The matchless is one of the favorite sounding amps on my TONEX. I can only imagine what it sounds like in the actual room with the real thing. I also like Hiwatts as well.
These IR's sound and FEEL great. I jus loaded them into my Strymon Iridium and It sounds so good. After trying out a bunch of combinations, I ended up loading the 545 M160 Blend with each varying degree of balance in Bank A (30-70), Bank B (50,50), and Bank C (70-30). It allows me to keep the overall tone that I like, but if I need more or less cut, I can pull the 545 back or push it forward. That combo, for whatever reason, just sounds so good. The midrange sits right where I want without it sounding or feeling harsh, but also, never sounding dull. Thanks for making these!

We want to eventually roll out all new XR IR based presets (like our JTM50) to replace all others, but that might be a while before that will happen as we are focused on XR IR creation.
Hey David, what would be the reason that my tonexes with your pack (ac30 and benson) sound dark? I tried different combinations and still a lot of bass.
Might depend on your guitar and rig - try turning the presense & treble up a number or two. I do that with them. Don't be afraid to use the EQ on the tonex - it sounds great!
@@john808welk I dont think they change them when they sell them. It's most likely the setup on guitars, modeler, and whatever studio system you are using.
@@simonprice2845 nope! You can use these and any of our XR IR packs with any amp. They are not tone matched to specific amp setting so they are not limited to a certain amp type. Use them with a DC 30, AC30, Marshall, etc!
I know these are targeted at P&W players, but it would be nice to get some tones without 6 effects on at a time. Especially ones that widen the stereo field.
That's fair! We try to keep these simple Iridium demos short and cycle mics quickly, so try to give the "final" context but we will take your feedback and try and offer more demo examples! These IRs can certainly sound spectacular with all sorts of styles.
We haven't made QC presets yet, but once we do they will probably be based on these IRs. The XR IRs sound killer on the QC (we prefer that to full captures).
When you say blended, are you referring to one on the left side, and the other on the right? Or, do you have a single IR that is blended and needs to be run in mono? It sounds like you have one on either side, but want to make sure for what I'm hearing in the sound clip.
@@keithconville5460 all the IRs are mono. So the blends are mixed mono files. If you have a stereo IR loader, you can just load a mono file on either side to combine whichever IRs you’d like (the Iridium can do that for example). This demo is just the mono IRs on both sides.
@@Tone_Factor Thank you! I speaking mostly to the example in the sound sample that was using the Iridium. I'm assuming you had the H on one side and M on the other.
@@keithconville5460oh gotcha. - no you are hearing the same IR on both sides. The text on the screen indicates which IR you are hearing and cycles through the H M and Blend.

This pack is RULES. The G12H and G12M Speaker blends are 👌🏻
Sound great! Let's get that DI ToneX DC30 to go with it! LOL
Just purchased! Found these in a fractal Facebook group page I’m stoked!
421 US 3 sounds delightful
Thanks so much for checking them out - glad you dig them! The vintage U5 is our fav 421!

I bought it, it's absurdly good
It’s here! 🔥
Kenyon wit da tonezzz
Hi! Is there a complete Helix patch that includes this awesome IR?
Coz I just see the old patch without this IR on the website. Thanks!
I gotta get at least 5 XR IRs. This is one of them. That’ll happen soon. Just One at a time.
Nice! Any chance you'll update the DC30 presets with an XR IR?

@Tone_Factor the JTM50 preset is amazing! I have no doubt a new DC30 will also be awesome. Keep up the great work!
Please make the updated patches with XR IR ❤️
Hi.. just want to ask if this XR IR`s is good also for tonex one?
The things beautiful ❤️
What Iridium setting (eq) did you use in this video? Can you share it?
Yes! Kenyon tracked this demo. Numbers in o'clock: Drive 9.5, level 9, bass 1.5, middle 7 (all the way off pretty much), treble 10, room 7 (off). Chime.
@@ToneFactor-nm2vi thank you 👊👊
This sounds nice, dood!
I'm curious if y'all have any plans to do some more Fractal presets?
Keep up the great work!!
Eventually! We have been focusing on XR IR packs lately.
The "57 Mic pack might be my favorite, I feel like it cuts through the most
The 57 is a classic and a staple mic for a reason!

@DavidHislop I have portlander. Thanks for the quick response 👍
When you adjust settings on tonex, do you suggest doing that in the studio or in the house?
All of their Tonex packs are super dark and dull for some reason, they sound nothing like the actual bright clear tone these guys use live.

would these be good to use the DH Bethel Preset Pack?

So has anyone tried the XR’s with the DH bethel patch yet? That’s my Favourite patch ever .
