good but not Bloodborne version good.
Not really tho, i find the mgs in er more satisfying to use, aside from its special L2, the basic moves of mgs in bb are inferior while the charged R2 in er is more stylish and comes out faster, frost build up is a plus, and the damage from the cone/beam is much better
@@amilex5805 The Elden Ring version doesn't shoot projectiles so it is MID
@@jungtothehuimang bro your argument is invalid af
@@amilex5805 I wasn't asking for your thoughts I was telling mine. If you don't like it go suck on your mid ass Elden Ring Moonlight Greatsword idgaf. Bloodborne is just a better game period.
@@jungtothehuimang damn bloodborne fanboy at their finest
No Kings Field tho , that would've truly been canonical and awsome at the sametime. 😂🔥
The moonlight greatsword is also in ninja blade and Kings field... so, Distortion2, you must complete the run
The jump cut from DeS remake to Bloodborne almost melted my eyes. The shear difference between 30fps and 60fps is so apparent.
You also need to do Armoured Core as part of this marathon since it also has a moonlight sword :P
Came here to say that
Title says souls
By that logic, elden ring shouldn’t be included
mmmm
@@redredleg4051 nor should bloodborne lol
Elden Ring made the moonlight greatsword the best way out of all the other souls games ngl.
they have had a "Moon sword" in there games for a long time like Beam swords in Armored core games. Otagi Myth of Demons has the same Sword we know and love too.
Their*
mmmmm
The moonlight great sword is the key to access the realms of each souls game
I love videos like this
Funny seeing the chat call the moonlight sword from Elden Ring bad and then Distortion just steamrolls the game with it.
strictly speaking, theres a bunch of Armored Core games you could add to the run. The moonlight was initially introduced there, an earlier fromsoft title.
It was introduced in Kings Field 1

@@mahmud7645 no shit? thats awesome
First off. This weapon is my favorite weapon in each game because blue is my favorite color. It’s a beautiful weapon
1:17:55 Gotta love how aiming control is proper in every Souls game except 2. That's always gonna be its biggest issue and no one even talks about it.
No shot in hell that's worse than incomplete animations, gank squads, adaptability existing and hitboxes larger than a car
The ability to free aim melee attacks while locked on exists in Elden Ring (I think it also exists in DS3 but I'm not very sure) The difference is they made it togglable in later installments
@@xryeau_1760 I never said the games after it had the issue. This thing just makes DS2 play worse than the others and it's a far worse issue for me than "omg hitboxes".
DS1/DeS didn't even have this problem so I don't get what they were trying to do with DS2, other than it was more balanced for PVP I guess.
Also how were they not related to the topic? I talked controls and you brought up the other issues DS2 had and wondered how they don't bother me as much. Well they don't. Deal with it I guess.
@@Kerrfuffle I never said you said that. You said the issue couldn't be fixed, so I cited their future games which have the same "control issues" as DS2, just better executed. You read practically everything other than my main point and honestly I'm a little impressed with how far your selective reading can go
The moonlight great sword is probably the most overpowered sword in any video game ever since it also does magic damage.
Fork with over 1 trillion damage in skyrim: *i beg to differ*
Bro, i hope they remake ds 1 some day like they did with demon souls, it looks so good.
Boy do I have news for you
@@donkeysunite25 ?
Man I forgot about your channel. Last time I watched your videos I think you were a teenager or maybe a very young man. Awesome to see you're still around.
The moonlight greatsword also exists in sekiro. It’s the divine dragons sword
@@AlastorAltruistGamingthere is mod where your katana‘s design changes to the bloodborne moonlight greatsword
Time to update marathon with Armored Core 6 Moonlight Greatsword
Wish the moonlight GS in Elden Ring had a different R2 attack while unbuffed
tbh yeah i agree, i also want a follow up to the ash of war buff that thrusts the weapon with a beam of frost
1:07:38 oh my gharrrrrah
Y'know, I always knew there was a possible skip in Leyndell with all those walls with angular architecture.
i see it in every DS2 run "still makes me mad that hes called the aegis and doesnt have a shield" HE IS THE SHIELD
Everyone complains about the water place in DS2
Meanwhile I've been killing the enemies with my Dexterity long bow build
29:08 You can tell someone has been using this glitch for more than just looking at feet
My favorite weapon across all the games. The number 1 reason why I always play sorcery builds (besides cool laser beams)
For some reason, I thought that you are supposed to be good in souls games. Yea, it is either this compilation is designed to make you look like a bad player, or...
And what is the reason behind that speedrun timer over there? Not like you are going fast or even doing fine tbh :/
Yo, you missed King's Field. Cancelled.
the F'ing jumpscare at 7:40 made me almost spit out my drink. I have the volume on high to hear voices and bam spider slash.
