The neat thing about when kids are little, is you can get lots of hugs in! But when they’re older and hug you of their own volition - they are still amazing and sustaining! Peanut (Nathan) sounds amazing! Glad they admit that Vicks is amazing again! The doctors didn’t like it when our kids were little but it was often the only thing that helped
Hi Kelly, your story is definitely the life of a “mom” no matter what we may be going through we have to take care of our family because we think no one can do it the way we want it to be done, which is utterly so far from being right. Praying for a quick and complete healing for you and the children. I have been and will continue to pray for the Ukrainian people and also the Russian people because they do not want this war either. We really need to study our Bibles to better understand how the events we are facing now is parallel to events in the New Testament.
He is a Mighty God!!!! Beautiful card!!! Love that dragonfly. Hope your baby girl is better and your fur baby!!Keeping you in my prayers and of course the Ukraine!!!!
Kelly, your blue dragon fly is beautiful with the other blues. Having your mom and mother in law available is a blessing on its own. I’ve been praying for peace for the Ukrainian people as well. It’s about the only thing we can do right now…
I think the card turned out beautifully. We are always our worst critic. I'll include the baby and fur baby in my prayers. I can only imagine you doing all that right after surgery, not to mention with a bandage that is blocking part of your view. God really shows us how strong we can be when something happens and we are needed. A Mama's work is never done. Ask your Mom. You are incredibly blessed to have your Mom as well as Eric's Mom, active in your life. I raised my four in another state with no family around after their Dad left. Of course not responsible enough to pay support or come visit them. However I endured and we all grew closer. Even when we had a fire and lost everything, we came through it. I literally had to drag my son out because he thought I was going to spank him for starting it. The only injury was my face was slightly burned. No clothes, no shoes, but God got my babies out safe. My faith has always help me get through whatever comes. I know yours will as well. Huge hug
Kelly, It has been awhile since I've seen one of your videos. You are still the best colorist and storyteller I have watched. Love this card and your tribute to Ukraine. Pray God sees fit to deliver them from evil without more suffering.
I love your card. I have been praying for Yana and Ukraine. I can't stop thinking about them every day and I find myself constantly praying through the day.
Kelly, I love this beautiful card and what it represents to you. I too stand with you and pray for all Ukraine people and their families. this should not be happening to them. I am praying for your health and so glad the surgeons have got it all. Blessings to you. Thank you for the wonderful mindful technique that is creating this beautiful heartfelt card. xxx
The card is beautiful. Sorry that you and Eric were dealing with sickness in your house. Thank you so much for your cards, inspirations, and teaching. Praying for the Ukraine.
Praying for Yana and Svetlana. I watch Yana all the time. All the you tube crafters are family to we subscribers all over the world. We feel like we know you guys. May they and their families be safe and please can this horror stop now. Love and prayers from my little African corner of the world where the wild things are 🦓🐘🦏🦒🦁
I love the card. I really like dragonflies ( on cards, not in real life, they freak me out) I am exhausted just listening to all you and Erik do with the help from your mothers
A lovely card and even more wonderful for the Cards for Ukraine project. I’ve been following Yana for awhile and am constantly checking her social media for any updates from her. Like you, I feel like the two of you are my friends. I also have two young ladies who are in and from Ukraine along with their families. So scared for them all. We just need to keep praying. Your story time made me think about God having a sense of humor the way He kept giving you one problem after another. Hope everyone is on the way to being healthy again.
I understand stand what you mean about art being your stress reliever. My husband wishes mine was cleaning. Lol. I’ve been praying with you for our craft family in Ukraine. Your card is a lovely tribute.
I love watching you create such beautiful cards! I continue to pray for peace in Ukraine. God bless your family. I learned to put Vicks on my children’s feet from my mother. We still use it now especially when we have a cough that just won’t let us get sleep. Works like a charm! After applying it we also put a pair of socks on our feet.
What a beautiful card! Praying for all of Ukrane! The wavy lines with the water is a really nice tip! I wish you and your family all the best wishes to feel better.
Love your card and so sorry about your family. Hope they figure out what’s going on with poor Molly and the kids start feeling better real soon. Parenthood can be a real challenge! Take care
Lovely card as usual. I really appreciate you using the Ukraine colours too. This morning I interviewed a US Sephardic Jewish author for International Women’s Day (I’ll publish it over the weekend) who had collaborated with a Muslim author to write a novel for primary/middle school kids about accepting our differences. The authors’ motto is “the things we share unite us; our differences should excite us”. I love this attitude, which fits perfectly into my running theme of featuring authors whose books represent minorities, and who are working towards peace.
This is a beautiful card. I hope things have settled down for your family and everyone is doing better. I am keeping Yana and her family and all of Ukraine in my prayers.
Beautiful card, Kelly. I really like that you go over that white border to color it to match the background. You have a lot on your plate - the life of a mom! And yes, praying for Ukraine!
As usual, you're card is beautiful. I love listening you your stories, it really makes me appreciate my life 🙂 And as with your many followers, I'm also praying for you, your family and the good people of Ukraine.
Wow… honey honey… YIKES! When it rains, it pours! Hope everyone is feeling better now. The card is beautiful. I pull away from everything when I’m stressed or upset because I can’t focus. High anxiety 24/7 right here! Keeping you all and Ukraine 🇺🇦 in my prayers! ❤️💙💛
Hello from Illinois. So excited to see you have a card in support of #cardsforUkraine. I follow Yana too and love her inspiration and classy cards. Hugs and prayers for Ukraine.
I don't pray necessarily but I do believe in something bigger and that's where I send all my hopes, encouragement and well wishes, it worked for you and I'm so grateful! I spent my day making cards for Yana, and so many dealing with this sad and terrifying situation. As always your cards just beautiful!
Hope everyone at your house is feeling better now... when I started to watch this video, I thought of Ukraine right away. .. I love these dragonfly stamps! Great coloring and card! I love that you colored in yellow around dragonfly's "legs". That is a nice touch! I love it!
I prayed so hard for you and your surgery (Praise Jesus!) and I’m praying constantly for Ukraine these days. To be honest, I was concerned about your card when you were doing the background, but it turned out amazing! I should never have doubted… blessings and hugs from Ky.
Enjoyed watching and listening to your demo. Beautiful card! I've learned some great tips watching you color. Prayers for the people in Ukraine and God bless you and your family.
So many things I feel listening to you...the card is beautiful! Love the way you created your background and the water. I will continue to pray for the Ukrainian and Russian people as I believe neither group wants this war, but I will pray singularly for our lovely crafting friends. Listening to your family caretaking brings back lots of memories of parenthood when you have small children, pets. etc. Hang in there...you're in the very "hands on" labor intensive phase. It gets calmer...I promise! Oh, and by the way, you pronounce "opaque" correctly...always seems strange but you're correct!! Hang in there and try to enjoy the roller coaster!
Your card is absolutely stunning! I was so engrossed in your story I didn't pay much attention to your card, then you said end of video and I was going NO wait I need more. Thank you for sharing.
That is a gorgeous card!! I often have a problem getting way too literal in my card making so I never would have put flowers over water like that. But it is beautiful!! It just looks like a flowering branch sticking out over the water and I love the dragonfly. Hope everyone is over their illnesses soon, And things get back to normal craziness lol
I’m so happy they got it all with the surgery!! Love the card - and will send prayers up for your friends - we are all saddened by what’s going on in Ukraine
Opaque (oh-peyk), you are pronouncing it correctly. LOVE the card, thanks for the info about the water. It is good to know that even seasoned crafters make mistakes. Praying for all of the people involved in what is happening in the Ukraine because there are people who are there that DO NOT want to be there. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful card. You have so many wonderful ideas for working around to achieve the exact look you desire. Praying for all in Ukraine. Hoping your family is on the mend. 💛💙
Gorgeous card, I like the way you blend in the the die cuts it makes such a difference. Sorry Kaitlyn is still unwell,,nothing worse when a small baby has a stuffed up nose , bottle feeding becomes so difficult for Bub and Mums heart hurts for her baby. I’m praying for Ukraine too 🇺🇦
I feel your family insanity as I too have recently been in a similar situation, with child ER visit, limping dog needing CT/MRI. Juggling-my favorite family activity. I took a few hours, letting housework go, to make four card fronts. I used an alcohol friendly ink to stamp a bouquet, did some distress ink blending, and went to copic the flowers and leaves. I thought I had waited long enough, but the copics smeared the ink. I added some white highlights to the flowers to distract/highlight the smeared areas. I stamped the sentiments and set it all aside to make dinner, give the dog his pills, and check on my child. The cards will be completed on another day.
Hi Kelly. Very nice stamp and die sets. Great job with the background and coloring. Your card turned out lovely. Glad your cancer surgery went well. =^^=
Your card is gorgeous. I'm also very concerned about the people in the Ukraine and praying for them and their country. The whole situation is heartbreaking. Your family has certainly been having a lot of medical challenges. I'm glad that they were able to get all the cancer in your surgery. My dad had melanoma and we dealt with that for many years. Thankfully, he survived, but only after several major surgeries and radiation. He had several more good years after that.
LOL… and life goes on.. and as busy as you are you can’t help but feel grateful that it has.❤️❤️ beautiful card; I just purchased the dragonfly set and a few other things but I wish I could have ALL the things!!
This card is absolutely gorgeous, you taught me how to color the colors so well. I’m a beginner and I’m watching and learning everything I can. I absolutely love your channel!!! Seriously you are best Kelly. I enjoy your story time and watching and learning from you. Your cards are my style when I imagine making a card. Thank you for everything for everything hon. Love from Ohio.
Beautiful card as always. Been praying for the people of Ukrainian and those who we hold so dear in the craft world during this time. On a side note, kids and pets will get a feeling when you say something and then test that to see if you meant it, even when they get older…..lol, glad the baby is doing well and hope Peanut is on the mend also and your pup as well….
What an insane story time! 😳 Hope everyone is resting up and feeling better! Card came out beautifully. You’re gonna cheer up that recipient when they get it 💙
Beautiful card! Love to see how you "save" your cards when things don't work quite as you planned! I have been praying for the Ukraine. A man I taught school with for many years here in my small town in TX is actually living and teaching there! Prayers for both your children and for your healing, too!!
The neat thing about when kids are little, is you can get lots of hugs in! But when they’re older and hug you of their own volition - they are still amazing and sustaining!
