Very pretty card! Love that big image. I was a teen in the 70's, & always had music going. I've always loved so many different sounds. From Aerosmith & Led Zeppelin to Eagles, Bread, 50's CCR, 40's big bands, jazz, & many others. My guilty pleasure was the Bee Gees. Still love them, & actually got my son loving the Eagles & Bee Gees. I wasn't a fan of Hanson, but much to my son's dismay, I loved the song MBop. It was a real toe tapper. Now I mostly only listen to gospel, but still love them all. I still keep in touch with my best friend from high school. So interesting yours had a dead tooth. I also had one when I was little from jumping on the bed, so it was a baby tooth & fell out. The permanent tooth came in white though which is interesting since it kills the nerve as you said. But my dad had sent a school pic to a guy in Spain who did an oil painting, & he painted it exactly, black tooth & all.
Love the card. I lost my best friend almost 2 years ago to Leukemia. I met her at work and we were friends for over 20 years. It’s great to have a friend that you can say anything to without feeling embarrassed or apprehensive about it. We understood each other so well. I miss her.

I love watching you color! Great card ♥️ I have 7 girlfriends and we used to meet once a month for 20+ years, since Covid we zoom every Wednesday morning. The oldest is 79 and I’m the youngest at 63. We text back and forth everyday. We have seen each other through so much. I feel so blessed to have them in my life.
I have to laugh, Kelly, because I just had a generational record-scratch moment! You said, "The Nelsons song '(People Let Me Tell You 'bout My) Best Friend'," and I was all, "No that was the theme song for 'The Courtship of Eddie's Father' not 'Ozzie & Harriet'." When seconds later I put "growing up in the '90s" together with "THE Nelsons" and realized you meant their musician twin grandsons Matthew & Gunner! Hahahahaha! I was further confused because the song was about a father's "best friend" being his son. I don't remember the twins remaking the song, but can imagine they did. *Still* I absolutely was singing the song in my head!

My friend since kindergarten has a birthday on the 28th. We were very different also. She was the oldest of six, very blonde, and as underweight as I was overweight, with dark hair and an only child. Story time today was even better than usual today because of this. 😊

I love all your cards. I’m 73 y.o. but I think you and I would have been good friends I school. I was the blonde sorta nutty girl and my best friend was the “dark” kid with a bad reputation. We couldn’t have been more different. By the way, we made aprons for sewing and mac and cheese for our cooking part of Home Economics.
I’m a huge fan of your type of coloring, wish I could be that talented. I colored with crayons until I was about 12 y.o. and still like to do it.

Awesome card! Love the story! Other then family members I know not one person from before my twenties! That being said I met my husband when I was in my twenties and he has been my best friend ever since we just celebrated our 47 th anniversary!

Love the card and your story about your best friend. I have two friends who are in my life who are super special to me. We have been friends since we lived in the same neighborhood and were having and raising our children. We now live in different states but we still get together as well as call each other often. Our friendship started over40 years ago and it is still strong. It is so true women need great and strong friendships. Thanks for sharing your talents and stories.

Instant Pot is a game changer. Don't be scared. Ours is used at least 3 times a week for the past 10 years and I've never had the lid explode off. I am however terrified of a regular pressure cooker. Oh and beautiful card as always.

Tears for Fears - Seeds of Love and Erasure - Wild! were my HS gotos. I was a wannabe alternative junkie. The Cure concert I went to wearing penny loafers pretty much sums it up. (my boyfriend, now husband, was wearing cowboy boots)

I have a tooth story that is a trauma for me, I have a false front tooth because I broke my permanent tooth in half and because I was only nine & it was in the 60’s , the dentist put a silver cap on my tooth.
We were doing a game in class to see how good we could describe things around classroom, one boy describe a silver thing about 1/4 inch long and none of us could guess… he said it was my tooth….. I almost passed out

How in the world was your Home Ex structured the same as home ex in the the ‘70s? Sewing - was failing that section. I had As in all other courses. My mom pulls me aside and tells me to bring home my sewing project. My sister finished my project and just incorrectly enough to look like I did it.
