    Ben and Tyler.....Congratulations on this 5 star video. I worked with your grandfather Larry from 1966 until 1976 and I visited with him and your grandmother every year thereafter on our yearly visit to Kap. They were so proud of you and are smiling down on you now and thinking......two young men, so mature and likeable and carrying the Beauchamp name with such dignity and grace. I have stories from those Kap Police days that would make you laugh and perhaps one day will share them with you. Thank you for sharing this video with us and no doubt will watch it again. Bob Livingston

      Hi Robert! This comment just about made me tear up. I’m so happy you enjoyed the video thank you so much!! I always wish I could show my Grandparents these videos they loved this kind of stuff. By the way, I hear you might know something about a blanket being put over the windshield of Larry’s cruiser - we’ve had many laughs from that story. Thanks for watching, Robert!

      Hi Ben……Your dad messaged me about your reply. Before I could figure out how to answer you I sent him this reply. Thanks again and take care……
      Thank you Trevor and great to hear from you. I had not seen Ben’s comment but
      So nice to see it now and I will repeat that I really enjoyed his video. I would think that you would recall the reason why I pulled that prank on you father? I was on the job for about 6 months About a month before the night in question I was working the night shift and around 1 am I parked the cruiser at the stop sign on the Circle across from CIBC. Placed my head against the door window and dozed off. Your mom and dad were on their way home from an evening out and when he saw that I was in LaLa land he stopped his car and walked to the cruiser and saw that I had not locked the door. HE OPENED IT AND I FELL OUT ON THE ROAD. He laughed like there was no end and said, “Bob you should not sleep where people can see you”. I asked him if he had any favourite spots and he told me that behind Bud’s Texaco on Government Road was his favourite spot. Now you know the rest of the story. Please pass on to Ben. Take care. Bob. (Expanded answer follows).

      I should also mention that several blankets were used to wrap all the windows with tape. Then on the radio I used my most stressful voice and called, “C-1 to C-2 …..I need your help in the East End”. I have reminisced about this throughout the years and can visualize your dad waking up in total darkness wondering where he was. I was parked just feet away and it took him a minute or two before he opened the car door and saw me pissing myself laughing. Your dad and I laughed every time we met and repeated that story over again. I sure do miss my visits with your mom and dad on our annual visit or two to Kap.

    Loved it. I've been to Killarney twice, with the portage south in to Nellie Lake being more than tough enough for me, although Camper Christina made it look easy in her video. The wind can be so dangerous, but after watching you landing fish with no weight in the canoe, I'm sure you handled it easily. Thanks for a great look at the park. Next time we want to see it from the top of the La Cloche Range. p.s. the beard makes your brother look older. Maybe not important now, but...lol.

    This video is weird to me 1) it is amazing and I enjoyed watching it, the scenery videography (I rly wanna know what camera used to film) but on the other hand 2) I'm a beginner backcountry/canoer whose only been on 1 short guided trip in Algonquin and doing something like this would be so amazing but I'm just not experienced enough. So it makes me feel envious! I hope somehow I can gain enough experience to go on a trip like this someday!

    Favourite PP by far. Did a similar route a couple of years ago and it's well worth the 3k portage. Nice work in capturing it all!

    I enjoyed your video. It looked like a good trip and the video was well shot. I am a television producer so I really appreciate all the filming you put into your video. I just started my camping channel last year and it's been quite a rush. I am glad I found your channel, I look forward to more videos.

    Noticed drop shot rig. I used it first time this September and in deep water, all bass were 3-5 pounds 30 + feet deep but was after pickerel…but deep bass are good ones . Got one dinner pickerel too…you should shout out if in south east Ontario north Frontenac lake system is great

    This is definitely my favourite video on the channel (besides our trip ofc). Impressive save at 27:55, makes up for the snapped line. Also I'm Ty's biggest fan 🌟

    You guys made a great video here🤩. Really captured the rugged beauty of Killarney. Fishing was great. 1:05 Do you remember the bear cub at that first portage? Your Dad taught me how to fillet bass at that very campsite you guys stayed at. Also any sign of Bruce's tooth at the 3K portage? I'm sure there's an old, bucktooth Racoon sporting that like bling bling 😂. Hope the trip home wasn't as stressful compared to the cloud we had to paddle through on George, finally arriving home at 2:30Am, the next day being the first day of high school....Great stuff Guys!

      @benbeauchamp16  Рік тому +1

      Thank you, Steve! I forgot about that bear until my dad showed me some photos the other day. I remember the huge bear on the long portage and we all carried big sticks “just in case” hahaha. We did look for Bruce’s tooth but no luck. No lightning on the way back but very chilly wind and rain. Packed the car up in the dark and finally a canoe trip isn’t complete without midnight burgers on the way home just like old times
