Great to hear the update on Gram. ❤️ My Great-Aunt just turned 92, so she and Gram are both close in age. I pray your Dad's surgery goes well. God bless, ~Maranda
It is not an easy task to take care of an elderly parent. Your Mom and Dad are wonderful people to take care of their parents and your Mom’s spouses parent. I love your colouring and how your come up with your scenes. Thanks for the great tips and cards.
Thank you for sharing how your Gram is doing. Your mom is truly a saint. She obviously cares very deeply for her family. My grandpa died in 2019, and it was a full time job for my dad and 2 brothers to care for him in his last years. They took turns. My dad took him his breakfast, did work around his house and morning appointments. My uncle dropped by in the afternoon to check on him and take him to any afternoon appointments he had. My other uncle (who lived across the street) brought him dinner after work and took care of anything he needed in the evening. It’s draining in a way that cannot be explained watching someone you love decline.
I can’t even imagine how hard it is to take care of a grandparent (or parent!) 24/7 like that! All the prayers and love to your mom and family for helping day in and day out! And I hope your dad’s hip surgery goes well!! Your birthday card is so special and wonderful and just perfectly personalized for your sister!!
What a gorgeous card Kelly. I love your “banner”. I love it when people talk highly of their family, that says something. I wish my parents were still alive as I miss them so much and they were great too. I took care of my mom the last three months of her life. I went and stayed at her house. My son was 20 then and old enough to stay home by himself. I took care of my oldest brother off and on for two years until his passing. I have no regrets.
It’ takes a superhero to share their lives with the people that raised them to be who they are. So basically, superhero’s create superhero’s! That is such a blessing Kelly, so, you know that means that you’re a superhero too!!! Sending prayers for super human strength to you & your family!!! Great card, as always! You are an inspiration whether you know that or not, you matter so very much to me & hearing someone who is an everyday regular human being sharing their experiences, even if it’s as simple as what you had for dinner, or if you were running late, it’s all something we can all relate to. Thanks for being you Kelly, you are blessed & a blessing!!! Sending you blessings, love, & hugs!!!
My beautiful Mama turned 91 last November. Physically she’s doing fairly well - but dementia has stolen all her memory. She no longer remembers anything from her past (distant or 3 seconds ago). She doesn’t know who we are, but thankfully she knows she loves us and that we love her. To you & yours, I hear you, I feel you: all the love, the heartbreak, the coordination efforts, the exhaustion, the many challenges of caring for family who can no longer care for themselves. It’s a lot, but I guess it is the circle of life & it is love. On a lighter, but still challenging note...for the love of God, what to fix for freaking dinner? It shouldn’t be so difficult, but it is! Having the time to cook after work is hard enough, but figuring it out and having the right things once you do? Ugh! Thank goodness for you, your fabulous Copic coloring & all the sparkly things to provide some respite 😊
I love hearing about your family! I came from a highly dysfunctional and abusive home and hearing about your family makes me cry (happy tears) It took a second marriage to get me to a point of loving myself. I do give everything in my heart to my kids and grandson. Happy Birthday to your sister🎊🎉 Keep telling your beautiful stories and making those amazing cards♥️♥️♥️
Love this sweet card!! Always tune in for the stories. So happy your Gram is doing so well. Your Mom is a saint!! It truly takes a special kind of person to sacrifice themselves like that. Kudos to her.
What a beautiful card that you made for your sister. Thank you for the stories too. I love hearing what is going on in your life even though it may seem boring to you, it is keeping us connected to you. I would agree that your mom is a ROCK STAR. She has a very giving heart and a willingness to show Christ's love. Our parents need to know that when they need us we will be there for them.
I absolutely love to watch your scene building cards! They are very inspiring... Family is important, and it is obvious in your family, as you talk, that they are a priority too. These are values that will be passed down to your son as he gets older.
I love your cards and stories. Yes, I would listen to you talk about paint drying. You are a great stoey teller. Blessings to your folks for being such loving people. I am in my 14th year as my mom-in-law's caregiver. We have all moved to our new "retirement" house in AZ so we could be closer to our daughter, her hubby & grandkids. It's so much easier to see them since its a 9 minute drive instead of 6 hours. Lol. Happy birthday to your sis & gram.
What a wonderful family you have, you are so blessed. I love that your Mom and Dad are taking such loving care of your grandmother. Your stories always uplift me, I watch not just to be inspired by your talent, and inspiration for card making, but your warm, uplifting stories of life.❤️
Your Gram & Mom story buoys my heart--my 90 yr old Mom came to live with me last Feb...your sharing eases my soul, not to mention the beautiful card. Thank you.
Such a cheery, beautiful, bright, birthday card. Love the vibrant vivid colors and how you hand drew the banner. Very impressive and inspirational. Glad everyone is doing well. It's so true the older one gets the more they sleep or doze off. Enjoy life and grandma, they are precious. Love to you and your family, Kelly ❤ XOXO
Yes, life has become so hum drum, I work, cook as well, & take care of the pups. My best crafty friend died in October & I inherited her dog, who loves my puppy, but it is like having children in the house, I am an empty nester. But the dogs have been fun & a bright spot.
Prayers for your dad’s surgery. There is nothing better than family. Pulling together and caring for one another is awesome! I LOVE hearing about anything you share. The card is beautiful...happy belated bday to your sister. Ok so a simple recipe is pork barbecue in crock put. Line bottom with onion, slather ribs with favorite sauce, add 2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic. Cook on low 6-8 hours (depending on crockpot). Take out and put on foil lines cookie sheet and brush on more sauce, broil for 3-5 minutes to caramelize. It was so easy and my husband raved about them. 😉
Good luck to your dad with his surgery. My dad had a knee replacement done last month. He stayed with me here because I live closer to the hospital. He did great and has healed rather quickly for being 80 years old. Love your card!
Another beautiful card. I love watching your scene cards come together. Your parents sound amazing, pretty much spending their retirement years taking care of their parents.
Sweetie your videos are always long ones but I wouldn’t miss watching you create and listening to your family updates and other stories. When you said about talking with Gram about things from the past, they all do that. My Mom was the same way as was her father. The short term memory gets very fuzzy but the long term memory is there to stay. Lots of prayers for you and all your family. God bless Eric.
Kelly, you have a way with words, it’s like visiting with. Friend. My husband and I brain stormed dinner options, wrote a list, then on Sunday plan the week out. So far it has been a great stress relief not having to think about dinner each day. Thanks for the visit, loved the card.
Just love your videos, here in Canada we are locked down so tight that we can’t go anywhere. I absolutely look forward to and love hearing your stories. We are so blessed to have creative people like you, thanks so much for sharing. Blessings to you and your family. 💕
awesome card. I have used those cupcakes so many times for birthdays since you first colored them. you bring a smile to my face. I tell my daughter and sisters that I don't need exciting events to hear about, I just want to hear their voices. being homebound even before covid, voices are my connections to the world. hope your dad does okay with his surgery. thanks as always for sharing.
My daughter and her family bought a house in august 2 miles from us. We worked it out so one day a week I make a double dinner and she picks it up on the way home . On the weekend she does one for us. Loving this. Glad gram is ok
This card is so pretty! you could take all day and even if I had to split it up to watch and hear your stories I would! God bless you and happy birthday to your Grames!
I understand what your mom is going through. My mom is 86 and she just came home from the hospital a few days ago after 2 weeks. She was traumatized by the experience in this time of Covid, since she couldn't have any visitors. My youngest brother lives in her house with her and we have been dividing up the care duties. I take the day shift while he is working and he takes the night shift. Our once vibrant mother is showing her age and it is a really awful thing to watch. Please give your mom a big hug and tell her that there are many of us who understand. Remind her to take a little time for herself, even if it's only a half hour. Big hugs! I love the card, btw.
What an absolutely gorgeous card! I love hearing all of your updates and hearing what a great guy Eric is! And 100% same about dinner. I have three kids and they have the nerve to complain that we eat the same thing all the time, but they never want to try anything new and they never give suggestions to alternative meals! It's definitely the worst!
Your card is awesome Kelly. I loved the update about your family, that is a part of the charm of following you. Thank you so much for sharing, hope all of you stay safe and have a wonderful day.
Fun card! Glad to hear Gram is doing well, bless her heart. And your folks, wowzers! I moved in with my folks who are 80 & 81. Being a caregiver is tough work. Dealing with memory problems and all that goes with it. Mom still likes to cook a " family" meal a couple of times a week and she complains about the same thing, lol. I use the Allrecipes Daily Dish , they send a new recipe evey day to my email. If I don't use the recipe or have the ingredients it at least gives me an idea. I love it and started giving ideas to mom.
Great card, Kelly! I heard my Mom said for all my life (50+) : " I wished they would invent some new food - I'm tired of cooking the same things!" some things never change :)
A swag banner -- may be the phrase you were wanting to use. (?) Reminds me of a flowing fabric banner like are displayed at Memorial Day or 4th of July events. Nice birthday card!! It's lovely to hear your family members are a support team for each other -- all the best to your dad/family during his upcoming recovery period.
You said you didn’t have anything to talk about then gave us an update on gran. You do have lots to talk about!! It really helped me to hear this story because my Mom is about to turn 90 and in the future we will have decisions to make. We are really lucky that she can still live alone but it won’t be long... so thank you for the update.
As someone whose parents have passed, it warms my heart when I hear people saying how amazing their parents are. 💓 I thought my parents were amazing and I wished I'd told them more how much they meant to me.
Love your card... your Mom and Dad are pretty amazing...So glad your Gram has such wonderful caregivers... and your Mom and Dad will love to have your support and Eric's after your Dad's surgery...Family is soooo important...
Glad Gram is doing well, sorry to hear about your dad needing surgery. I will be praying for both of them. I HEAR you....seriously hear you about Dinner.....ugh....the hardest decision of my day everyday for sure!!!! You are super interesting to listen to Kelly!!! Have missed you so much!! Big Hugs!!!
You and your family are amazing, caring humans! We need more of your kindness in this challenging world! ❤️😘🙏🏻🤞🏻✌🏻Happy birthday to sis & Gram! 🙏🏻your your Dad🙏🏻😇for your Mom! Chic Fil A for you and your hubby😁
Awesome to hear about your grams.. I miss my parents and grand parents so much. They've been gone for quite a few years. My grandparents lived in Missouri and us in WA. so it was vac. time seeing them. I envy cousins who were able to have a longer better relationship. You are blessed with having Eric and that is sweet that he will be able to care for your dad and get him taken care of since he's done that kind of care before. You are all in my prayers. So glad to see your card and love the scene you created. Your sister is lucky to get this work of art from you.
Great card! I am very excited - I have some of those sets and I know just who needs a card like this. Don’t apologize for a long video....they make my day. God Bless your Mom - caretakers have a special place in Heaven.
As always a beautiful card and wonderful conversation. I haven’t been able to make any cards lately, we bought a house and moved. Then spent the last few weeks preparing the old house for sale, listed it on Saturday morning and sold it two hours later. So listening to you talk about your family makes my heart sing. I’ve missed you😊
What an awesome card but then all your cards are awesome Kelly. Your scene making is to die for. Your amazing. I feel bad for your parents. I’m sure they are stressed. It’s very wearing to be a caregiver. Now your Dad looking at surgery. Geese. I think you all need a break. Happy Birthday (Belated) to your sister. Bet she was thrilled w/ her card. That cupcake sure does look like an Oreo topping (wow). Thanks for sharing. Stay strong.
Things have changed a bit for hip replacement. My dad has had both of his done (age 68 and 70). They have them up and walking the day after the surgery, have a walker, then cane but are fairly self-sufficient for basic care in a few days. Physical therapy is the key to independence! Stairs are probably out for a few weeks. Your dad will be glad to see y'all, though! And what are y'all buying at CFA??? We get 4 meals and its under $40. #TEXASROCKS
Love your card. Color choices worked well together. 😊 Your Mom sounds amazing. We brought my Mom here. Set her up in an apartment. Meals on Wheels, doctor visits. All the fun stuff. I’m afraid I could never have met the standard your Mom set though. It is a difficult thing caring for our parents. Bless your Mom and others that do.
Beautiful card. My sister got us sisters a mug like you spoke of. Glad Gram is doing well. Your story brings back memories of my Mom & I taking trips to care for my Great Aunt when her daughter needed to be away. I hear you on the dreaded “What to eat?”
Fabulous card...your Copic coloring is so helpful. Thanks for the family update. I am continually inspired by the caregivers and their sacrifices. Dinner ideas...I have started a monthly calendar to plan menus so that there is one less decision related to meal prep.
Oh my goodness Kelly, what an amazing card! I loved every minute watching you bring the depth and dimension to life! Absolutely brilliant design and gorgeous coloring, as always!. I deeply feel for your parents and what they are undertaking with your Gram. as my dear Mom had dementia and it was a tough journey for the whole family. They are saints for all they've done and still are doing for her. Prayers to you all! As to not having much to talk about, don't feel you must do more than you feel comfortable-I'm pretty sure your faithful followers will still be here for you! Big crafty hugs! 🙏💖💖
so excited for your daddy! He will feel so much better!!! 18 months ago i had both of my hips replaced (at 47)! couple weeks needing help to get around and then good as new. same thing for my momma (at 65) x 2. just watch for infection prayers!
Kelly, that's why it is so great to listen to you, you're just a wholesome, normal family, doing what you need to do. I think most of us can relate and that's why we enjoy watching and listening to you. And that you make amazing cards and provide much inspiration.
Your Mom is a saint ♥️ I am blessed with a Mom very much like that, but she is now 87 and it’s my turn. I can only 🙏🏻 I can live up to her example. Thank you so much for your words and inspiration!
So funny to hear you talking today about being sick of cooking! I love to cook and our son & DIL sold their house in Sept and are staying with us while they are looking to buy another one. The company is great and I enjoy cooking for them (especially b/c they have both worked extra long hours/shifts since Covid) but tonight I was just not feeling it! However, my grandsons are here for a couple of days so I had no choice. I have been haunting Pinterest for months and my son said he’s hardly had the same meal twice since they’ve been here and he will need to go on a diet soon! 🤣 (Homemade bread and rolls are quite popular around here.) Otherwise we are all healthy so we’re thankful for that! Happy to hear your grandmother and parents are doing well. Good luck to your Dad with his surgery. Stay well Kelly!
I’ve been watching you for a long time now and have heard all your stories about your family and I have to say they are the best. I love how when you talk about them you get emotional. It’s sweet. I took care of my Dad for a long time. We lived in Buffalo but my grandparents lived in North Ridgeville Ohio by Cleveland. My Aunt took care of them so when she needed help I would work all day, pick up my dad, drive him to Cleveland and turn around to drive back to Buffalo so I could go to work in the morning. I did that a lot.
Absolutely stunning card. Just showed my partner too and he was like 'o wow'. I really need to practice more lol. Yr family sound so amazing and it's lovely to hear the love you have for them come through in yr voice. I lost my mum this year and my sister and I had fallen out before this happened, so as she lived with my mum she didn't tell me. So I haven't had any closure and the old mental health has stepped up ha. Listening to u talk makes me forget and I lose myself in yr beautiful colouring. My mum died just a month before her 90th birthday. Give Yr grandma a gentle hug from me xx
The Sisters frame sounds so cute! I'm sure your sister will love it! And who doesn't love cupcakes...on a card, on the counter, in your hand....in your mouth! Lol 💖💌💖💌
This card is AMAZING! Your sister is very lucky and her gift sounds perfect. How thoughtful of you. Yes, thinking up dinner is challenging for sure. I’m in that boat with you. Give your mom a BIG HUG. She is a SAINT!
If I had to think of stories to tell while you watched my video, it would be sad. I hardly go anywhere, I'm single, my son is a germaphobe and won't visit anyone, and all my friends (3) have their own problems so I don't bother them. The End. Anyway, your card is so pretty. I know your sister will love it!
I love our girl time. It's extremely important to those of us who don't get out to visit with friends or family anymore. I love hearing how the family is doing. I grew up living with my grandmother the majority of my life. She took care of her mother till the end. As a teenager I would sit with my greatness; grandma so my grandparents could go to the store. She had dimentia so bad, but if she ever started to get upset about anything I would ask her to tell me stories about how she defended her older brother who had lost a leg, so she just stepped up and took care of him. Then she had helped my grandma with my Daddy as a child. So absolutely my grandma was not having her Mom being in a home. So she was superwoman. Taking care of her mother, husband, son, and his 2 kids. People just honestly were raised differently back then. They took care of family no matter the consequences. When my 4 kids were young I used to tell them to get ready because they would each have me 3mths out of the year. It was just like a running joke. However my youngest is 31 now and I absolutely know that none of my kids would dare to slow down and take care of me. So I am fully aware that I would making my own self rhyme
Family in my life was mostly just my dad, me, and our little dog. From time to time I see my mom or a half brother or half sister or a cousin so I love so much hearing about your family and how close you are and how you're always there for each other. My daughter-in-law's family is like that a lot. My dad passed when I was 25, the only grandparent I ever knew passed when I was 20 or 21. So mostly my adult family was my son and myself, his dad's sister and a lady I adopted as mama. They are both with Jesus now but at least my son has more semblance of family through his wife's family now. So glad that your dad will have Eric there with him after surgery. With Eric having gone through this before it'll be so much better for your dad. Eric can anticipate the things our dad wouldn't want to ask for help with. Okay now to the card. LOL. Yay Kimberly, you go girl with your purple loving self! LOL the gift you picked out is something I know she will cherish along with this fabulous card that represents the three of them! I need to look and see which set includes the coffee cup on your card cuz I love that set! Mostly because of that coffee mug. I've never been much of a cupcake fan. I am way more of a function over form type of person. Cake is easier to make, easier to eat, and easier to clean up after, and it's just like a smashed cupcake LOL part of it is I hate washing muffin tins, I'm part of it is that I have such a huge overbite that I can't get my teeth apart enough to bite a cupcake. I'm with Duff Goldman tear off part of the cake at the bottom turn it upside down on top of the icing and smush it to eat them LOL. Well this comment is nearly as long as your absence was, so I'll shut up now LOL but I just love how y'all take care of gram! Oh and in your voice overs, recognize that all of our lives are just as humdrum these days so any little thing you talk about will be interesting!
@@KellyTaylorCards yeah no, at our house 9 by 13 smear some Icing On Top done. LOL. I do love how pretty cupcakes are when someone else is making them LOL
Kinda a funny story. I’ve been telling my husband how I watch certain people on utube because it calms my nerves during these crazy times. His response was “ you mean KELLY helps your nerves down during these crazy times. 😂. Glad I found you channel some time ago. Lobe the stories and I’m definitely learning a lot from you as well.
I always love to look at you coloring 😍. It's seems so easy, when you doing it. Thanks for sharing stories about your family. Your mother is a super hero 🌹🌹❤️
Beautiful card! And thank you for the update on Gram! I've wondered how she's doing. And, let me tell you, thinking up dinner ideas is The Worst!! I hate it! 😜😜 stay safe and can't wait to hear about your table! 😊
Beautiful card. Love to hear your stories too. I’m having the same issues with dinner. Get tired of re-runs menu....wish we could all make a meal & share it a couple nights a week. Wouldnt you just love if one of your neighbors just brought you dinner? Really love that card.
I got a minimal text from my sister on my 50th bday last October..and then my mom, bless her heart, had one dementia meltdown after another, and said some really awful things to me. I really don't want to count last years bday as my "official" 50th, because it turned out so horrid. Listening to you talk about your mom and gram, I feel for your mom, but also want to hug her! Anyone who is a caretaker to a loved one with dementia is a super hero... and they also need to be rewarded with their favorite bottle of beverage and the longest soak in a tub! After that, a full night's sleep and breakfast in bed (or at least breakfast made for them with the kitchen cleaned).
I did’nt read all of the comments, but in response to sick of figuring out what to have for dinner, try a pressure cooker. Dinner is on the table in no time and so good!!!
Beautiful card and very caring family. Prayers for your dad's surgery 🙏
Great to hear the update on Gram. ❤️ My Great-Aunt just turned 92, so she and Gram are both close in age. I pray your Dad's surgery goes well. God bless, ~Maranda

Kelly, it is so refreshing that you love your Grammie. I love it.
Well you have done it again...another one of my favorite cards... You have endless talent. God is blessing your whole family. Hang in there.

Or garland maybe?
I know your sister must have loved that card! 😍👍
Wow! That banner! The coloring! You are a rock star!
Big Hugs!!!
Beautiful card! Glad to see you back! Hope your sisters fiftieth birthday was as fun as your card!!! God bless your parents❤️
Your mom is amazing! Love to watch you color.
Love the card, Kelly. I am so with you on the difficulty of thinking of what to make for dinner!
I’ve missed you😊
Congratulations!
What a fabulously sweet card!
Most people can't meet the standard my momma has set so don't feel bad. We all do what we can to the best of our ability.
Thank you for sharing the update on your family. Its lovely to hear how amazing they are. Great card for a special birthday . Take care
Amazing card Kelly and loved the update on Gram! Sending well wishes and prayers for your dads upcoming surgery.
Love love love this card! Glad your family is doing well!
WOWZA, just WOWZA!!! You are simply amazing.
Shoot girl that is one awesome card!!!
That's fantastic of you. I'm sure your family really appreciated it :)
Amazing card and coloring! Thank you for update on your Grams💕
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Stunning card! I love your colouring and I loved story time .
Beautiful card. I too am tired of making dinners 🤣
I love it hear you praise your mom! I wonder what I will do when my mom is gone. Scared to think about it
The Sisters frame sounds so cute! I'm sure your sister will love it! And who doesn't love cupcakes...on a card, on the counter, in your hand....in your mouth! Lol 💖💌💖💌
Thanks for sharing about your fantastic family. Love the phenomenal card!
Beautiful card! Love the colors!
I spent summers as a child with my grandparents too and it's some of my fondest memories. :)
Love it! Amazing as always! I love watching and listening to you.
Washing the tins is a pain but putting filling in between the cake layers is also a pin. lol Filling cupcakes ie easy :)
Love your card! You are amazing and so funny. Always love your stories.
I always love to look at you coloring 😍. It's seems so easy, when you doing it.
Thanks for sharing stories about your family. Your mother is a super hero 🌹🌹❤️
Endless talent...
So pretty, Kelly
Cupcake w/o icing. Lol. That's a Muffin!!
Fantastic card!
Omg! Yes! I’m so over making dinner!!!
I did’nt read all of the comments, but in response to sick of figuring out what to have for dinner, try a pressure cooker. Dinner is on the table in no time and so good!!!
I love your card. But I love Chick Fil A sauce a lot more. I cannot get enough it’s so good on everything 😁👍🏻
You are very good with copics. :)
Beautiful
Fun card! The colors went together perfectly
I could watch you color with Copics all day long, love your scene cards! Blessings on your Mom & Dad & Gram in the coming weeks!
Swag? Cute card!!
Your cards are always so stunning and beautiful tyfs
So love your videos. You probably get that a lot.
You are awesome. I love your card. You just pop up on my feed. Good thing. I'm so impressed!
Welcome to the crazy :)
Who knew the big discussion every day would be "what's for dinner?" I'm tired of fixing dinner1. Love your card as always. Good to see you back.
