    Ben..You're suffering needlessly. You're a good looking young man and I think if you were to get a haircut, turn your underwear inside out every few days and trim your toenails you could yoke up a nice young lady with a stix & brix house with central heat and a flush toilet.

      This has actually had me laughing my ass off. Let it be known that I have a beautiful girlfriend with an apartment in the city with all the amenities. This “suffering” is my getaway lol.
      As for the hair, underwear and toenails - no comment

    You are awesome!!! I loved this video. btw, I came from watching Tosh Self-propelled's last video. Looks like yall had a lot of fun. Try to ignore the rude posts. Some people have never grown up....such a shame. Hope your channel grows, Ben. I love how you share with everyone how much you love camping.

    Just in from a 3 days in, 5 day stay, 3 days out hiking excursion into the northern Albertan wilderness as warm as - 38 C in the afternoons .... about 130 L of gear between our two packs, tarps but no tents ( we rebuild/repair a bugout we erected 3 summers ago - and improved on since - under a spacious rock ledge on the edge of the lake we're familiar with where there's plenty of dead growth near by for building and burning and we go in prepared to stay long if the lakes yielding fish ... and it was Hard to come back home but adult responsibilities etc Keep doing what you're doing - there's more adventure in the woods than out as my traveling buddy says

      Wow that sounds like a dream excursion! Only someone in Northern Alberta can get away with “as warm as” when talking about -38C hahaha. Not sure if this is near where you were but we’ve got some family friends with a fishing camp on Lesser Slave Lake, I had the pleasure of spending a couple days out there when I was a kid and got into some BIG walleye. Alberta is definitely a place I’d love to explore some more, thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping by the channel!

    Idk where you're at w your winter camping gear now... but you can get ice fishing shoulder harnesses for pulling sleds and it makes it WAY easier.

    The problems/sagging with your tent pitch could probably be solved by simply raising up the center pole a bit

    Is the wood stove drawing air from inside of the tent only? or is there a draw from roof somewhere? You said the snow had sealed the bottom of the tent and the wood stove was going all night. Great camera work again....the eats looked good too!!!

    • @benbeauchamp16
      @benbeauchamp16  Рік тому +1

      There is a vent at the top that lets air in but keeps rain/snow out. It’s very much a beginner setup, even with the snow sealing the bottom it only stayed warm in there for 2-3 hours max if you don’t put a log on every 1 hour or so. I did say the stove was going all night but I should’ve said it kept the edge off all night.
      I think the next time I bring it out I’ll do a whole breakdown of the hot tent setup and what I like (or don’t like) about it.
      Thank you again for watching, can’t tell you how much I appreciate all the feedback.
