Hah amazing! I gotta admit, this pedal also sounds so good in mono. But my go to is stereo when it’s available. And man did I find it inspiring. This pedal has already made its way on to my board
@@KenyonReed2 I just ordered one today. My understanding is that it's the same circuit that's in the Roland Jazz Chorus amps, and man does that sound good!
There's something so subtle and complex all at the same time. I feel like it doesn't override the original signal but compliments the tonality of the signal that doesn't feel artificial at all. Fantastic job dude.
I have had some moments where it did seem like that was the case, but then there are other moments where it seems like the right side is also doing a small form of modulation. It’s definitely not an equal stereo modulation on the left and right side, but it’s not just the left side doing modulation though.
I used the UA plugging boss CE1 and i love the sounds , I was trying to get an original one and now I see they release this.. im curious if anyone using the real ce 1 and if how they compare
I had an opportunity to play an original one, but didn’t get the chance in the end to actually try it so I’m pretty bummed. But I gotta say, this one feels realllly good. So much so that I’m making space on my board for it
There’s a video on Warm Audio’s youtube where they play them side by side. They sound very similar. This one keeps your high-end intact, whereas the original seems to slightly dull your tone, requiring maybe an EQ boosting highs beforehand if you want your original tone to come through the pedal. Not sure if that’s because the vintage one is just old. But this one sounds very close, possibly better depending on what you like. I would characterize the vintage one as sounding ever-so-slightly rounder. But honestly given the price, and the fact that there’s a preamp on this pedal, as well as the ability to choose chorus depth.. there’s really no contest. This pedal is the clear winner i think.
It’s great but as someone that is a sucker for, and collects high end chorus/vibrato pedals, there’s not a chorus pedal on the planet that tops the CE-2w. There’s a magic there with the trebly chime and the thickness, I think it’s the greatest chorus of all time.
Yeah it is a bummer that it’s not as clear, but like Matt said, the left LED is a representation of how hard you are hitting the preamp and getting it in to clipping/drive, which is sick.
I bought this and it's outstanding. The built in preamp really adds something too. I love it.
It really does. It’s made its way on to my board and I plan to keep it for a long time. I agree, the preamp is really spectacular.
I really appreciate that you demoed this pedal in stereo. In fact, yours was the ONLY demo I found that was done in stereo! New subscriber!!

Yeah man I agree. It’s such a charming pedal and it’s definitely getting integrated in to my board. It’s got too much to offer
This pedal sounds incredible. Love the Low/High input toggle too
Same, what a unique option for a way to manipulate a preamp
Cool device, I am not crazy about mono input/stereo out pedals. I am sure plenty of people will love it.
I know what you mean. It forces where it can go in the chain and that is a massive bummer.
But man does it sound good
Holy!😮 Sounds ace! Kenyon, what audio interface are you using to record your guitar ? Always sounds so clean
Thanks! I have an apogee symphony I/O
All the other reviews I’ve seen are saying the stereo out is a wet/dry out, but your stereo signal doesn’t sound that way at all. Any insight?

Any thoughts on how this compares to the boss waza chorus?
Sadly I haven’t spent any time with the boss waza chorus, but I hear they’re great.

Seems kind a stupid that the on/off led doesn’t clearly indicate when the pedal is on…
Because it’s not an On/Off LED. It’s an LED to show clipping. The On/Off representation is whether or not the LED on the right is blinking or not
