I probably would not try to use it all day cutting 2X boards, but it's just the right size to throw in a job bag vs. your conventional heavy circular saw. Operating instructions very clear. How accurate is this jig? For example, is it comparable to a good jobsite tablesaw for the cuts it can make? I also wonder if it won't go slightly out of square with hard use or even in a season or two of wood movement.
I have a very similar Jig that I built myself. It is as accurate as you can make it. I test my cuts with a digital protractor every few months. Still dead on 90.0 and 45.0 degrees

I have a Skill saw and yesterday I want to do a crosscut jig, but it seems that on the left side where the engine is, I can't close the circular to full capacity, because it hits the aluminum. And i have to cut from the height of the aluminum bar to stay only 8 mm in height, so I can close the circular completely.
I understand you. The aluminum guide is high and does not allow the saw to be lowered and take advantage of the entire radius of the disc. I also ran into that problem. If you turn the aluminum guide, it will not allow you to place wide wood. You must find a rigid guide with a height equal to the distance between the skate and the motor, a few millimeters. Lucky.

It does but logically you need a stopper just barely allowed the saw blade to touch the end wood

I don't cut aluminum. Stanley or DeWalt brands are suitable and can close full
